When I returned for my second appointment after making another 30-minute drive, I was informed that the phlebotomist wasn't there, so I couldn't even have my blood drawn. After two disappointing visits, I decided not to return to this office. To make matters worse, I later received a bill for an additional $73. I spent over six months trying to get someone to explain why I owed more money after already paying my copay. I called weekly, left countless messages, and never received a return call. Because no one would respond, the balance was eventually sent to collections. I paid the balance just to deal with the collections issue, then disputed the charge with my bank because even they agreed the situation seemed unusual. Despite that, I am still being billed for the same charge. Once again, I spent months trying to get answers with no response. When I finally reached someone, I was essentially told that if I didn't pay, it would simply be sent to collections again. No one could actually explain why I owed the money. I no longer have the insurance I had at the time of my visit, and I was also told the doctor I originally saw doesn't even work there anymore. The lack of communication and patient care at this office is unacceptable. Ignoring patients for months while continuing to bill them and threaten collections is not how a medical practice should operate. This was never discussed with us that the clinic wasn't going honor that until after they fertilized all of my eggs against my request. They explained it away afterwards and sharing why they could not do it, while I expressed that my husband and I were trying to avoid having leftover embryos due to our moral and ethical beliefs. So that breach of trust was violated and the nurse that was assigned to us (Stephanie I think was her name) was changed over because she was quite frankly condescending and lacked sympathy to our whole situation as if we should be happy they made us more embryos against our wishes. We had done two transfers there, and while they did not end up resulting in a live birth, there were other red flags. Not only did their billing team needing to be reminded regularly to bill my Progyny insurance and not my regular insurance, but they also trying to bill us $500ish for something two years later after we had already left which is not even legal to do. My insurance held them accountable to that and the bill was withdrawn. The front office communication was always extremely challenging with people actually being accountable to what they were going to do, whether it was that they're going to call you back or follow up on certain documents. The only person I thought had integrity in their words was Nas. She was always amazing both on the phone and in person. I have major concerns with their fertility clinic, their practices, and the lack of oversight to their operations.
