I went here for a 90 minute full body deep tissue massage which I confirmed at the beginning of the 90 minutes with the therapist. The check in process and environment was comfortable and clean! But honestly for $175 I've had better massages at a price point of $60. The therapist was cool, and he did focus a lot on my back and neck as requested but he missed massaging my muscles in my front calf and shin, my hands and my glutes. My hands always have tight muscles and cramp because I work on a computer all day. So was really looking for that pressure relief. I was thinking at any moment he was going to circle back. But then he said okay that's all the time we have today. Huh?!?! How do you go for 90 minutes and forget to give massage the front of my legs and my glutes and my hands. He went from my feet to my quads. Like you skipped over the whole part of leg that connects my ankle to my quads. How?!?! And I could hear the audio he was listening to on his AirPods. Maybe he was distracted but if I'm gonna spend over $150 on a massage I expect it to be worth the money. This was disappointing. My hands and shins are still tight and sore. And let me tell you not being able to sleep on my chest, this was a total treat. My therapist was Rachel. I told her exactly what I was going through. The tension, leg cramps and problem areas in my legs, arms and shoulders and she dug right in. She also helped stretch my legs. I was skeptical but It felt so good. It was stretching I never knew I needed. By the end of my massage my body was so relaxed and the discomfort was gone. She recommended some stretches at home for me. I needed a massage and I checked out IMR. They had a same day opening with Katelyn. I showed up a few minutes early to fill out the paperwork. There wasn't any signage on the outside of the building but I was able to find it. It is all the way at the south side of the parking lot inside the office building. The place smelled really nice... kind of like a lemon/eucalyptus. Katelyn was really good. She made sure we were on the same page before we got started. She was able to identify all my trouble spots and adjusted pressure as necessary. I had a lot of tightness in my back that had accumulated in my neck and shoulders. I left feeling much better! Went here for the first time immensely stoked for some relief since this place has raving reviews. I was able to book the appointment online, Massage was wonderful, beneficial & my masseuse was communicative and put in so much work and I had a good experience overall. Music during the massage was great. Went in for a deep tissue massage, due to a ongoing 3 day migraine. Front desk clerk was so kind. The only things I would've preferred a tad bit differently: -First time appointment, I was called and asked to reschedule my time due to a masseuse not being available for the hot stones I added on, sure no worries. -Got a second phone about 15-30 mins after letting me no that female masseuse would be available for the hot stones. At this point I was annoyed and ended up just changing the service to a foot scrub instead, but the time still remained the same which I was fine with. -Neon lights were a tad bit aggressive and unexpected especially for having a migraine, (light sensitivity; a primary and notable symptom) wish they were a bit more dimmed, sitting in the waiting room with one eye shut was a bit rough, which I suppose confused me a bit, only because medical massages are offered for services. Aesthetically I can see the appeal, just not the best choice compared to a traditional "spa" experiences -The essential oil aroma diffuser was also a bit heavy in scent, and it being a bit stuffy in the weighweighting room. I definitely needed some fresh air and I did get uncomfortable. which I suppose confused me a bit, only because they offer medical massages as a service option. -I do wish the room was a bit darker as well. Hubby and I planned a day of relaxation for our anniversary. We booked a 90 min couples massage by phone. We were not able to complete the intake form via the link texted to each of us but we came in 15 mins early and were able to complete the forms onsite and pay for services upfront. The masseuses brought us to the room and introduced themselves to each of us and asked what we expected and they took that in consideration and left room for us to prepare.
