In November 2024 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had three small lumps in my right breast. My cancer was hormone-responsive, both estrogen and progesterone. So I chose to have a double mastectomy. I am thankful I did not have to get chemo or radiation. In July 2025, I underwent that double mastectomy and chose aesthetic flat closure without implant reconstruction. I had been looking around the area for any modality that I could to help with the scar tissue and adhesions. It took until November 2025 before I found Thérapie Massage. I was booked with Shannon, and she has been a godsend ever since! I've been wanting to get a lymphatic drainage massage for a while now and finally tried it out for the first time. After reading good reviews about Nalea, I booked an appointment with her. She is very knowledgeable and nice. She answered any questions I had and also showed me what I can do at home in between my massages. Without even telling her my problem areas, after my massage, she told me where I had the most congestion/issues. And they were on point!! I also have been having this sciatic pain for the past 2 months. She applied pressure on my butt and I felt so much relief! It's been a few days after my massage and I dont feel that pain anymore! Amazing! I will return to have this done routinely. The reasoning for not giving 5 stars is only because the front desk wasnt that friendly. After my amazing massage, I went out to the front and was not greeted. I wanted to love this place!! I should have done my homework as it turns out they didn't have any awareness for cosmetic procedure post op care or comfort. I needed to have my head elevated and they were unable to provide a pillow. So I just laid stressed getting more swelling and tension in my neck and face. They were going to do the entire treatment dry? In previous experiences I typically have had a balm or oil applied that stimulates the lymphatic system. They inquire about your medical history or surgery on the form and ask again in person only to disregard your needs or requests. I imagine due to lack of understanding. In hindsight I realize this establishment is for oncology patients and not cosmetic post op or somewhere to go if you want to look snatched. My first therapy massage was today with Nalea. I was cancer free and was overdue for my lymph node healing massage. I had several issues that was bothering me. My first appointment was on October 8th with Sally and it was an absolutely amazing experience! She was very gentle, knowledgeable, engaging and genuinely caring. Well above my expectations. I had surgery late last year and friends recommended lymphatic drainage when I was healed. I had never had a massage like this and was very used to every other type of massage from deep tissue, Swedish, Thai to sports so I was skeptical knowing this was light touch. Following my surgery, it was recommended that I consider several sessions of MLD (Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage). I wasn't sure what to expect, but welcomed any support as I was in pain. My phone call with Sally, made me feel that everything would be fine. She was wonderful and encouraging! I purchased a package after my initial massage. I was placed with Connie, and I have nothing but praise for her. She was AMAZING!!! Very Knowledgable, caring, patient, understanding and compassionate. I can't say enough great things about my massage with Coryn. As someone who has suffered with chronic illness and pain for most of my life, I have often sought out holistic methods of managing my disease. I've tried massage many times to ease my symptoms and stress as well as the tightness I have in my legs and hips from long-distance running. I usually find those massages to be relaxing in the moment, but even as I'm walking out I can feel the pain and tightness creeping back. Coryn is amazing. I had a two-hour Thérapie session with her and she found everything that was contributing to my issues. She is intuitive and attentive and very skilled. In addition to the areas I requested, she spent considerable time on my calves, which released a lot of tension in my feet that I hadn't even noticed. I really enjoyed that she used stretching in my session as well. My massage ended five hours ago and I still feel calm and relaxed with no sign of tightness, and I feel like I will actually be able to sleep tonight. Trust if I could hangout there everyday I would. I've never been to a massage place that's so comforting it fells like home. I've been coming here for about one year. The staff here have also walked me through a loss in life. All the therapists here are miracle workers. They are trained with all the normal massages and numerous medical massages. I initially went there with a family member for lymphatic massages for surgery recovery. Then I started going for regular session with Michelle myself. Michelle even helped put my hip back in place after I dislocated my hipbone snowboarding last winter. I have been going to Therapie since Sally opened. Sally and her specially selected/trained staff are truly "Massage Therapists"; not your run-of-the-mill "massagers" like you get on a cruise ship and other places in town. You may feel good for about 2 hours, but the effects don't last. At Therapie, you receive long lasting help to get you through life without pain. They are not Miracle Workers, sometimes it takes months. But compared to lifelong pain, I'll take the former. The services are tailored to each specific client based upon THEIR input. Yes, that means you have to tell your Therapist what your problems are and more. I was one of those people who was afraid to tell my Therapist what was wrong in fear that they would label me a difficult client. Remember, your Therapist is like a Doctor; they can't read your mind! They can, however, read your body even if you don't have specific issues. From the time you walk into the front door to the end of your massage, you will not only feel relaxed, but you will finally feel relief from pain. Hands down Therapie is the best in town! read more

I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing hip pain for a few weeks. I first went to a chiropractor and that did not bring relief so I knew it was muscular. My chiro referred me to Therapie and I knew they were going to be amazing because of all the specialized medical massages they offered. I saw Nalea and she worked some lymphatic massage into my massage time. Not only did my hip pain go completely go away after 24 hours but my cellulite dramatically improved!! Since being pregnant I developed this deep indent on my butt and some embarrassing cellulite around my thighs. It would show through most clothing and became an insecurity of mine. I noticed the next day my deep indent was almost completely gone! I was thrilled!! I cannot recommend this place enough! Everything about it was wonderful. Decided to give Therapie a try based on the glowing reviews & a recommendation for Yoshi but my experience today didn't live up to the hype. My schedule didn't align for a couple weeks with Yoshi but I figured I'd try another therapist based on the reviews. The receptionist was able to fit me in last minute. After a long day of travel, thought it'd be nice to get a massage. There are a lot of pros. Everyone is helpful and nice....that's seemed pretty consistent which is awesome. The facility is clean and welcoming and parking is convenient. The cons were with my massage therapist, Cindy. She was a sweetheart but lacked an awareness of the body and intuition and follow through. I should've guessed as much when they had a last minute opening with her. I let her know the problem areas, about my condition and asked for deeper pressure for my hands and feet. She said she'd check with me multiple times about the pressure and also said she'd be sure to focus on the hips, do some reflexology and would work the abdomen. Sadly, she didn't follow through on any of that. She asked twice about the pressure. 1st time: immediately after starting when I was face down. At that point, she started on the neck and shoulders and it was good. The problem was everything lower than the shoulder blade was soft...almost as if she was just going through the motions. I've had more massages than I can count and majority of them have been in tune with the body and will start softer but gradually get deeper in the trouble areas as the muscles allow for it. Not the case here. Before I knew it, it was time to flip over. So she asked about the pressure and I asked if she could be a more firm with the pressure. Well, from there it was WORSE. Even those who do deep tissue, they work up to the pressure. Cindy just started stabbing every area pretty aggressively. My entire body tensed. Now, I will say she was so friendly and it wasn't that she didn't want to do a good job. She's simply not the therapist for me. Finally, I jerked away and she said "oh" in a surprised tone then asked if I was ok. I told her I ask for deep pressure in the hands and feet but she's instead gouging every other part of my body. She was very apologetic. Then the last 3 minutes were finished with perfect pressure. Even if you're applying a crazy deep pressure (which I didn't ask for), you don't go full throttle at the first touch. And there wasn't purpose to it either. She was just digging in as hard as she could where she could, especially with her knuckles. In hindsight, I should've spoken up more. I'm used to those who excel at bodywork and I hate to micromanage. But Cindy left me in such bad condition and undid all the progress that my practitioners made when I was back home. I've been laid up in bed since having the massage this morning in tons of pain and a debilitating headache. This was by far one of the worst experiences I've had and I'm in such terrible pain. Needless to say, if I decided to give Therapie another try, I wouldn't see Cindy. And it's not that she's awful. She just isn't a healer or as knowledgeable in applying the healing aspect of bodywork. This is a job for her and would do well with those who simply want to feel a little more relaxed through basic touch. read more

I first came to Therapie for lymphatic drainage and myofascial release massage. Both things are difficult to find as they are specialties. I found that Therapie has an even more specialized version of lymphatic massage for women that have had breast surgeries. I had a reduction last year and after one massage some problems cleared up that had been an issue for 9 months! One word: phenomenal. Take what I have to say straight to your soul, people. I'm a personal trainer here in Spring Valley. As one would expect, I have a very physical job where my muscles and tendons are constantly working. Someone like myself absolutely needs therapeutic work on a regular basis. Prior to moving my business to Spring Valley, I regularly worked with a massage therapist in Los Angeles. In fact I have worked with many therapists over the last ten years. Believe me when I say Sally has by far single handedly been the best massage therapist I've ever worked with. I have done everything from deep tissue massage, hot stone, shiatsu, acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments. The list goes on. I'm a firm believer the body must first heal through natural bodily therapy. Which is precisely what Sally focuses on. Major emphasis on the word, THERAPY. Sally understands it's not always about digging into muscles as hard as one can with their hands, and elbows. It's being able to read, feel, and sense where the problematic area originally derives from. Then releasing the toxins, and tension in order to move more freely. Earlier this summer I severely strained my bicep tendon. The bicep connects directly to your shoulder. If the bicep is strained it will usually cause issues for the shoulder as well. I had to stop lifting weights and take time to rehabilitate. Which was very frustrating. I utilized rehab techniques. Saw my regular therapist. Visited my chiropractor on a weekly basis. Even had the chance to work with a therapist for the Los Angeles Clippers. In the end, nothing was truly fixing the problem. From the moment Sally met me, she immediately pointed out irregularities of my posture. (I honestly didn't have to tell her very much for her figure out my many issues aside from the bicep injury.) She explained a huge part of the reason my bicep tendon hadn't healed properly was due to a build up of tight muscle tissue in my lats (back). More specifically along the side of my back. So not only was it preventing my bicep from healing, but causing other problems with my shoulder. She utilized techniques I had not previously been familiar with. The difference was night and day. My bicep tendon, I kid you not, felt 70-80% better after my first session was done. I wasn't super tender like I had been with previous therapists. My body just felt GOOD. Heck. I felt like I was ready to start hitting the weights again! (Don't worry. I didn't do that. As much as I want to I'm taking a little more time off.) It's important for you to work with a therapist who understands how the body must heal. One who doesn't simply rub oils on your back, or try to completely destroy ya. Sally is very much in tune with the body's alignment, placement of tendons, setting proper range of motion, etc. She's also very considerate and kind. So please, folks. Believe me when I say I recognize a great therapist when I see them. She is absolutely fantastic. I haven't had the chance to work with her other therapists yet. However, if they're under Sally's guidance then they must be superb. I will be referring clients of mine, and loved ones to visit her office. Do yourself and your body a massive favor. Make an appointment today. The money is beyond worth it. You will never need to look for another massage therapist ever again. read more
