I'm leaving this review because I don't think I can go back to this place after my experience today. I've been coming here and bringing my family here for 8 years. I tip 25-35% cash religiously. I have never missed an appointment and I'm always early. I'm a loyal, respectful and kind customer and I've always been satisfied. Today I had a car emergency the day of my appointment. The dealership kept delaying me until I realized we were getting into my appointment. I was about to call but they called me to see if I was still coming into my appointment and in the middle of me explaining my situation once she realized I wasn't able to come in and BEFORE I could request a rebook the lady who calls says "well this is considered a no show and next time you need to call us and let us know or you will be charged" then she hung up on me. This was 10 minutes into my appointment time. This was such a rank experience and out of the norm for this place but I also feel like my first offense reveals how rude and lacking in patience and compassion they can be regardless of customer loyalty? read more

I always like to start positive, the staff is friendly and they are very accommodating to getting you the services you request for the time of your choosing. They are opened late and which really helps with my hectic work/life schedule. They're location is also very conveniently located. With that being said, I would like to say parking can be a bit of a pain in the behind. I have had my share of not so great experiences there but this last one pushed me to never want to return. It was 3 days before the holiday weekend and i wanted my nails to be festive, the manicurist asked if i wanted a French tip, to which i agreed, i wish i didn't my fingers DONT look like they belong to the same hand. And to add insult she rushed my manicure and therefore it chipped in 3 days. It didn't even make it to Christmas Eve, ANNNND i went on a day where it was slow but the manicurist wanted to go home so alas she left- $50 for a French tip mani !!! That lifted in 3 days , was subpar, nails uneven. My pedicure.... My left foot nails were longer than my right, the woman also didn't want to cut my ingrown toenails. She asked me if they hurt and i mentioned that they didn't hurt while my feet weren't in closed toed shoes so she said she'd rather not touch them if they didn't hurt. Wait whut lol i also had to tell her to even out the length and they were still off. Listen as a hard working person in healthcare i want my money to be worth something, i want to come in, relax, and be pampered not get rushed to a chair, with a service rushed and not be allowed to even turn on the massage chair. There are so many salons, want to avoid being rushed, hear gossip about staff, find parking, get your moneys worth, get your nails cut properly, receive a decent manicure that lasts more than 3 days.... Sadly I didn't have a good experience AND I was referred by one of my clients! I was hoping to make this spot my new go to but I was very unpleased by the basic services I asked for. My pedicure was okay nothing to rave about. My hands.... Oh boy well I told my nail tech the shape and color (French tip) she started the job filing my nails down for 20 minutes. My nails were on fire! Burning! I asked her to please stop and she said she was making them even. She then thickly GLOBBED the layer of gel builder all over the place. It was seeming down onto my skin so when it went into the light all of my fingers BURNED!! She told me if it burns take it out. And I said yes but your gel is all over the place. And she then told me she will fix after. Well "after" ended with another 20 minutes of filing down and more burning! I was confused about this whole process because I've been getting this service for YEARS at 2 other places and this was sooooo terrible. She needs to be trained properly on how to apply. I ALMOST walked out at this point because I was so unhappy and she kept insisting to file more which meant more burning. I started to fix my own nails and she then got mad and told me she can have her co worker fix it. I told her "I'm not trying to be difficult I just want my nails even and not all globby from the thick gel builder" she kept getting irritated. AND I'm Never one to complain to anyone about anything. All My reviews on yelp are positive. I get embarrassed myself. But this was very unprofessional and dangerous. I told the owner after my service and she said she could have someone fix my nails but my nails were terribly hurting and had enough burning done. If they had good customer service they'd walk around keeping an eye out on their customers checking in if everything is going alright. (In my opinion) she was on her phone the whole time at the desk not a care in the world it seemed like. I even asked the owner how long they've been open because I felt like my techs were new to this or something when she told me 12 years it blew my mind. About 95% of the time I was juggling the gel setter on my lap between my gel manicure and pedicure. I was afraid of dropping it in the water and getting electrocuted with the back and forth juggling. I think the more upsetting part is that Jay(Jade) got called out by her coworker for doing a bad job on my gel manicure and rather than respond in a professional manner, she said to me "look at how bad she did your pedicure. Your cuticles are all messy and all over the place!" Then proceeded to argue with her. Look, if I have to call you out on doing a botched job that's one thing but if you're coworker points it out, where's your integrity? If you do something, do it right the first time and we're good. I've been coming here for a year, driving all the way from Tarzana. The reason is simply for Justina! She's amazing. Any manicurist can paint nails, but Justina is a nail artist! She designs nails to you and your requirements. I have very brittle and thin nails, so acrylic nails damage my nail beds. Just gel alone isn't strong enough for me. When I was traveling in Japan, I discovered hard gel, or gel builder. Not many salons or manicurists will know how or even want to use it because it takes longer, requiring additional steps, than gel alone. Justina take a pride in her work. She attends nail shows every year to stays abreast of cool latest trends in nail design. She has stickers, gems, and can even draw artwork onto your nails! I am usually not one to complain, but I've been unhappy since I left the nail salon. I came in for a FILL. The bottom of my nails still have white residue from my previous gel color (white), and I left the salon with silver polish all over. The nail tech that serviced me was really nice, but failed to mention the additional charges that made my FILL cost $70. A simple v-French costing me $70 for a fill is just insane to me, but the biggest disappointment was not mentioning that it was extra charge. Apparently $15 extra for v-French. My nails were supposed to be coffin shape, but they don't look it to me. This is disappointment #2 The first time I came here, I got a full set and asked to have my nails cleaned since they had dirt under. (Usually a given to clean under nails before putting acrylic) The nail tech refused to do so, and mentioned to me I'd have to pay for a full manicure for her to clean under my nails. Needless to say, she didn't clean my nails, and proceeded with my fresh set. This was disappointment #1 If you're coming here, expect to pay a good amount. Ask if there's additional charges because they won't tell you. I do t think I'll give this place another opportunity to redeem, unfortunately. read more

I am giving this place one star because of the customer service. The receptionist could be much friendlier. I have not had the best run-ins with her. I used to be a repeat customer, I even had a punch card, but my last experience here was the final time I was going to put up with the poor treatment. She wasn't at the receptionist desk when I walked in, and when she came back she didn't even greet me. She sat down, looked at me and said, "what do you want" in a rude tone. She then told me I should have made an appointment even though I've been there countless times without one. She yelled at the nail techs (as she always does when I am there, I never know what she is mad at them for) and also argued with a customer in the middle of the store. I didn't even stay to get my nails done because I was so fed up. The nail techs are fine as far as customer service goes, however the regular polish manicures are not the best. They apply too much polish and it becomes very thick.
