My Husband and I hired Tim to be out DJ/Photographer for our wedding , when i talked to Tim back in…read moremarch i told him that my husband and i are not party people at all and that we didn't want anything to loud , i also informed him that we didn't want any rap at our wedding at all since my husband does not like rap AT ALL !! we hired him to take pictures and be our DJ from 11AM to 7 PM. The week before our wedding i could not get a hold of him for anything !! after several attempts of calling/texting him he finally called me the night before our wedding to tell me that he would be leaving Kansas around 6AM and would be in the Ozarks by 10 at the latest, that next morning while my Bridesmaids and I were getting ready i got a text from him saying that he was going to be 30 minuets late for pictures which were supposed to start at 11 and i figured an hour for pictures would be fine but he didn't end up showing up till 12:30!!! we got maybe 10-15 pictures at the bridges where i originally wanted to get all my pictures at , we ended up having to wait till after the ceremony to finish all the pictures up at the church ...... which i was trying to avoid so that we could spent time with my family who traveled so far to join us on our special day which some of them ended up leaving shortly after we were done with our pictures, after the wedding i was later told by one of my bridesmaids that the photographer wasn't even going to take pictures of our first dance till my aunt who was also my bridesmaid mentioned that we would want pictures of our First dance, after the wedding i had my father talk to him abut him being late and he took off a small amount for that, and we were also told that he would expedite out pictures for us and have some of them for us that next weekend , i didn't see any pictures till September 25th , by that time i would have thought that i would have a least seen the raw pictures but we hadn't seen anything!! Before he sent us some of our pictures on the 25th the day before i had tired to text him to ask when we would get any of our pictures. I was told and I quote " Dakkota, would you like a rushed job? I wont put out less than quality products because i want my brides to have the best" end quote when i got the pictures the nest day i was looking through them and every picture is blurry and unfocused and I cant use a single picture I've gotten so far, on the contract it states that I would have my pictures Raw/Edits/DVD within 21 days it has been almost 2 months since my wedding and i have only gotten some of my pictures. As for Tim being our DJ he did play rap like we asked him not to he didn't play all the songs we wanted him too for the intro we wanted Bruno Mars- Marry Me but he played a song by Micheal Jackson, i don't have a problem with him but Tim didn't even consult me before changing the song on us,when it was time for the Father/Daughter Dance He ended up not being able to even find the song i wanted and it took him 20 minuets to find it,the music after the dinner was so loud we could barley even hear ourselves think. i ended up leaving with a bad headache that night. when Tim and his Assistant showed up that morning neither of them looked professional at all , he showed up in baggy shorts and a lose t-shirt and she was wearing Leggings that looked like denim with a t-shirt , now we didn't have a big fancy wedding but it wasn't exactly casual either. Tim is also almost impossible to get a hold of , we have been trying to contact him for weeks now about the pictures and i have barley heard a peep out of him ... and the only time i got a hold of anyone it was his secretary and i had called his cell phone and he was forwarding his calls to his office , Both my mother and Father have tried to get a hold of him and we haven't heard a peep, when my Mother tried to call she said that she got to talk to him for about a second and the the call got "dropped" and when she tried to call again it went straight to voicemail, his inbox is almost always full so you can never leave a message and trying to text him is nearly impossible and when you do finally get a hold of him its either several hours after you called/texted or its a couple days afterwards. I will not be using R2R entertainment for anything ever again, My husband and I are quite upset with how he has handled things and i think someone who id thinking about hiring him should look around to see if you can fund someone that will do the job right and the way you want it .

I am so thankful that I brought my over 500 old negatives, from the 40s - 70s to Something…read moreDifferent. Everything from the initial contact to the final product was above and beyond my expectations. My aunt had cut apart film strips and most of the negatives were black and white,and I know it was a tedious job. I had even sent this job to a family friend, and he couldn't do it for less than $550. It took four months to scan and convert all these negatives to a jpeg, and I knew it was going to take a long time. I had researched and contacted so many other places that wanted to charge twice as much. Something Different really came through for me and I would not hesitate to bring my projects here for them to work on. Also, they created a memories disk for me, I got the jpegs but also a memory disk as well. I am so, so grateful for Something Different. All my dad's boot camp pics from WWII, the 5th Armored Division tank he worked on, trucks, the Pacific Ocean, his farm, my grandparents whom I never met, my parents wedding day pictures, rare pictures of myself and my siblings. All these would have been gone had it not been for Something Different. Terrible service! Potential customers beware of fake accusations!…read more I was told when I took my VHS and 9mm tapes to their drop off location in Olathe, KS on June 29, 2023 that the completion date would be October 13, 2023. This was the due date on their printed paper work given to me on my drop off date. I made the choice to call them to "expediate" their service and agreed to pay an additional cost. I hand-delivered a deposit to their Leawood, KS location on July 10. My local bank verified the check was cashed by them on 7-16-23. I was told by phone call to them, the digitized versions of my tapes would be completed in 6 to 8 weeks. Remember: My deposit insured the expediated cost. I did not receive a follow up email or text. I should have made sure I had that. My mistake for believing them! No correspondence or phone calls by them or me until October 20th. I called them. I mistakenly assumed my order was delayed so the company would charge me the non-expediated cost and have my order completed now, without further poor customer service. Boy, was I duped! They had not started on my order and complained very loudly on the phone that the due date written on my order was not a guarantee. They told me the order would be completed at the higher cost within 2 weeks or I could wait until February 1, 2024 for the "economy" rate. I was told my deposit was non-refundable. After more distasteful conversation, I ultimately decided to get my original tapes back from them and cease doing business with people of such poor character. I made an appointment to get my tapes. The man yelled at me! They quickly digitized one tape while I waited for 15 minutes in their Westport office to pick up my original order or tapes. I did not ask them to do this. The middle age man tried again to dissuade me from taking my business, but the irreparable damage was done. Of course, a business of such poor character, kept a deposit they should have refunded. Lesson: Do not do business with Something Different Media Group!

When I picked up my order I found that my one physical box was considered three boxes by them, at three times the price. In addition, their estimate of 6-8 weeks was short by 4 weeks. I received several voice mails that my order was ready, but every time I called backed they didn't know anything about it. Otherwise, they made no attempt to initiate contact with me. I did not appreciate that they put stickers on every piece of my original media. Some of these items were somewhat valuable.
