Worst cable service. Worst customer service. Choose other providers to avoid problems.

By far the worst company I have EVER dealt with. Our internet service was never even installed, and they want to keep charging us, even though we do NOT have the service we are paying for!! We finally decide to just cancel, but THAT process is even more frustrating!! I would rather pay triple for my internet service, than to even have to deal with this bullshit company again. read more

I never have issues with connections or anything like that. My issue was when I signed up for the service and my monthly statements never reflected my quoted price. I paid what I was quoted and every month there were late fees because I didn't pay the full balance. After a few attempts to call to try to figure it out and never receiving a call back, I gave up. I woke up this morning to no internet. I called and the lady on the phone was incredibly rude. She wouldn't let me finish a sentence, and wouldn't listen to me. After she told me to go to my nearest office, I went into the one on Nantahala Rd. There I spoke with Farrah. She was polite, professional and listened to me. After 5 minutes, my account was fixed. The error was on their end and she made the proper adjustments. My internet was turned back on shortly after. I would give Farrah a 5 star review. My overall experience today with Mediacom forces me to give only 3. Mediacom needs to look into the customer service reps they have on the phone. read more

Started off great first few months, just been absolutely terrible as of late though. Internet constantly drops off or just becomes so slow it may as well have dropped completely. It's at random too, sometimes it could be 2 PM and it'll shut off other times it could be 4 in the morning. Absolutely terrible, ESPECIALLY considering the fact I'm paying a premium for their highest tier internet. 10/10 when it does work but in terms of overall 2/10. The worst cable company, Period! I have tried to call for two days about non functioning Internet. The recording says they have extremely heavy call volume and cannot take the call. Other times it said there would be a 15 minute wait and to press a number they will call back. Guess what they never called. Day three we still have non functioning Internet. I live in Navarre, Fl and there are no other cable companies here. If you have a choice get anything other than mediacom. Smoke signals would be better. read more

With the internet going out on a DAILY BASIS, a phone call to customer service would prove to be equally as good as the internet service Mediacom provides= FREAKIN' AWFUL. We just got wonderful news that AT&T fiber optics is available in our area (Navarre). Mediacom was the ONLY option until now. I urge you all to see if you now have AT&T fiber optics and save yourself from this JOKE of a company. read more

Please stay away when I told them I go over a certain amount of data they said no way anyone cold ever do that and I told them I did with my cellular connection the girl said I was lied and I didn't pay 100 bucks for 4 lines with total unlimited service to bad they could have had my bundle but I can drop everything and have just my phones run the whole house so they can suck my d!ck but they couldn't do that right read more

It is the most unprofessional, arbitrary and terrible company I have ever come across!!!! Rosemary Beach does not allow other service providers, so we are stuck with these - We connected the service in December 14 and JUST in June of '16 finally got the line pulled to the house and buried - many, many, many dropped calls later.....they told us, we did not complain enough......and will not reimburse us for the non existent internet and TV service. As of July 3rd, the service is again not working - and today alone, we had 4 dropped calls trying to resolve this issue. HOW CAN THEY STAY IN BUSINESS?????? I am so ready (have been ready since I've had mediacom) to just stop having internet. They are cheating me out of 54-56$ a month for Internet that hardly works at all and if it does work it's super slow. You can reset the modem as much as you want you can't fix crappy internet with horrible customer service. End of story. I would recommend looking around, apparently this is the "best" service for the "best" price that we can get in Navarre. That's obviously not saying much. The last time we called them to complain and ask if they would come and see what the problem is they said "okay we'll come on this day between 1:00-1:30pm." Okay, cool. Thanks. Too bad that's not what happened. My sister her husband were in town that day and they wanted to go to the beach before I had work at 4:00pm so we said for the mediacom people to come whenever before a certain time and the 1:00-1:30 is what they came up with. The day passes and we're waiting on this guy to show up between 1 and 1:30 and hey guess what surprise he doesn't show up doesn't call doesn't do anything. So I just say hey okay maybe they're super busy today running late. Nope. Guy shows up an hour and a half late and I decide he wasted my time with my family by not saying anything to me at all about how they've been so super busy all day and didn't make an effort to call so I'm gonna waste his time and not answer my door because I'm then getting ready for work. The guy keeps knocking and knocking and looks inside my windows for people and comes across my sister walking around. So she has no choice but to answer the door and he's all explaining how they were so busy and she said "the homeowner had to leave and go to work because no one showed up on time and no one called". To which he responds, "Oh, I can still come in though". Doesn't ask or anything just says I can come in. This dude who is an hour and a half late with no calls just tried to invite himself into my house. Like no. So my sister says "no. The homeowner isn't here and we're leaving now." So the guy goes back to his van or whatever and walks around the side of my house for whatever reason idk what's wrong with this dude and I get in my car in my work uniform on and leave. ANYWAYS, horrible services and horrible customer service. Being this is the only network that works at all around Navarre I have no choice because my husband plays Xbox and he uses a lot of wifi, but as soon as something better comes along or I've had simply enough of their crappy everything I'm done. They literally have no "loyal" customers. They have customers who are simply dealing with them and their stupidity. read more

if we could get att like our phone i would but we cant get no other service here in gulf breese. we are outraged had 5 different men from mediacom come to our place in 8 days!!! none has fixed the issue of our internet not working the right way like it used to they gave us 4 new router boxes obviously it isnt the router then on the 5th guy comes says the box outside looks old so i asked him why didnt they fix this past 4 guys he ignored me and said he cant fix it either! saying have to wait day or 2 now for guy to come and now our tivo box is old also not even hooked up right by the first guy over 16 months ago! terrible customer service, when we can get att we are switching asap read more

I am currently leaving in a complex apartment and as such, I have to deal with Mediacom due to the relationships of my landlord with Mediacom as far as internet, phone and TV subscriptions. So far, I have to say that I am very disappointed at the service Mediacom is offering. The internet modem is always breaking down, the items on the billing invoice are not clear and I frequently need to call the customer service to have my issues resolved. EVERY TIME I called your 800 number to reach the customer service, (5 times so far during the last two months) it took me (and I am not exaggerating) 25 minutes to get a hold of one of our customer service agent in order to have my questions answered. Today I spoke to one of your agent (Elisha or Alicia) that did not really seem to care about my issue. She was rude and just told me that there have been lots of customer calls during the last couple of months. She made me think that when customers are calling, they are bothering her more than anything. I am asking myself this question: Why there are so many customers calling Mediacom? May be Mediacom needs to offer a better service so customers would not be so busy calling, right? According to the customer agent, the earliest a technician can be sent to my home would be in 4 days. According to the customer agent, Mediacom cannot do better than that. Why does it take so long for to have a technician come to check my system at home? I am not a complainer by nature. However, the service you Mediacom are offering is very poor. I am sorry to say that. I will never recommend Mediacom to anybody, and I cannot wait to leave the apartment complex I am leaving in now, so I can also stop doing business with you. In my opinion, you have crossed the line in terms of respect for your customers. All you care about is to collect money every month from me and not really care about the service you are giving me in return for the money I pay you for that same service. Only one star because you cannot select 0! Worst customer service EVER!!! Just go duped into signing up for a package that includes TV, Internet and telephone. The tech hooked up the tv and left without checking to see if it worked and did not connect the phone. I had to spend and hour with customer service before I could get the cable to work, they told me the tech should have checked this before he left. Then I told them the phone didn't work so they had the tech call me back. He said I should be able to hook it up myself ( I thought I paid them for the service not DIY). I got home today and the phone does not work and customer service tells me they can have someone out by NEXT Tuesday (5 days). Mediacom stinks! read more
