I am not surprised by your rating of 1.5. I've been a customer for two years and have had multiple outages categorized as planned service event events that lasted up to seven hours, this didn't happen just once but multiple times. Talked to Customer Service for 45 minutes yesterday requesting a credit and today I got $8.45. You can bet I will be changing service as soon as provider is available. Your service doesn't support customers and your customer service could care less about customers. Give your $8.45 to charity because I don't want your money. read more

Absolutely horrible. Originally my bill was around $90 and they slowly started increasing the price, last bill was $379.88. Never have I added any services to my account since being a customer. Called today to cancel my account and when Nancy asked me why I was canceling my account I told her "because ya'll are almost charging me $400 for internet." She laughed and said in a condescending tone "on no, that's cable you're paying for." That's funny because I have never added cable to my account, I only signed up for internet. read more

Mediacom did not show up over the weekend to repair my property. Ended up paying to have my landscaper (30A Landscaping...the best!) come out and repair my sprinkler and yard. Anyone who does business with mediacom beware. Without fail, they are the worst. I had to give them a star in order for this review to be posted. They don't even deserve that. read more

Mediacom's technician went to my house at the request of my TENANT and without getting my (the HOMEOWNER) permission, they drilled a hole clean through the side of my house, through every layer of building material (hardie board, Tyvek, plywood, insulation, and sheetrock) and just stuck a cable through without an electrical box inside the wall and put a plate on the wall to "kind of" hold the cable in place. It is half way up my exterior wall, creating an eye sore. It has compromised the insulation. It's an eye sore and a danger and not to code to have the cable stuck in the inside wall without an electrical box. If they had called me for permission, I would have told them I already had a cable under the house in a crawl space. And I could have told them right where it was. I am still in shock at the damage they did. The irresponsible and idiotic technician who did this should be fired, and the company should have a class action law suit filled against them for the countless amounts of damage they have allowed and encouraged to all homeowners. One star rating is way too good for that kind of idiocy. Hey Mediacom, IT IS NOT OK TO DRILL A HOLE THROUGH A HOME WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE HOMEOWNER. I will never again get Mediacom. I would rather deal with slower internet speed from dial up than support such a terrible company with such terrible business practices. read more

Worst internet / cable provider around stay far far away. Stick to fiber internet mediacom still hasn't figured out outdated coax cable. Service technicians make a mess and are incompetent and customer service blows. Overall horrible value for your money! read more

If I could choose zero stars I would. We had Mediacom hook up cable 9 months ago and the signal still buffers and pauses. We have had at least a dozen techs come out and each one contradicts the last one. Why can't we just have good cable? read more

I have left multiple messages for Mr Pate with no response, Cheryl our manager has tired to talk to someone in our area multiple times and no response. Yesterday someone came by our Rv Resort, 30A Luxury Rv Resort in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, from mediacom and dropped 80 cable boxes off at our office and cut off our service throughout park for our customers violating our agreement to put them in park? We have had enough problems from the beginning with their construction team and damage they did to our park for this kind of nonsense to begin. First of all rvs aren't set up for cable boxes as to why mediacom did the cables at each site as they plug into a fitting on the outside of rv as tvs are usually mounted to walls no extra outlets as its internal, second of all the rvs come in and out anywhere from 1 day to a couple of weeks and leave at all times of mornings, day and night and mediacom would lose their boxes within a month or so. We need mediacom to come back out and pick their boxes back up and cut cable back on for our customers asap in morning please as this must be a mistake or someone not in touch with our agreement nor their customers needs. Very disappointing to not have any response from both mediacom nor its partners. Would appreciate y'all's help immediately. It's crazy we pay for 80 hook ups through out park and even when park is not full we still pay full price and they come out break our agreement and leave park without cable. read more

Absolute worst cable and internet! Ours works correctly about half the time. At a charge of $250 a month, this Mickey Mouse Company needs to get their act together. Three years of torture is too long to put up with so we're cancelling ASAP. I called to complain twice today, only to hear that my phone service must have gone down because they couldn't hear me. Yeah, right! So halfway through my calls, my phone stops working too, along with TV and Internet? Mediacom is a joke. read more

We have had multiple internet/cable accounts over our many moves. Mediacom/Extreme Santa Rosa Beach, FL is by far the absolute worst that we have used. From the internet service to the customer service..they are all garbage. Our internet was expensive and always sketchy..but we managed, until recently. We had a line cut on our property recently. We had no internet/cable connection at all. I called and explained this to a Mediacom representative. I was told that a tech would be at our property in 24 hrs to repair. No one showed. I called to report this and was told that a tech would be at our property the next day. Again, no one showed to repair. I called again and was told that the next available appointment for that repair would be 8 days away!! I then left multiple messages to have that tech call me BEFORE arrival. That day arrived and by mid afternoon no one had shown up, I called to ask when the tech would arrive. I was told that the tech arrived an hour previous to my call and left because there was no one at our property. THIS WAS A LIE. My contractor, electricians, plumbers and others were all there at our property..no one showed up. I have canceled all services as of today Mediacom/Extreme is absolute garbage..BUYER BEWARE! I wanted to leave ZERO stars, but that is not an option. read more

I have had buffering internet (every 5 - 10 minutes for 5 - 10 seconds) since November 9, 2021. NOTHING changed on my side from before November 9 to after November 9. No new equipment... NOTHING. I have called 1 - 2 times a week every week since then. I have had 5 different people come to my house. 1st guy worked on something outside that he said was outdated and said it should be fine. It wasn't. 2nd guy said the 1st guy did something wrong outside and "fixed" it and said it should be fine. It wasn't. 3rd guy said that he would call in a maintenance report for someone to work on the lines somewhere because these are apparently the only people that can call in a maintenance call, then told me that I should maybe baseline my modem since I use a mesh system. He then put in a CHARGE for this call (I called and had that removed). 4th guy agreed that it was a baseline thing and recommended that I call and have the customer service person baseline my modem. The customer service person I got said that was not a possibility because the modem HAS to bring internet in and send wifi out... there's no way to turn the wifi part off. Knowing that wasn't true, I went to the office in SRB to ask them to baseline my modem. After being yelled at because only 2 people are allowed in the waiting room, I got in and she said she couldn't do it, but she would have the supervisor do it. The next day, the 5th guy came (didn't know he was coming) and asked to reset my modem so that the baseline would work. I obliged and he said he didn't know if that would fix the buffering issue, but that at least the baseline was done. It is 2 days later and buffering is alive and kicking! I work from home as a trainer (hard to train people when you get kicked out of every meeting several times), and my senior daughter does online school (hard to take tests when you're kicked out of said tests). I have NO RECOURSE and you can't get a supervisor! They have to put in a request and one will call you back in 24 hours... "That's our process, ma'am". The service and the process both SUCK! I know it's nothing at my house because I have at least 2 friends that are having the same buffering issues, but because they don't work from home, it's annoying but doesn't really impact them as much! I pay $132/month (which is supposed to go up again in July) for the best internet service that Mediacom offers because I work from home, and the service SUCKS! The ONLY other service available is Centurylink and I've heard they are worse. read more
