Would have given no stars if that were an option. I understand this is a walk in urgent care and waiting is usually expected. But waiting for over an hour while other people are seen who have only been waiting 5 minutes is ridiculous. Especially when they aren't in any urgent need of care. Apparently micromanagement and communication is a HUGE issue here. I was told on the phone I was the next patient to be seen. Then some rude high school aged child pushed me away and told me to "get in your car". Seriously?!? I came here with an infection and a fever of 99.8 which apparently worsened while I had wasted over an hour and a half of my time for no reason. Thank god for the northwell urgent care further down the road. They even thought it was ridiculous and called it totally unprofessional. Stay away. I would rather go to the vet for medical advice or care. Hands down worst service I have ever experienced. read more

Christmas morning was given a rapid Covid test. Was assigned an appointment before closing and was told by attending physician that I would be notified by email if test was negative or by physician's phone call if test was positive. Never received any phone call or email..I am furious... called the office 3 times leaving messages with answering service. Had to scramble to find a friend that had a "home test"...very stressful Christmas Day due to inefficiency. read more

Receptionist wasn't the most pleasant. You have to fill out paperwork in your car (no clipboard given). Very slow even though nobody else in waiting room. I've been waiting over an hour and a half for my prescription to be sent over to pharmacy. I've had to call twice since leaving about my prescriptions. I have a cervical neck sprain and am suffering greatly. Hopefully I get my prescription sometime today. read more

This place is so unacceptable. We tried to get tested for COVID-19. The lady doctor tried to test on my deaf-blind mother. My mother has a anxiety disorder. The doctor was having problems with testing on my mother then she got pissed. She wanted me and my parents to leave the office just because my mom failed to have the test.The doctor threw the testing stick on the floor.. SO MEAN AND UNACCEPTABLE. Please do not come here. DON'T GO! My fiance went here last week and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, and was given antibiotics. Days go by and symptoms are getting worse. My brother happen to get the sickness, and went to the medi center for antibiotics. With the same exact symptoms, the doctor said she thought it was strep and gives the antibiotic, although the strep test takes days to get back from the lab. A few days go by and he's not getting better so he goes back there. The doctor says he believes he has MEASLES!!! HA. Incorrect diagnosis once again. Finally, he decides to go to his primary care for a second look. The primary care determined his actual diagnosis... which was more severe and correct medication needed to get better. I came here for a COVID test. The receptionist was really kind and very helpful. Not bad of a wait at all. Got called in within 15 minutes. The medical assistant Alex was super super sweet and very helpful as well. Then he moved me into a room to meet the doctor and she barged in didn't introduce herself and was very rude. She did the COVID test and then proceeded to walk out then I had a simple question about the procedure for getting my results and she interrupted me and said "this is drying up now" in a very annoyed tone not letting me ask anything. The rest of the staff was phenomenal, but the doctor was just rude for no reason. read more

As an uninsured person (I freelance) getting quality care is a struggle. I needed to be seen badly late today (it's a holiday weekend) and I, by a stroke of luck, found this place. Dr. Butera was amazing- he talked to me far longer than my PCP does during visits and prescribed me the medications I needed to fix the problem I'm having. The cost was *extremely* reasonable and the visit was fast and efficient. I wish more people without insurance knew they could have such great, reasonably priced care, even on a holiday weekend. Everyone there is so friendly and just really sweet. The Doctors are very professional and will spend as much time as you need with them. They are the only ones I trust when needing an opinion. I have gone there for about 20 years now and have never had a bad experience. I really recommend that you give them a chance! Plus they are open very long hours so its great. On a side note please remember they are a walk in clinic so do not write negative reviews if you had to wait a long time because you went during a prime time. read more

I came here for a COVID test and had an awful experience. First, the receptionist was nasty on the phone once I finally got through after getting busy signals for over an hour. I wrote it off as her being really overwhelmed with trying to get tested after the holidays. But then, when I finally got in to see a doctor, my older male doctor was extremely creepy towards me and told me to take off my mask and that I shouldn't wear a mask ever and "to avoid covering up my pretty face." I felt uncomfortable and unsafe (especially maskless in a small room) receiving this advice from a medical professional. With one sentence he was both a creepy man and an irresponsible doctor. read more

Had a problem with my hand which required x-ray, the Dr. was ok but the radiologist was the most unhappy, rudest person I've met in medicine. They gave me a bs prescription and sent me on my way. I'd avoid this place if you have concern you have a broken bone, the old man x ray tech is miserable. read more

I was very pleased by the quick in-take and paperwork process. The waiting area was clean and the staff was kind.

I went here last week as we are still relatively new to the area and don't have a primary care physician yet. I was prescribed antibiotic for a sinus infection. Although I notified the nurse and doctor that I was breastfeeding the doctor still prescribed an antibiotic that was unsafe for breastfeeding mothers. Thankfully cvs pharmacy caught it and was able to get ahold of the doctor to prescribe something different. Turns out the new antibiotic is in a family of antibiotics that I am allergic to! My allergies were clearly listed in my chart. Honestly, I'd avoid this place at all costs. The doctor barely looked at me and spent more time writing than examining me or talking to me. read more

Went because my partner was having a severe asthma attack right in the middle of the Coronavirus crisis and on a Sunday! He was seen immediately and the staff and the Doctor could not have been nicer or more professional. They were really great. read more

This place is the absolute worst. I had a fishing hook stuck in my hand, and needed it removed. Spending hours at huntington hospital wasn't an option, so we went to the MediCenter because it was the closest place. The two women at reception looked at my hand and asked me to sit and wait while my dad filled out paperwork. After 20 minutes passed, and they had moved away from the window to speak with one of the doctors, they called my dad over and told him that they couldn't help me, and I would have to go to elsewhere. Ideally this was information they could have provided as soon as we walked in.... Fortunately the amazing staff at Cure Urgent Care up the road admitted me within one minute of walking in the door, removed the hook, prescribed me pain management and antibiotics (which were filled on site!) and I was home within an hour. And it's a brand new facility with an awesome team....will never bother with the MediCenter ever again. read more

Patient complaining of chest pain for 2 days went to visit medicenter. the pain was not cardiac related. the pain was worse upon movement or touching (ie muscles or related structures) the dr gave 3 times the recommended aspirin dosage and 2 nitroglycerin tablets to the patient who had a normal blood pressure. no ekg was done. the patients blood pressure dropped so much that he went unconscious. the dr made a wrong diagnosis and subsequent wrong treatment plan. not only was the treatment plan incorrect, the medication dosages were well above the recommended amounts. horrible! read more

Very disappointed. They are very quick to make you pay for services but very slow to refund your money even though they were paid within 2 days by the healthcare provider. Very unprofessional when calling to ask about status. Rude and unprofessional. Hopefully CVS will get the minute clinics out here soon. read more

This was my first visit to an urgent care center. It was a Sunday so no chance of seeing my regular doctor. The staff is very friendly and I only had to wait five minutes. The doctor was great and was able to prescribe the medicine I needed. I would recommend this to others. read more

I am 58, had hip replacement surgery June 2019 with Dr Keith Reinhardt and my surgery was great, he's aces, probably one of the most solid orthopedic surgeons in Long Island. And he's a nice, polite gentleman. I stayed in one of the Brackett units at Southside hospital which is new, so it looks great. The nurses, nurses aides, PA etc all were professional and caring at their job. I couldn't move my leg and it was in a lot pain after surgery. Everyone did their job and were all there to help me. No need to go into Manhattan for top surgeons, this is Long Island. read more

I ran in at 4:30pm today. No patients were in the office. I have been to this location before and I produced my insurance card but they had trouble confirming my insurance. I offered a credit card for them to hold and charge if they could not confirm my insurance but they fefused. Apparently they were more interested in getting out and going home. If you need care, go to a place that gives a hoot because these people apparently do NOT!!! read more

I used to like going here. They were professional and efficient. I visited on Monday and was severely disappointed......The person who took my vitals and the doctor were both unkempt. The doctor came in wearing a pilled sweat shirt and never once was hands on. I visited because of a painful shoulder. I explained and he said go to your doctor, as I was in need of an MRI. For this I paid over a $100 co pay......I was looked at less than 5 minutes. Not the medical attention I came for or paid for....I wish I could get a refund. Unfortunate. read more

I brought my 94 year old friend to the MediCenter and saw Dr. Scully and he was wonderful. He listened to my friend patiently and explained his diagnosis to him in a very straight forward and thorough manor. It's been my experience that doctors don't have the patience to really listen to seniors and rarely take the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment. I was so thoroughly impressed with this doctor, the nurse Jeanette and Talar at the reception desk. Dr. Scully really helped my friend who had not been helped by previous visits to other physicians over a 3 year period. I would highly recommend Dr. Scully and the Northport MediCenter. read more

I have to agree with the reviewer below who was unhappy with the X-ray tech. I went because I had severe and incredibly painful neck spasms and my chiropractor said I needed a prescription for muscle relaxants. The angry old guy doing the X-rays had me standing up and holding weights in my hands(!) to get whatever x-ray he needed in spite of me howling in pain and telling him I couldn't take it. He didn't care one bit, and basically just told me to stand still, while he took his time. The guy was a miserable grouch, and extremely unprofessional. I would have walked out but I needed the prescription. I would avoid this place, ESPECIALLY if you need an x-ray. read more

This one star review is soley based on my last experience with Dr. Butera. My first time I was there was with Dr. Nickolas Muia, he is wonderful, has great bedside manner and got me healthy quick. He knew what was wrong with me. I didn't even have to send my sample that the nurse took out to the lab so he saved me money. But Dr Butera is another story. He made me cry, his bedside manner is horrid. He is the reason I will never be returning to this place. Nice job guy. I came in with a TMJ pain that I have been dealing with for over a month. I cannot eat I am stressed out I have other medical issues pressing which he knows about Bc it is all in my chart!!! And this "wonderful" doctor tells me I have an idiot brain and I should have gone to the dentist. I came to you for help, I paid (wasted) money and wasted over an hour to see. You can see I'm in horrible physical pain and emotional, it is written all over my face. And you have the audacity to talk to a patient like that. Don't see Dr. Debra Pincus, she ignored the recommended treatment that my regular Doctor recommended. I clearly explained what I needed-she refused to listen to what I had to say. Additionally she barely even looked at the problem I was complaining about. I would not go back. It is a waste of money and a waste of time. As a patient I believe doctors should have more of a concern with what was bothering me and she barely even looked at it. read more

I have just left this Medicenter. I usually go to the one on Jericho, which I love. The doctor I saw was smart and caring. The staff were wonderful. 10 minute wait which was great. I am very happy with the service and definitely recommend the Medicenter ! read more

Doctors Muia and Skully are such wonderful individuals and pay great attention to each patient. Their bedside manner is fantastic and the staff is very polite. I've been there about 10 times and each time they do a fantastic job! The wait at times may be a little long, BUT they actually take care of their patients, so it's worth the wait. read more

I immediately was sketched out by this place when I walked in and the waiting room was dirty and smelled of cigarettes. The receptionist ignored me for a while and when she finally did talk to me, she was sarcastic, condescending and unhelpful. She refused to take my insurance and tried to bill me hundreds of dollars upfront, even though I have no copay and no deductible and Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. She treated me like I was an idiot when I tried to explain why she was incorrect in trying to bill me upfront. I ultimately walked out without being seen because of her. I have been to so many other urgent cares that are new, CLEAN, and have helpful front desk staff. The last thing that someone who is ill wants to deal with is the trash at MediCenter. Drive a few miles further down 25a and you'll see a bunch of urgent cares that are much better options. I hope this place gets closed down soon. read more

The absolute worst if you have an urgent medical emergency. I have never been INSULTED by a doctor in my life before coming here. I went here on Sunday April 19th, 2015 with a severe headache and nausea that was making me cry it was so bad, as I had no relief for 12 hours on Sunday and several hours the night before. I had been experiencing this discomfort for 12 hours straight, and came here when it was clear my ibuprofen and Excedrin migraine medicine was NOT kicking in. I couldn't even fill out the waiting room paperwork - my mother had to do this for me as my nausea and head pain was THAT extreme. When I got into the office, the nurse told me that someone else had been there earlier in the day with the same symptoms and he was "on the floor." When the "doctor" came in he asked me what I had taken, I told him about the ibuprofen, the Excedrin, and how they were not helping after hours of taking them. He immediately told me there had to be something "more to it" than just nausea and head pain, since I was crying. And when I said I was crying because of the severity of the discomfort, he questioned why I didn't come sooner than after being awake with this pain for 12 hours. I told him I thought it was a bad migraine and I was waiting for the medicine to kick in - it is not my usual MO to go to urgent care or an ER with a migraine, that's a little much! Plus, I had never had a migraine and NOT had Excedrin take the pain and discomfort away. He asked to speak to my mother, who was sitting in the waiting room, who had driven me there because I was so nauseous. He proceeded to tell her he thought it was a mental issue or something else. I am a 37-yr-old woman. The more he questioned my integrity, the more agitated I became because I wanted my pain and suffering to be taken seriously and eliminated. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. My nausea had been made worse by the car ride and now he was not only insulting me as a patient but he basically refused to treat me. I was so agitated by his lack of bedside or any manner that I became weak, since my severe headache and nausea was made worse by the heat in the office, and the nurses had to help me to my mother's car. From there, my mother drove me to the emergency room, where I vomited in the car on the way there and in the waiting room and the hospital admitted me immediately for violent vomiting and took bloodwork, hooked me up to fluids and determined I had a severe virus. Once they gave me Zofran, an anti-nausea medicine, I immediately felt normal. I was on this medicine at home for the next 4 days. MEDICENTER IS A JOKE AND A DISGRACE TO URGENT CARE. read more
