I'm tired of their staff either double billing my parents, who are disabled senior citizens, or not explicitly stating when their doctors are out of network upfront. They seem to just charge you whatever they want and not ensure that there is full insurance coverage by Medicare and secondary insurance with minimal out-of-pocket costs for the patient. It's no wonder why they can't negotiate an agreement with some insurers due to what seems like a desire for more profit over ethical billing from a patient-centric perspective. I waste so much time tracking down billing issues that are neither transparent nor clear with breakdowns of the charges to help explain their fees. Patients and their caregivers shouldn't have to waste their precious time trying to resolve this if the billing was set up and executed properly to maximize effective use of everyone's time. Instead, they keep running an inefficient practice where there seems to be no sense of customer service, accountability, or patient-centricity. read more

Yikes! Sorry for all the negative reviews, but I've only had positive experiences when coming here. My PCP relocated to this Greenlawn office about 2 years ago. I've come here approximately four times over the course of that period to see her and another physician. The check-in process is quick and the receptionists have been lovely. The waiting room is spacious and I've never waited for more than 20 to see my doctors. There is plenty of parking but you might need to search for a space. I hope I don't jinx myself for my next visit, but I have no complaints other than I wish this office was a little closer to my house. read more

The set up at Mount Sinai Cuba Hill Road in Greenlawn portrays little real concern for the welfare of it's patients. The check in point for pediatrics is the same as cardiology. This means a visibly sick and actively coughing child and a vulnerable elderly patient will be standing together in close proximity as they wait their turn for assistance to check in. In addition there is no separation time wise or logistically for sick children and well children including vulnerable infants attending their first six week old checkup. Gastroenterology and Cardiology patients who are often elderly as well as vulnerable infants should not be carelessly subjected to contagious respiratory illnesses in a health care setting. read more

Trying to call and get a message to your doctor takes 30 minutes!! You can't speak to a person and IF you do, they don't even work in the office of the doctor you are trying to contact. They ask personal questions....uhmmm...what about HIPPA???? NO THANKS!! Go back to real people from the actual doctor's office, not some automated system, and then people who do not need to know my business! Ridiculous and very frustrating!! Stay away from this place. Front staff is terrible, and and not helpful. They constantly transfer the calls to the wrong department in an attempt to get you off the phone and each time you are transferred you are asked to verify your basic info. They have an online portal where you can email the doctor but they never respond. To obtain a basic script from the doctor's office, I had to make six or seven calls. I'm not sure what type of health care they can offer if the care is non existent on a basic call. read more

The office is terrible. My wife had an appointment for Jan 6 for eye exam. They called Dec 23 and cancelled. No appointments till March.

Most of the doctors I've seen here are very nice but this practice is run SO terribly. Even before covid, I would sometimes wait over an hour in the waiting room past my appointment time to be called and then one time I waited in the patient room for over an hour before the doctor came to see me. More recently, the receptionists/nurses who answer the phone seem to want to help patients, always promise me that a nurse or doctor will give me a call back, but twice I have received a call back over a week later. If you just need yearly checkups this place is fine but if you need anything further, you will feel like just a number. read more

When I finally saw them they were not able to treat me because follow up appointments was not possible to schedule so I still have issues not addressed and wasted half a year. Beyond frustrating! First I could not get hold of the office. Had to call twice. expl that my wife was has been deathly sick. I explained that I had her to the ER and was sent home and to follow up with my doctor. I called my doctor and they refused to see and I had to take her back to the ER. mount Sinai is the wors. The doctors are all very good and professional but the billing dept is inept. They will overcharge you copay's, lose your payments and threaten collection but never fix the problems. They are either extremely poorly run or practicing insurance fraud. I never thought i would need to leave my long term doctors because of a the billing dept. Also since they moved to the Cuba hill location the wait time AFTER YOUR APPT TIME averages 30 to 40 mins with few if any evening appointments available, so the working person beware. read more

I really like my doctors at Mt. Sina Greenlawn. However, the organization is run by the shoestrings. The billing for my last 2 urology appointments has been screwed up. My Medicare is, and as always been primary, and my other insurance is secondary. That was changed by Mt. Sinai Greenlawn. After many messages to them, billing indicated the system was recently changed. I asked them to fix this and also my wife's account. I was told that was done. I checked with billing again and they indicated that the bills did not get sent to Medicare and it would be investigated and corrected. It has been 40 days and there is no indication Medicare received my claims. My wife checked yesterday and found out her account was not fixed to make Medicare primary. I am now looking for another medical group that is not screwed up. read more

This is the worst medical group. First, I had two primary doctors leave the practice. Then, my endocrinologist left. I called to ask for a prescription for blood work and they told me she left and would be sending a letter. The soonest appointment I could get with another endocrinologist was nearly four months later. The provided me 90-day prescriptions, which wasn't enough. When I called for a refill (1 week in advance), they never put it through. Two weeks later I called for a different refill and, again, the prescription for blood work. They refused to provide the blood work prescription until after my visit. Why? I wasn't new to the practice. Why do I need a useless meet-and-greet with the new doctor. I asked to speak to the office manager/supervisor and they took my number and said someone would call. Of course, they did not. Avoid this medical group at all costs! read more

I have been with this Medical group for over 25 years. This month I cannot get my doctor to return a call or email. I need script refills and flu shot. While I have had excellent care from all the doctors and nurses at this group ( with Pediatrics being outstanding) - I may have to take our families care elsewhere. If you call this month - you get an answering service and no call back. If you message for refills through the MyChart app - you get no reply. I think perhaps the post- COVID model for this large practice has changed....but administrators have NOT implemented a workable plan. I wonder if everyone is quitting. It's too bad - we have about 6 doctors there we would be leaving. read more

This review is for the call center. I stupidly was a no-show for bloodwork in June and didn't remember to keep that appt. at all. I called this week, got Kim from Pediatrics who couldn't have been more concerned for me and helpful. (My lipid numbers from months ago were extremely high and I was a wreck about them.) She managed to get me an appointment in the lab the next day. She was so helpful and very comforting. The Greenlawn Center is the worst I've ever dealt with. They make you wait on the phone and never call you back and is waiting at the office as well. I was transferred to someone at the call enter the other day to get a much needed doctor's letter for court. The operator took all the info and was going to have it transcribed and left there so I could pick it up in a few hours. My husband went there at the time agreed, no letter was there for me. No one knew what I was talking about and that infuriated me since I needed that letter for a few days later and the doctor had left the building and going on vacation. I also get reminder calls for an apt by phone activation and sometimes the doctor, date and time are not on the message. Is this a game we are playing? Oh and forget about a call back from the doctor. That's not happening and you have to play 20 questions when asking for a refill. It's as if I am being scolded and I want them to sell them on the street. I know my call alone I'm will be way over an hour, for receipt of something I grow older just waiting on it. Absolutely unacceptable patient / dr communications. 91 year old father sustained accident which led to being placed on blood thinner for the clot that formed- given enough pills for three weeks. Called a week and a half prior to his having no pills left for a refill. THREE days later and NO answer from doctor! Called again and no answer! Despite "priority call back " which receptionist indicated. This is absolute negligence!!! A sorry state of affairs for a facility entrusted with saving lives. read more

I have brought my son to the pediatrics for over a decade. When they were at 775 Park Avenue, I had zero complaints! I was so happy with the level care and service! Then, they moved to Cuba Hill Road and got the call center. The doctors and staff in pediatrics are still great. However, the point of this review: Their new call center is horrible, to put it mildly. I cannot even think of a strong enough negative word, actually. Its been over a year so I gave them a chance to work out the kinks, as they called them. They were not successful. Hope you do not mind waiting a long time before someone picks up. Good luck getting in touch with a doctor during an urgent call because the call center does not want to put you through. Plan on calling when pediatrics is still open but the call center is not? You will not get through. Have a question for the nurse or your child's doctor? Thats not happening. I once had an important message for pediatrics and, hours later, no call back. I had their old fax number from Park Avenue so I sent a fax, hoping for the best. Fortunately, that old number forwarded and they received my fax. They returned the fax message but never got the other messages from the call center. What if I had not been near a fax? I have new insurance so I need to find a new PCP and briefly considered switching my PCP to Mt. Sinai Doctors -- then I remembered the call center and quickly dropped that idea. I completely dread it when my son needs the doctor because of the call center. They need to drop the call center and then they can get five star reviews again. (If, btw, they ever drop the call center OR a miracle happens and the call center is no longer a nightmare, I will update this review. I used to take my kids to Dr Prushik but he moved out of state. We loved him and the other doctors in this practice are good but ever since they moved to this new location I have noticed that there has been a change. There were 2 occasions where I called on the weekend after hours and was told the on call doctor would call me back. I never received a phone call either time and never received any follow-up. This is unacceptable and I am very likely going to switch our pediatrician to another group. So disappointing. read more

I have been going to this Medical Group for about 10 Year's. I was seeing 1 Internal medicine doctor for abou 5 Year's, she left Mount Sinai Medical Group for personal reasons. Started seeing another doctor for about a year then she left!!.. started seeing another doctor after the 2nd one and then she left. Mount sinai moved to 5 Cuba Hill and as they Grew & got Bigger they cared Less & Less about patients!!.. Started seeing a Cardiologist who i actually liked!! But going into the 2nd year w/ her she was unreachable!!. She had me go for Very Expensive Tests which i did, but a month plus i have heard NO RESULTS!. I have left Numerous messages for the Cardiologist to get back to me w/ NO Success!!.. Not Going Back to this Medical Group!!.. Everytime i call to even make an Appointment, I'm on Hold for a Minimum of 45 minutes to an Hour!!.. i live 10 minutes from the Group, one day i was on hold for an Hour. I Drove there while on hold, went inside & the receptionist said can i help you? I was STILL on hold!!!... THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!.. And Don't Recommend them At All!!!!!... read more

I'm 80 y.o. patient with international experience in medical doctors' services. This one I consider as the worst and unacceptable treatment of a patient. My immune system is severely compromised. This time when I felt very sick ( with symptoms like COVID-19 or Bronchitis) I needed immediate medical help. I called my primary care physician's office (Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island, 59 Southern Boulevard Nesconset, NY 11767) to make an appointment to be seen by Dr. Rosett. When receptionists asked about my symptoms they refused to make an appointment for a personal visit. In other words, they were willing to make an appointment only if I would be healthy. The only thing they offer was online communication with the doctor. I declined this offer because of what I consider it is a mockery they have turned their medical practice into. I went to City MD where I was accepted, an X-Ray was done, tests were taken, medications prescribed and I was diagnosed with severe bronchitis. Sorry to say, but I consider this medical practice as a disgrace for medical profession. My advise to everyone - avoid it. PS Communication via Patient portal is impaired, the attached data files in PDF or JPG formats can't be open by the doctor. read more

I don't know where to even begin! I'm from the Bronx and never would I have thought that an establishment like this would have such rude staff. I've been here at least four different times. This is the 1st yelp I've ever written. This last visit did it for me. Besides pretty much all around rude staff, rude doctor as well, long waits for appointments. This review is for Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island - located at 5 Cuba Hill Road, Greenlawn, NY 11740 (formerly known as North Shore Medical Group ). i have been using this group when they were North Shore Medical Group for 20 yrs. when they moved to their new facilities on cuba hill rd the administration of this off is the most incompetent i have ever seen in charge of any business. they couldn't run am candy store. try and get through with a phone call,try and get a script refill in any timely fashion,try and talk to someone in administration you will need hours waiting on the phone if you don't get cut off. some of the individual doctors are terrific but the support they get is atrocious.I recently tried to get a prescription refill and it took over a week. even worse they told me it was sent so i called the pharmacy and they said they never received it. they made the call with no response i wrote them a second time please refill my prescription. no answer so i call and the person on the phone said prescription was sent. not 10 minutes later the pharmacy calls and tells me they have no prescription. i finally emailed the doctor direct to his personal email and in a second he got it done and extremely apologetic. this incident is only the tip of the ice berg with me and friends who use this group. if you want to do some research see how many great physicians have left in the past two years. remember BUYER BEWARE. Dr Tloczkowski is currently using telemedicine. He called on time and I felt we had a very productive conversation. I was telling him during the height of Covid-19, my internist through his nurse told me to go to Northwell at Plainview's emergency room. For a blood work up. had 2 symptoms extreme fatigue & diarrhea. They are 2 of the symptoms of Covid-19. I told the nurse that I was extremely fearful of going to a hospital. It ended up with me going to my gastroenterologist who sent me one floor above her office for the blood work & thankfully every thing turned out okay. Upon hearing this, Dr Tloczkowski asked me if I was okay with Able lab coming to my home to take blood work. I was thrilled. He was to have a thyroid scan & bone density done at the Mount Sinai Doctors Greenlawn. Reading me correctly, Dr. Tloczkowski said he would put off those tests. He is an outstanding doctor & sensitive to his patients' fears & anxieties. The doctor nailed telemedicine. I will be looking for a new internist but will be holding tightly on to Dr. Tloczkowski. read more

Although we absolutely adore our children's pediatrician Dr. Anne Conrad, the new facility in Greenlaw is a corporate nightmare. The call center (as every other reviewer has mentioned) could not be a more frustrating process. I have called the center where they don't even recognize the doctor I am asking for and the process to actually be directed to the proper place feels like calling the cable company. My child had an allergic reaction emergency and the call center told me there was "no possible way" to get a hold of my doctor...not in the moment that night OR the next day during regular business hours. Unbelievable. We are now switching to a different allergy practice. read more

If I could I would put a negative 5! Doctors are unreachable even in an emergency; even if you had that same doctor 40 years! Patients are forced to walk-in in lieu of being placed on hold by call center til eternity. Even if you work there and call in you will be recycled through the call center until the end of time! Nurses are for the most part caring, as are the doctors. However, management has NO CLUE how to run this monstrosity of grandeur they have created. Last appointment I witnessed management be openly abusive to staff and the doctors. Facility is built like a prison! All that should matter is the patients well being but instead all that matters is $$$ and covering their behinds. There are some really great doctors here but there is total mismanagement due to inexperienced and unqualified upper management. The call center obviously has no healthcare training and a customer service skill set that is apprehensible! There is no skill set! FYI - call center reps should not be assessing patients health needs period; only nurses and doctors should! Do you really want to tell a call center rep your detailed health history? This review is for the group in general at their new location on Cuba Hill Road. The doctors I have gone to are wonderful. My family has been going to many of these doctors for 15 years through two location changes and I absolutely loved them and the service was top notch. You used to be able to call and wait to ask a question of a pediatric nurse for your kids and scheduling always worked with you and recognized our name. Now there is an answering service which is frequently impatient and rude. If you have a special issue where you must speak to someone in the office as opposed to the switch board - good luck! I explained several times about a significant issue and asked to be transferred - they made a note and refused to even try to accommodate me. I had to go in to the office - the people there were great and apologized and quickly fixed the issue. I had an issue with a medication renewal and the lady on the switchboard acted as though I was telling a fib about a medication I needed a refill on. Turns out the drugstore called it in, not me but it doesn't matter... The attitude and lack of helpfulness is the issue. read more

If I could give them a "0" I would. I took my son to see his doctor today when he complained of severe ear pain as soon as he got off his school bus. I drove him to the office right away, and we were REFUSED CARE because I had failed to call them en route! I took him to a clinic and was told he would have suffered a ruptured ear drum if he hadn't received care urgently. I am beyond furious. Completely irresponsible. read more
