Halibut and Shrimp & Chips. Shared with hubby.

This is our go-to place for homestyle breakfast. The food is always delicious - whether you dine for breakfast or lunch. For breakfast, the omelettes are made with 4 eggs and are big enough to share. You can sub fresh fruit for hash browns (but they are so good!) I love the eggs Benedict, made with two eggs, Canadian bacon on English muffins, topped with delicious hollandaise sauce. The pancakes are huge and fluffy - but I don't order them only because they are served with really crappy generic food service fake maple-flavored syrup. If you're going to make epic pancakes, then pleeeeze serve them with real maple syrup!! An option for a berry syrup would also be nice - just don't serve that God-awful fake stuff! Lunches here are also great, especially the fried shrimp and fish & chips. The restaurant is ow Ed by the Nisqually tribe, so the fish is always fresh and tasty. They also make hand-dipped milkshakes. The service is always friendly and attentive, but it can take awhile of the place is crowded. However, the servers are always hustling to get orders out as soon as possible. This is your basic diner, clean, and not outdated. They recently removed the awful booth seats and replaced them with 4-top tables - a nice improvement. I'm always happy to spend my money on tribal-owned businesses, too!

Great food! Great service! Very Busy! Worth the wait for a table on those really crazy days which happen a lot. Understandably so as the food here is delicious. We met up and put in our number for a table. In about 5 minutes we received a text saying come on in. Packed as usual but the friendly staff and joe made it ok. We ordered a variety of food (grilled cheese, pancakes, omelet, burger etc.). We did have a wait but not as long as many places for the number of people who came just ahead of us. Well worth it as the food was served hot and was delicious- no mistakes to send back. We love this place and my apologies to them for taking so long to review again, I blame the great food as I get there and can only think of eating. Service: great Cleanliness: above average Beverages: Coke products, tea, coffee, juice Restrooms: clean, but small MyFitnessPal: No but easy to put together for most items

Solid breakfast and that is NOT my favorite meal. The restaurant looks like it was built in an old drive in fast food joint, the covered parking area gives it away. Had the breakfast and it was so,I'd. The home made corned beef was tender and not the tough stringy kind that gets stuck in your teeth for the rest of the day. Flavor was good and it looked like green and red peppers were mixed in. It was unusual in that there was not potatoes in the hash, instead there was a side of hash browns, which worked. Eggs were done just right, over easy with nice runny yolk. The biscuit though was what stole my heart, well at least added to my cholesterol. A fluffy biscuit that as split and toasted with butter on probably the flat grill. Crunchy and fluffy it needed none of the side of butter that came with it. Overall a very satisfying breakfast.

We came to Medicine Creek cafe as a party of 2 on Sunday at 11:00 AM. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table, but they took our phone number and they sent us a text when they were ready for us. While we waited for our food, we were admiring all of the tribal art they had on display. It was lively and comfortable environment. The only thing they need to improve is the floor to the bathrooms-a little slippery, but nothing a rug couldn't fix. I ordered the classic for breakfast-it was simple, hearty and good. This is a dependable spot for a nice and fast bite to eat!

    CFS. A preformed patty. Meh

Nisqually. Second time here I like the people but the food quality is slipping. I wasn't a fan of the CFS because it was a preformed patty and the gravy came from a can.

Convenient little breakfast diner off I5. Has a truck stop kind of vibe, not very quiet as it was super busy on a Saturday morning. Friendly, prompt service and hearty portions. Prices are low to moderate depending on what you get, but my husband and I both took home leftovers. I highly recommend the Mt Rainier breakfast which is hash browns on bottom, biscuits in the middle, topped with sausage gravy and 2 eggs any style. I added bacon and it was the ultimate breakfast!

Love this restaurant. Liked the staff. Food was awesome. Location was amazing. Will definitely be back. Love being surprised when dining at a new restaurant. Price of food and drink was the most beautiful thing. Please go eat here if you are ever in the area. I wasn't let down and so won't you. Restaurant is a once a week place to eat.

Decided to go check this place out today. They are open for dine in with masking and social distancing efforts in place. The waitress was nice...friendly and courteous. They offer a military and senior discount. You can also sign up on-line for extra perks, such as a free beverage. The lunch menu consists of burger, sandwiches, salads and fish n chips. I opted for the Billy Frank Jr Double cheeseburger and I must say that it was pretty good. A little messy--which usually is a good sign! My son got the bacon cheeseburger and was like wow! I should have got a kids meal. He never says that, lol. We also had fried pickles...which we good too. Prices are fair since food is of good quality and decent portions. I do wish that you could sub sides without incurring an extra charge and a side salad would be a good option for those that would like a lighter side but enjoy a good burger every now and again. I would love for them to expand their menu in the future or maybe eventually have dinner options. We will probably return in the future. Great job guys!

    Billy Frank Double..... delicious
    Jeremy V.

The Billy Frank double reigns supreme, a few years ago I tried this burger and I thought it was the best in the area..... a bad economy and inflation can not take this burger down, they have stayed true to their recipe and quality remains, Ive tried many burgers but this remains IMO the best of the best..... comes with fries and a delicious fry sauce...... this place has also won a couple "best of" awards.... Restaurant staff has always been kind and attentive. It very much has a diner feel to it.......You have to try and see for yourself....

What a find! I don't know what I expected - something more cookie cutter perhaps because it's near the highway and also close to Nisqually nature park. Instead, we got treated to an incredible homey locally ambience which also celebrated the Nisqually people, including veterans, with amazing art everywhere (LOVE the Seahawks one done in PNW style). This is a sit down down home no frills yet all inclusive diner. Our friends both got the eggs benedict, which they described as "exactly what you are imagining in your head when you are craving eggs benedict." My husband got a breakfast sampler and only complained that the bacon was a bit overcooked. I was thoroughly pleased with a veggie burger + avocado and tater tots - I was floored that this tucked away spot had veggie burgers at all - hello, Panera didn't even have gluten free bread the last time I checked - and the strawberry on top of all of this was that they had a personalized shake list. Holy moly. Shakes were mandatory all around. How often do you get to choose your flavor and mix and match? How often does the shake machine even work at those "other" places (never)? So happy with this cafe. Thank you for all you do. Keep doing it!

We have traveled from Az all the way to ND and back. We have experienced pretty good diner food to omg! We should have stopped at McDonald's instead. But this little gem was a diamond in the rough find! We good smell the delicious aroma of bacon and butter potatoes when we arrived. Our server Heather was amazing! All the ladies who work there are fantastic but we were really happy to have her, she got everything we ordered correct. The hash browns were buttery & crispy, the bacon was perfect! Crisp & not too salty. The pancakes were fluffy, texture just right! Normally pancakes hurt my stomach but these bad boys I ate up! Without any tummy problems, so happy :0) The waffle was cooked light golden brown, just the way we like it. The ham was amazing, perfect sear and the steak was cooked great. The French toast was cooked all the way through and had offered yummy flavor. The restaurant was tiny but very clean, tables were kept apart, masked required if not vaccinated for staff & guest. Overall our 1st experience was a delight and we hope to return again. Sorry no pictures this time, we drove right into our meals when they arrived. As always support your community where you find it and stay safe out there!

Apparently their first visit was so good that my husband kept insisting we needed to come back together because he was convinced I would love it. He was right lol. We came on a Friday morning around 11am and this place was PACKED. The parking lot was full and there were so many people inside that I was expecting us to have to wait awhile, especially since we were a party of 7. Thankfully, they actually had a table available and seated us pretty quickly in a corner. My only complaint is that it does feel pretty cramped inside. There are a lot of back-to-back booths and tables close together, and some of the walkways are really narrow. I'm personally not a huge fan of the space, but everything else about our experience made up for it. Our server was really friendly and attentive, especially considering how busy they were. All of our orders and requests came out correct, and she still stopped by to check on us in a timely manner. We never felt forgotten even though she was clearly busy. We ordered a basket of fries for everyone to share while waiting for our food and OMG THE RANCH. We don't know what they do to their ranch here but it was SO GOOD. You have to try it!! Everyone at the table agreed that their food was delicious. Ironically, I didn't even order breakfast lol. I got the fish & chips and they were spectacular! The batter was nice and crispy while the fish inside was perfectly flaky. The tartar sauce was really good with it too. And the portions are HUGE. I couldn't even finish mine and ended up taking the rest home to eat for dinner later, so I basically got two meals out of it. It was super filling and satisfying and still tasted amazing later after throwing in the air fryer. The prices seemed pretty fair too, especially considering how much food you get. I definitely don't mind paying when I'm getting a portion big enough to become another meal later. So yeah... my husband was right and I'm glad he made me come here! Good food, huge portions, friendly service even when they're slammed, fair prices, and ranch that I would genuinely come back for. I think Martin Way Diner is officially our new go-to breakfast place now. Next time I'll actually order breakfast haha.

When we first walked in, it felt like a classic diner. And it is! In all the good ways. The diner is clean, the coffee is hot and flavorful, and the portions are generous. My husband had the Build Your Own omelet, topped with Jack Cheese. And they did not skimp on the ingredients. The cheese was nice and gooey, and the flavors melded perfectly. I had the French Toast. Again, generous portions, and the slices were thick and perfectly battered. Not soggy, slightly crisp. And the syrup was warmed! Sometimes it is the little things. The bacon was crisp, just how I had ordered it, not limp, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Our server was Shawna, and she was personable and perfectly attentive. We were seated where we could observe the cooks, and they functioned like a well-oiled machine. All in all it was a good experience, and I would highly recommend. An added bonus: there are glass partitions between the booths. It really helps keep the noise level down. This was much appreciated and I wish more restaurants would do this. The next time we are at this end of town, we will be back.

GETTING THERE At first, we didn't realize this place is inside of a Toyota dealership. It's maybe about 5 min from the I-5 exit. It's extremely easy to get to and easy to find. Literally find the dealership with 100 Toyota cars and trucks parked outside haha PARKING Parking availability is just like any dealership. There wasn't a designated spot for the restaurant, but there was a huge gravel/dirt lot just on the outskirts of the main lot. We parked there since we had a trailer with a car on it. Its maybe about a minute walk to the main building where the restaurant was at. AMBIANCE/SERVICE It was 4th of July and the front had maybe 8-10 salesmen all lined up to greet customers. It was a little intimidating when we walked up since we weren't looking to buy a car, but the one closest to us understood we weren't interested and he helped direct us to the restaurant. Not much for ambiance. It is just like any other dealership. No special decor. Just a few lounge chairs, massage chairs, TV, and a brand new 2026 Toyota Tacoma parked next to the dining area for you to look at. The counter where you order at is fairly small. You just walk up, order, they give you a number, then you just grab a seat somewhere. There have limited seating near the counter, but you can opt out to sit at the tables by the front window where the display vehicles are. The staff was friendly and the food didn't take long to arrive. FOOD I ordered the breakfast pizza. I've had breakfast pizzas before, but this one is a little different. It comes with a biscuit crust instead of a typical pizza dough. Then it's topped with normal breakfast toppings like bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, and 2 fried eggs. The eggs aren't scrambled and mixed into all the fixings like others I've had, but I didn't mind this. This also had sausage gravy which I don't typically see on a breakfast pizza, but I enjoyed it. The gravy and the eggs helped balance out the saltiness of everything else. I enjoyed this version of a breakfast pizza with the biscuit crust, but it was a little too heavy for one person. I ended up sharing about half of it. I can definitely finish it, but I won't be moving for a while. The coffee was pretty standard. I also wasn't wanting anything too fancy, so it was exactly what I needed. OVERALL I enjoyed this place and I would come back. At the time, I didn't realize it was the same business as the location in Lakewood, which I've ordered from in the past on DoorDash. I've been meaning to check it out in person. But despite it being in a dealership, I'd say this place is still a good place to check out if you need a quick stop off the freeway.

He also ordered country gravy on his hashbrowns. The omelets also include a fresh baked biscuit. If you are not up for a full breakfast, they also have a lighter-side menu, or delicious scones. Standard drip coffee or hot tea are complimentary. Over the years they have become quite popular, keeping busy not only with Toyota employees and customers, but also locals and you will see food delivery drivers picking up to-go orders. Usually our meal arrives in a timely manner (in fact, our typical comment is 'oh wow! That was quick!) but today it took 40 minutes to get our food. It was a Monday morning, order was placed at 10:32 and delivered to the table at 11:12.

Now I was influenced by all the tik tok videos I'd seen of this place.i thought ooo this place looks good! I wasn't prepared. Not at all. My husband and I went around10:30 on a Friday and checked in at the front, signed our name up and waited for maybe 3 minutes. Got seated very very fast and started spying on the tables around us, you know " a fact finding mission" Need to see what others are ordering and saying. They have a large menu and a really good variety of breakfast and sides as well. This was great for me because I wanted a waffle. A big waffle with butter and syrup.... Plus to try something more adventurous. They brought us out a sweet cornbread with I think Marion Berry butter. So so good. I ordered the Beechers brisket hash and the side waffle. Chris ordered the strawberry agave mimosa and the BBB. Food came out within 10 minutes and was hot and smelled Devine. Look at the photos. I mean, what else needs to be said? Everything, every single thing was phenomenal. There was no weak dish. Hashbrowns were cooked to perfection, brisket melted in your mouth. The hollandaise sauce plentiful and delicious. The waffle was huge. They actually asked how I wanted my eggs and listened! Best over hard eggs! I love that the syrup is on the table because I covered that waffle in syrup and when they give you those little mini things of syrup it kills the vibe. So River of delicious maple syrup aplenty, I do appreciate the little containers of butter as I can't be trusted with butter and waffles I'd have gained 20 pounds from the butter alone. Smart guys very smart. Our sever was fantastic, they were busy busy but he took the time to listen to us try to express how impressed we were. We were mid food coma at this point. I don't think we were forming words, just excited food nosies. Now, the 3 pound cinnamon roll. We took this bad boy to go. My husband is big on cinnamon rolls and considers himself essentially an all knowing cinnamon bun being. 10/10 they are sweet fluffy and smothered in frosting. ( I am unfortunately allergic to cinnamon but he assures me it was the best) Prices, honestly I thought it was going to be way more expensive. The plating of the food alone looks expensive. The food was so good I forgot we did eventually have to pay the check. But when it came my flabbers were gasted. $60 for 2 very large breakfasts, a side waffle that wasn't a side at all it was huge Belgium waffle a mimosa and the 3pound $14 by itself fyi cinnamon roll. We took probably half our food home and had dinner and breakfast the next day. It was tons of food. I even joked to my Husband that I might not leave this review because I don't wanna make it busier than it is so we could keep it quiet so we could come back all the time. This place is worth waiting for. It will be a regular stop for us moving forward. If you are reading this, do yourself a favor and just go just go and experience it for yourself.
