This review is NOT about the medical abilities of this practice... they may well be competent or…read moreeven wonderful. But their BILLING practices are not competent. In my opinion, their billing is an intentional effort to obtain payments that they are not entitled to. My brother in law is elderly, and I pay his medical bills. I've noticed in the past that whenever he saw Cardiology Associates of Somerset, I would pay the bill. And then the following month, they would send yet ANOTHER bill for the same visit. And I would type up a letter, saying this bill was already paid, including the check number and the date I paid it. Well, this past December was a little chaotic. The holiday season can be like that. So when they billed for a September visit in December, I foolishly paid the bill without checking my records. Last week, I got another bill for that September date of service, checked the records, and found that I had already paid for that visit TWICE: once in November, and once in December. Now, it's possible that the bill they sent on January 7 was too soon for them to have recorded the December 17 payment... but the November 15th payment was definitely received and should have been recorded well before the January 7 bill was issued. So this office intentionally double and triple bills elderly patients, hoping that they will pay the bill multiple times. It's a rip-off, and it's wrong. Be aware of it, and think about seeing a cardiologist who bills legitimately rather than Cardiology Associates of Somerset. ------ They did it again... I paid a bill for a January visit in February... and they billed for it a second time in March, 3 weeks after the check I had already sent them for that visit had cleared. I am convinced, more than ever, that the double and triple billing of elderly customers is intentional. ----- And then on April 8, they sent a bill that included the charge for the 1/7 visit (the one I paid on 2/21 with a check that cleared on 3/11)... but this time WITHOUT mentioning the date of the 1/7 visit. I guess they were hoping I would pay it again this time, since there was no indication of the date... This is intentional, and WRONG!

The Princeton Medical Group urgently needs to confront the reality that its current staffing and…read morepatient‑care model is not keeping pace with the demands of flu and RSV season. What happened to me is not an isolated inconvenience -- it reflects a deeper, structural problem that puts patients at risk, especially those with complex medical circumstances or limited treatment options. Day before yesterday, while acutely ill with an undiagnosed respiratory infection, I sought care at their office. The physician began the diagnostic process with rapid strep and flu testing, but did not perform a 24‑hour strep culture -- a standard step when symptoms are severe or persistent. Since that visit, I have been battling a 104‑degree fever with no relief, and because I cannot take anything stronger than Tylenol, timely follow‑up care is not optional for me; it is essential. Yesterday, I contacted the office repeatedly to express worsening symptoms, discuss the need for retesting, and request guidance. Despite the seriousness of the situation -- including the fact that I live with an immunocompromised family member awaiting a kidney transplant -- the practice was unable to accommodate any follow‑up evaluation. Not a same‑day appointment. Repeated nurse callbacks happened with no solid plan of action. This is not acceptable patient care. When a medical practice cannot respond to urgent concerns during peak illness season, patients are left with two unacceptable choices: suffer at home without adequate support or seek emergency care for issues that should be manageable in an outpatient setting. Neither outcome reflects a functioning primary‑care system. Princeton Medical Group must take responsibility for addressing these gaps. That means proactively recruiting additional nursing staff and primary care physicians, expanding triage capacity, and ensuring that high‑risk patients are not left without guidance or access to care. Flu and RSV surges are predictable. Patient abandonment should not be. My experience underscores a broader truth: the community deserves a medical practice that is prepared, responsive, and capable of delivering safe, timely care -- not one that leaves patients stranded when they need help most. Get your act together!
