Chicken Kabob platter with hummus and falafel
Cassandra M.

Lunch buddy adventure! Just another great lunch off the beaten path. Great service, great food. It is a grocery store / eatery so don't be shocked by proximity of food tables to the grocery shelves. By pass the fast food places nearby and come here.

The grocery store
Jina P.

It's a grocery store/ bakery. They have a wide variety of pastries, sides (grape leaves) , fresh sauces/dips (hummus, tahini, garlic ) to shop from. Parking is convenient. We ended up getting the plates of chicken shawarma & kabob, and falafel sandwich. Keep in mind, this was at their closing time. They close at 4 on Sunday. The food lacked flavor and the meat was a bit dry. Hummus was fresh and tasted good. The pita was thin and pretty fresh. This place seems much more authentic than most but we were not a fan of the food. We ended up buying a pack of whole wheat pita breads. It seems like a family business and the staff was nice. The place was fairly clean and tidy.

Roughly 9 years ago I came to this spot to get some shawarma. Back then I gave a 4 star review assuming something could go amiss. Needless to say after all these years this place does NOT disappoint. I had a lovely shawarma plate and watched about a dozen people of all races, genders, creeds etc order their food without one look of disappointment. This place is a staple of the Atlanta proper community and wish it never changes and serves the community to its best. Love this place.

Lemon Mint/ Peach Carbonated Drink

Authentic, fresh & delicious. Perfect way to describe Mediterranean Bakery & Sandwich. I stepped in with no expectation and left feeling fulfilled! I started out with the chicken kabob platter, which included two side's additional from the rice and slaw that the meal is served with. I opted for the taboi salad and fries. I also ordered the lemon mint carbonated and peach drink. I truly enjoyed the lemon mint, so refreshing I had to purchase some to take home. Additionally, the restaurant ambiance took me away with its authenticity that matched the friendly customer service. I'm glad I found this local gem! If you're in the Chamblee area, definitely give this place a try!

Chicken Shawarma plate with Falafel & Greek salad. +Spinach & feta pie.

Enjoyed authentic Mediterranean food! It was my first time coming in person, but I knew it'd be good because I've had it at a catered event. The atmosphere makes you feel at home, as a lot of natives frequent the establishment AND half is a grocery store where people shoo for household staples. The cashier is where you both check out your groceries and order food. The service was fast and friendly! I got the chicken shawarma plate, which came with two sides. I got it with falafel and a Greek salad as my sides (~$15). I also got a spinach and feta pie (~$2). The plate came with a garlic sauce that rivals any other I've tasted. Everything I ordered was flavorful and delicious!! Will absolutely be back.

Love this restaurant and my husband love it also. But I want there with my friend Lisa. I forgot about this place long time didn't visit. Shame on me! I used to worked close to this place. Now I am sure I will visit again and again The people who work there are friendly Great job with the food

Uncooked

I had high expectations for this place, but the falafel was uncooked and the shawarma was not good.

Mediterranean Bakery is good restaurant and "grocery store". Lots of goodies here. Today only used the restaurant part. You order at the counter and they give you a number to pick up your food. Reasonable menu of Mediterranean food. My order was the beef shawarma plate. It comes with choice of 2 sides, my choices were tabbouleh salad and humus as recommended by the counter staff. It was really good. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and since it was a nice day choose to sit outside. Prices seem high here ~$17 with tax, and that was before a drink and tip. Brisk efficient business. Conveniently located near spaghetti junction with lots of free parking in large shopping area.

Went to this location for the first time today. Ordered the Beef Shawarma sandwich and grabbed a bag of Bruschette chips. Both were delicious and the customer service was awesome

I enjoy the food from this establishment. I am from Michigan where they have a very heavy Mediterranean population in Detroit area. I haven't found a lot of that here but this place does do something for me. You will come in and it'll be the left hand side of it is a market. You can buy all so some things, they even have a section for hookah. And that's a vast hookah selection. On the right hand side you'll have the area where they have the carry out restaurant. There's a full station to where you can order food from and they have it on the heater so you can see a shaved right in front of you. The chicken shawarma in the chicken kabob sandwiches are really good. If you order the plate you can get the meat with two sides. I've had the French fries, but I feel like french fries are pretty much standard. I also had the hummus. The hummus was really good! They give you some pita bread to dip it in and it is actually great. It's usually not that busy , in the parking lot is in a mini mart or strip mall so there's plenty of parking. The only reason not in gave it five stars was because the last time I went I basically still there and nobody really greeted me. I'm big on customer service. I'm here to spend money. So I shouldn't have to stand there and wait if you to acknowledge me. But after we got going, it was a good experience.

Chicken Shawarma Sandwich/Wrap and Fries.
Hax A.

Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because the chicken was just a tad bit dry and the fries weren't seasoned but I have been searching high and low for some AUTHENTIC chicken shawarma. Everything about their shawarma wrap/sandwich is delicious. Even the pickles are authentic and not just vlasic pickles thrown on there. I bit into a piece of heaven and Dubai memories. YUM! I will definitely be back! I ordered: Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, add hummus and hot sauce (just say make it spicy) and fries.

Very classic retro style place. The smell the decor very nostalgic of the 90s. Your local fast food doesn't even come close. Neither of the sandwiches had cheese, that I specifically added and paid additional. Upon calling to inform that neither of my sandwiches had cheese, not knowing what was the condition of the sandwiches and salads I dropped off at the dog groomers, I was met with "you can come back if you want for another sandwich". Ummmm..... try listening to the consumer. Credit them back the extra they payed that they didn't get. I even tipped $20 cash for just over $100 tab. I'm not driving 45 minutes for a sandwich that could have just been solved with a simple credit back, but sadly, this management is not capable of doing such a simple task. Very poor service and will not patron this establishment going forward. Shameful service.

While my review itself is a bit late, I do think about this place often because of how good the food was. I haven't had pepitos before, but this made an amazing introduction for me! From the outside, it looked like the rest of the plaza and didn't stand out much. Stepping in, it was surprisingly pretty cool and a bit modern with the lighting and walls. It was clean too. I would recommend getting a pepitos over the burger, though both are great. It's just easier to put away the rest for later because of how filling eating just half is. The fries were crispy and good for trying out all the sauces. And the sauces? Love the variety. The bacon sauce truly tastes like bacon and has bits of it in it. Corn is probably made with sweet corn, and it was creamy. Love the garlic. The honey mustard was good too. Cheese confuses me. It wasn't a cheese flavor I am more familiar with, and it wasn't like the cheese used in the meal. I didn't dislike it, but I also did mix sauces together, and I liked it better once mixed with something else. Garlic still is just great overall though. We ended with churros, which were pretty good. They drizzle lots of chocolate, caramel, and condensed milk over them, and while I felt guilty after eating so much food, I loved every moment. They give quite a bit, and we couldn't finish them all. Great dessert for sharing, and another draw to this place if you don't want a full meal, though I highly recommend getting food as well.

Pardon my French, but... Holy sh*t!…read more I was craving Venezuelan food... and a burger... so I decided to combine the cravings. Normally, when I get Venezuelan food, I'm too drawn to the arepas, empanadas, and cachapas to get something like a burger. I've seen several Venezuelan restaurants with burger options I've wanted to try, but like I said, normally, I go traditional. However, today was the day I decided to finally do it! I opened up UberEats and... what is that? A Teque Burger? Could it be??? Yes! The "bun" is tequeños! Immediately, I knew I had to order one of these. I went with no bacon today and chose cheese sauce as well as house sauce. The description didn't say whether or not it came with fries, so when I saw the temptingly priced $2.99 french fry option, I threw them in my cart. I can't speak on ambiance because I ordered UberEats, but service was quick to pack up my order. My food arrived hot and fresh, just minutes after I made it home from the gym! Perfect. The verdict? As you can tell by the excitement of my review: a huge success! The Teque Burger was grilled to perfection. The tequeno bun was mind blowing. The whole thing was absolutely delicious. I cut my burger in half to save the other half for later. As I ate my burger and devoured the meat, there was still tequeño bun overhang for me to dip into the sauces. They gave me ample garlic sauces which was yummy (always one of my favorites), as well as an orange sauce that I couldn't quite place whether it was house sauce, cheese sauce (it didn't taste like cheese), or their "special ketchup sauce" (is this the same as house sauce? Or is house sauce the garlic sauce? Or is it its own thing? So many questions!). Whatever it was was great. The fries were delicious too! Can't wait to try the pepitos next! I'll be bringing my boyfriend in soon (he's from Venezuela), but he may only be able to eat fries because he doesn't eat meat. Hopefully you get some vegetarian or seafood options in soon... or perhaps I missed them. ¡Muchas gracias!

What's not to love about Henri's?…read more I originally patronized the bucket location due to its close proximity to work. It's at a very busy intersection with oddly placed entrances. But patrons make it work, and the quality keeps people coming regardless of how crazy the parking gets. I learned recently that Henri's is quite an Atlanta institution, and has been around for a loooong time. But I understand why. The service is great, regardless of location. The baristas actually like to talk to you even during the morning hustle. They are well-staffed and you can tell their employees like working there. Sharon is awesome, and the guy who mans the sandwich station is REALLY good at his job. The inside is kept clean, and it's a really calming environment for a coffee shop. Whoever designed their cafes did a great job, as the theme is consistent in their sister locations. I really have no complaints about the food. The meat is fresh. The bread is fresh. They make many of their bakery items at an HQ and locally distribute them to their sister locations. The pastry section is well-appointed and the display makes them very tempting. The Reuben with pastrami is *CHEF'S KISS*. Just make sure you get it on a more durable bread, because the sauce can get a little messy and make the sandwich soggy. I'm sad to report that they do not serve matcha here yet. But the chai latte and standard latte was delicious with a nice, thick layer of foam on top. They even have sugar-free syrup options for people looking to curb the sugar. They do have high-chairs for the babies. Love this place. They just do it right.

I see some entries for food trucks with over a thousand reviews, but I once had a review removed because Yelp said they don't allow food truck reviews. I checked and didn't see any people reviewing them at their traditional 'stops,' so I figured it wouldn't be appropriate to post my review under Schoolhouse Brewing / Schoolhouse Brewery, even though that's where we visited them. I don't want to waste a lot of time writing a review that might disappear, so let me just say - my sandwich was delicious and the customer service was warm and friendly. Kudus to them for posting real-time, frequent updates and making it easy for fans to find / follow them. As I mentioned above, we visited them at the Schoolhouse Brewing, Marietta location. It's been FOREVER since I drove down Franklin Rd and I was amazed at all the changes. I would never have realized this little brewery was tucked back there in a office park / business park. We visited fairly early and there was plenty of parking. We wanted to try a little bit of everything, so we had The Original (breaded pork loin with mustard and pickle) The Original (breaded pork loin - modified - mayo instead of mustard - no pickle) The Shredded Pig (pulled pork w/BBQ or Hot sauce & pickles) The Chicken Tenders (chicken Tenders, dipping sauce & a side of potato chips) Single order of french fries Everything was pretty tasty, but 'The Original' stole the show. Their menu describes it as a pork chop sandwich, but they're doing themselves a bit of a disservice describing it this way. This is more like a huge piece of pork schnitzel. It's been pounded thin, so it's nice and tender (almost like veal) and hand breaded. The meat is so much larger than the bun that it makes the bun look comical. Lol. Thoroughly enjoyed.
