I went here to just see what the store had and find some Mediterranean grocery. Firstly the people who work there are the NICEST! Very helpful, knowledgeable about their products and great with suggestions. The quality of the fresh vegetables and fruits is also VERY good. It's a small selection but top notch and you'll find all the Arabic staples there. I thought the store was super cute and clean as well. It was affordable and prices are clearly marked. I really liked the store and the service. I saw there was an area for prepared items as well but the day I went there was nothing hot available but there were cold items like hummus and olives and such. This is a really nice place and we should all support this local business! 10/10!! read more

Besides the many fresh and hard to find fruits and vegetables like figs, guava, persimmons and cousa squash. We visit here frequently. I would go here just for the breads - so fresh and delicious. But they have a wide variety of many other foods, especially for such a small space. Lots of fresh veggies and fruit, cheeses, a great tea selection. And the guy who runs it is very friendly and helpful. A little gem of a place! read more

As a mother of three children who lives on the other side of town, I think it says a lot that I forgo convenience and trek to MM on a regular basis to get my Mediterranean staples. The shop, while not fancy, stocks everything from breads and produce to bulk oil and olives to instant mixes. I am always greeted with a smile from the ever-present owner (and sometimes his family), who often suggests (in a pressure-free way) other products I might like to try. After several purchases of LARGE dolmati cans, he suggested I try to make my own using a jar of grape leaves- success! The only negatives I can find: 1. This is really more of a Lebanese/Middle Eastern store, not Mediterranean. I came in looking for arborio rice and other Italian staples, with no luck. and 2. He has recently moved to a larger location just next to his previous spot (literally next door), so the store looks even more like a bodega than usual as he is getting settled in. Please consider patronizing his shop for your olive oil, olives, and pita, even if you are not an adventurous eater. It would be a terrible shame to loose a great little local shop like this!! read more

The service is excellent, warm, and friendly. A family-run business with some of the best, freshest food & produce in the entire area, great place to shop regularly. Reasonable prices, amazing Mediterranean food. The store provides both English & Arabic fluently, Arab Christians from Lebanon who support Arab local events & businesses and are a very diverse loving store which have Muslim, Jews, Christians, and secular people who become more than just shoppers - friends! In response to the person with a bad review, if you have a problem, the store would correct it right away and win you over. Their food is fresh and they work long hours to provide for their family. If you're looking to support a family owned business, this place is the best. Everything I've gotten is so fresh. I especially like their fruits and veggies here. I asked and they said they get them from local farmers too. Not to mention, the prices are way better than Ralphs. Since he's changed locations to a bigger shop, he has a lot more variety. My wife and I visited for our first time today. We were warmly greeted by the owner, who graciously answered our questions about items that were unfamiliar to us. I visited this great shop for the first time recently and was enormously impressed! The selection was amazing and Saeed Youssef was extremely friendly and helpful. I took his advice on a few purchases like Shpek Salami Bourgas, fresh guava, and a hard cheese that strongly reminded me of brie. Saeed also suggested the roasted eggplant (in a jar) and tahini to make delicious Baba Ganouj (it was delicious!). My only disapointment was that I couldn't buy everything in the shop! I will most definitely be back. read more

This store is so much more than a mediterranean mart, there is so much variety! Not only are the owners fantastic, and very friendly, but they carry fresh organics at amazing prices. They get fresh organic produce straight from Chicago regularly. The owners also do their best to fulfill request orders too, so long as it is available, in season, and fairly priced to sell. Their organic prices compete with conventional prices at other stores and you really cannot get a better organic price anywhere else. They also can take bulk orders, which I have done. Aside from organics they carry delicious chocolates, cheeses, breads, sometimes exotic produce even, and much much more! There's usually produce that is exotic and delicious in season. The owners enjoy providing a variety of items and customer favorites. Persimmons, sweet mandarins, yellow dragonfruit, mamey sapote, fresh dates, and others too, I have enjoyed so many fruits throughout the year, when they are in season of course. I encourage all to visit and enjoy this hidden gem of a store. read more
