The Vw Neil Huffman Diagnostic of my 2003 VW beetle. Everything medleys had already claimed to have fixed and refused to fix on warranty
    Elizabeth C.

This place scammed me for thousands of dollars. They refuse to honor warranties or honor their work. Avoid at all costs! I have now had to involve AAA and am working to make sure they lose their AAA recommendation and AAA is working with me to try to get them to fix my car under warranty and if not I will take them to court to get every cent of my money back. I just now got actual proof they were scamming me so keep reading. My car broke down less than a year ago. It is a 2003 VW Beetle with 68k miles. It needed a replacement cooling hose. so I towed it to Medleys and they said my entire coolant system and timing chain needed to be replaced. I should have known then but I said ok and paid close to 2k to fix it all. I received it back and my A/C was not working all of a sudde . So I brought it back and had to pay to fix that even though they probably caused the issue. Subsequent to this my car broke down anywhere from a day to a week of that and would not start. A problem it had never had. So I kept towing it to medley and every time it was a different issue I had to pay for from the wiring harness to the battery to the cam shaft censor and more. And once they actually had to jump my car because it wouldn't start when I tried to leave after paying them. I made it to the gas station and had to call aaa to jump it and told medleys immediately. They charged me to fix it again. It's been at least 7 times that this has happened and thousands and thousands of dollars. So I finally took it to Neil Huffman VW service center on dixie. They gave me a list of issues that needed to be fixed including the A/C. All of these issues have been supposedly fixed and paid for at medley . So I towed it back to medleys because that's been their excuse the entire time of why they wouldn't fix it under warranty. They said it's a new part that needs to be fixed even though the warranty covers the problem not the part. Probably to ensure that mechanics can't scam people by fixing parts that don't need fixing to keep getting more money. SO despite Vw saying what was broken they are trying their scam again and saying it's the fuel pump and they won't fix it under warranty. It's just disgusting. Even when I have proof on paper that hes been fixing stuff that didnt need to be fixed and not fixing the problem I have paid him multiple times to fix the owner EDDIE still refuses to be ethical under the name of his business or ethical under the name and warranty of AAA. Lastly, he threatened if I didnt tow my car off his lot he would tow it and get rid of it. after the thousands and thousands I've spent I won't be letting this go. What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong and Eddie and how he runs his business and treats his paying customers is disgusting and shady at the very least. So I implore you to stay away and find anyone else because they either dont know what they are doing here (best case scenario) or they are outright being shady and scamming people (the more likely and probably worst case scenario). So this is my PSA to everyone who is thinking of going her . All this can be proven and I'm more than happy to do that.

I found the Interstate battery that Medley's was going to sell me for $219.37 ($267.89 installed) at Costco for $100.

Great service, very friendly. Even something as simple as a valve stem cap they're happy to help you with! Thanks Medleys :-)

After checking reviews, I found Kavanaugh Complete Car Care, and I'm so glad I did! From the first call, Karen was incredibly kind and helpful -- she quickly sent a repair quote, scheduled our service, and even arranged for a rental car to pick us up directly from the shop. The pricing was fair, the work was done efficiently, and the customer service was exceptional. It's rare to find a shop that treats travelers with such honesty and care. I highly recommend Kavanaugh Complete Car Care to anyone needing reliable auto repair and genuine customer service!

I had already purchased brand new genuine OEM Motorcraft parts myself. All I needed was the labor for the install to save some time, since I'm perfectly capable of doing the job myself. They refused to use my parts, even though they were OEM. The policy is apparently no customer-supplied parts, period. I understand not wanting to use customer parts for more complex repairs, but for a simple tune-up like spark plugs and coils, it really shouldn't have been a problem with genuine OEM Motorcraft parts. It felt like it was purely about marking up the parts themselves rather than any real concern. For something as basic and straightforward as plugs and coils, this rule is ridiculous and frustrating. Ended up doing it myself. If you're capable of handling a basic tune-up yourself and just want to pay for labor to save time, this isn't the place their inflexible policy will waste your time instead.
