    Whatever you do, do NOT trust this store with your car!…read more I bought my car recently, the end of March, and decided to take a road trip. On the way home, I drove through Louisville KY and saw I needed an oil change. I stopped by Valvoline store number 040133 at 3800 Lexington Rd St Mathew's,Ky 40207 to do this on May 7th, 2022. During my service, I was never informed that if anything bad occurred that I'd need to have a Valvoline certified mechanic look at the car prior to anyone else touching it. I had no clue that this was their "policy". As I made it back home to Minnesota, my car has serious mechanical issues. I took it to a certified mechanic ASAP and found out that Valvoline had/didn't replace the the oil plug correctly according to the diagnosis by the certified mechanic, all my oil leaked out, and my engine blew up. It was recommended for motor replacement. It cost me $10,000 to fix their issue and after I called Valvoline customer care, the store manager Jacob called me on a personal, non-recorded line (and called my certified mechanic the same way) and told me that even though he has a video of the entirety of what happened, they won't pay for anything because I didn't bring the car to one of their own certified mechanics FIRST. Upon requesting that video I was told it cannot be provided. You never think things like this will happen to you until it does. Thought in understand mistakes happen it's important to admit when they are made. This store has me leaving with the feeling that the management and techs here obviously have no clue what they're doing and Valvoline doesn't care about the customer's rights in any way. I told the manager Jacob "I'm not a mechanic why would I know that noises would be associated with a lose oil plug or anything else to do with oil" And the manager Jacob acted like I should've easily known this ghost policy which was impossible. None of the paperwork I received mentioned it and neither did their technicians while I was there. I told my friend who lives in Louisville, right up the road from this store and she has passed the word to her huge network down there of hundreds of people to never go to Valvoline again. This store manager and valvoline will also be receiving communication from my attorney shortly. Don't make the same mistake I did!

    Assistant manager, Jennifer- bald guy with gauges and long stiletto nails. Decided to lie to me…read moretoday about my headlight. I came with the proper headlight, had auto zone look in the system down to the trim package. I Told Jennifer I'd be happy to buy vavolines if that was easier. He said they didn't have my light bulb in stock. Jennifer and the Vavoline staff took out my high beam light. I could see Jennifer signaling ("hand cutting neck") the young man who was under my hood to "stop". Lied to my face saying the person who sold me the light gave me the incorrect one. I looked online to verify. Ask Jennifer which one they took out as autozone and Google says the one he told me I needed was for high beam (which still worked) . His response "all of us have fat hands and can't access the low beam. It's really far down there." I said so "I do have the correct bulb." He closed my hood and signaled me out of the bay. I'm disappointed, I drive out of my way to patronize this location because I've previously loved this LaGrange location. But this is the second time I've come to this location and not been able to receive seamless service. First time they drained my oil and didn't have any oil filters to fit my vehicle. I can without a doubt say I won't be back. If they couldn't change the light, fine. But why lie? They're dishonest. Sad to say, this location is going downhill.
