I literally sought out a way to write a review because my experience was so good. I can say that it was great thanks to one NP that was AMAZING - Tyne Simpson. Wow. I brought my daughter in for multiple issues that were occurring suddenly and at the same time, she was incredibly kind and sensitive to my 5 year old, and really paid attention to everything I was saying and my daughter's symptoms. NP Simpson said my daughter needed to hydrate and I told her she was really nauseous and had a hard time keeping anything down. Instead of just saying "try harder and take the antibiotic, etc." she gave her an antinausea pill that dissolved under her tongue and it made a world of difference once we could get some food and drink in her!! We had a massive turnaround Saturday night, and had we had a different doctor I don't think we would've had that experience. If I'm being honest, we almost did not go to this location because we've had NP Brandon a few times, and our experience has not been good. He doesn't listen, and we talk for a couple minutes, then he prescribes an antibiotic. It seems like his default/go-to is just to give an antibiotic and send you out the door. Once, I left and realized I didn't even know what the problem with my child was, but he just said the antibiotic would take care of it. read more

No complaints after more than five visits to this Urgent Care. Doctors, nurses, and admins have all been great.

Apparently they aren't governed at all. They report to no one and are not under hipaa. Do they get bonuses for denying coverage and not taking notes or having any records? They do not want patients to get care. Their goal is to give patients to doctors and hospitals with the lowest reviews possible. They will lie and manipulate records and for this reason they supply you and your insurance with no records in writing. When they do it is full of misinformation. They would rather a patient expire than get good care. Don't use any insurance they consult for. An endless headache of denials, misinformation, and arbitrary transfers all around. read more

Amy at check in is completely unprofessional. This is my second time having a problem with her. She tries to get you to go to the ER instead of what your doctor suggested. She's not a nurse or doctor but sure likes to act like one. I wouldn't go back until she loses her job. read more

If you use Medicaid they don't take you as fast as other customers. I finally said something about it today and she said the others ahead of me had reservations. First of all, only one of those people did. Second of all I was in the waiting room by myself for 45 minutes. The two other people showed up at 45 minutes. So I still should have been seen first. Kicker? I came in having tested positive for Covid. Super kicker? They weren't mandating masks and left me sitting out there that long. Icing on the cake? The nurse talked down to me the entire assessment because she knew I complained about waiting. When I told her I was there for Covid she stared at me blankly as if to say ya, and? And THEN when I asked about meds she decided she would be a doctor and tell me no that's not for you. Guess what? The doc gave me an RX and was super kind to me. read more

Have you ever noticed places like this with all of their horrible reviews, never get called out on it? If you leave a poor review on a restaurant, others will see it and it has an effect on the owner. But these places that are in charge with your health, it is just swept under the rug. read more

Waited over an hour passed my "reserve your spot" time and then proceed to wait another hour. 2.5 hours in the lobby. Then I finally got called back and waited 30 more minutes for nobody to knock on my door. I decided to leave since I already waited a quarter of my day waiting. I'm patient with our medical system especially since Covid is still going around, but the wait time was ridiculous. Why even have a reservation option when you can't uphold your end. I recommend going to the urgent care clinic in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This place is not it. read more

UPDATE 2020: Now that I've had a chance to use the "Save My Spot", which is the same as making an appointment, I do really like it and have up'd my review from a 3 to a 5 star. Dr. Basram, who has ben here for some years, spotted something that wasn't the reason I was there, but ended up curing a hive/rash that I've had for the last 20 years, 2-allergy testing and many doctor's who have tried to diagnose the problem and failed. He's the man! 20 years!!!! Again, making the appointment with Med Pointe is nice, since otherwise you never know how long that you get to wait to get it. The only thing that I'd like to see with all Med Pointe's, is more cleanliness of the facility. I actually saw ants on the floor there once, and looking close, the place needs some thorough cleaning overall. Still a 5-star though. read more

Not allowed to have more than One parent with BABY. which is NOT mentioned at all!! On the way to my appt they text and say theirs a 30 minute delay like 10 minutes before hand & when you arrive at your appt time they have you waiting their for an hour after. If they really want to be safe then don't have tons of people in the waiting room, their is no social distancing, and it just blows my mind that they really strongly feel like they promoting safety precautions. Don't bother going here because they literally appear to have only one doctor on call for an urgent care center... I don't typically write reviews but just take your child to a hospital or whomever. I had a head injury in the late afternoon. I was recommended to visit this location. The front desk staff was friendly and warm. A staff member visited a few moments with me while I waited for my visit. The physician and nurse that assisted me did a terrific job stitching my scalp back together. I could tell the physician cared about me personally. I would definitely take my family to this Medpoint if I had a need. I was very impressed with everybody I came in contact with. read more

I will NEVER go back here again! We show up last night and the wait isn't long, so that's good. I get to the back, they do a urine culture and I'm told I have a UTI. I specifically told the nurse practitioner that I could NOT swallow pills! The nurse practitioner understood and told me she'd call me something I could crush. I get to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine and they are huge capsules! I'm limited on what I can take because I have SVT, but if I can't swallow pills, then sorry, I can't swallow pills! I tried to swallow these capsules and wasted two of them trying to get them down! So, I call Med Point at about 9:20 A.M. this morning and the woman I spoke with was completely rude and really couldn't care less about my issue! This witch proceeded to tell me that Tyne Simpson wasn't back in until Sunday and pretty much told me that I was crap outta luck! So, I went to Med Point for nothing and I will be calling my insurance company to make sure Med Point does not charge them! I don't know what it is about Beacon specifically that has the absolute worst employees! Now I have to go somewhere else today to get treated because this could potentially turn into something very dangerous and then I guess I could sue Beacon for basically refusing to give me a treatment I could take! read more

I have been here for three hours even though I checked in online seven hours ago. My eardrum ruptured mid flight and I'm sitting here with a bleeding ear. My estimated time has been pushed back three times and is now an hour later than expected. The only pharmacy still open is a $18 Uber ride from here and an $18 ride back to campus. As a university student without a car, the delay has made it really expensive to get the antibiotics and pain drops that I will inevitably need. I am frustrated, in pain, and sick of the health care system. read more

I showed up as a walk-in after reading reviews about how the online appointments don't actually work and ended up waiting an hour and a half when there was only about 4 other people in the waiting room just to be seen by a nurse. I went in for a simple sinus infection. The nurse took my vitals and then it took another 40 minutes just to be seen by the physician. Now to give a little background, I'm a surgical technician so I know a little bit about the human body. I suffer from a chronic condition called POTS and within the 40 minutes I was waiting for a doctor to see me, I began to have a POTS flare up which can cause body convulsions and passing out. I opened the door of the room to show a nurse passing by in the hallway that on my apple watch my heart rate went from 83 when they took my vitals to now 128 and climbing when I was simply sitting in there waiting. She then ignored me and gave me attitude saying the doctor would be there soon. Finally, after what felt like forever, the doctor finally came in to tell me that the covid test the nurse gave me when I came in was lost and they were looking for it because no one charted it. Mind you, it wasn't busy when I was there. I proceeded to inform her that I was having a flare up and she said ok and scribbled it down on her paper and then simply told me I just have a viral cold and to take some nyquil. Having me leave without knowing what my covid results are and also ignoring the fact that her patient was tachycardic. Never ever going there again. I had to call my mom to bring me medicine as I sat in my car waiting and almost fainting in the parking lot. read more

I sat in the waiting room for 2 hours, this is after I had reserved a time online. Once back the staff was really nice. This is the only reason I am not giving it one star. I was told a prescription would be called in. This prescription for an eye antibiotic was never called in. I have now left two messages for the clinical staff and it has still not been called in. I cannot work until I have these antibiotics for pink eye. Very frustrated. read more

I have a chronic illness 30+ years and I know when my body is out of whack for some reason. I have my history and recent tests with me when I travel. I was patronized and made to feel stupid. All in a 2 minute visit. Was told this was urgent care and my tired weakness wasn't urgent. Feeling faint seems urgent to me! "Go to a family doctor." Being out of town not many doctors willing to see new patient once! Staff and blood folks were fine - dr 1 star for bedside manners! Been 4 days since my blood test and still no test results. Medpoint on Main was great. We got there early and got in line. It was busy because it was a Saturday after Thanksgiving. All staff was kind, respectful, and caring. I observed people didn't want to wait, but it's an urgent care, not an appointment. It took a couple of hours, but they were thorough rather than rush us out of there. read more

We were staying at a nearby cottage in southern Michigan when daughter became very ill. We are so grateful that we took her to Medpoint. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was kind and welcoming. My daughter had to have several tests and was diagnosed with pneomonia. Dr. Poopola was so sweet to my daughter. It is hard to have a sick child, even harder when you are not at home. But we were saved by Medpoint! Best Urgent Care I have been to. We were able to do an xray and lab work right there. I had a wonderful experience at Medpoint. I came from out of town and had to bring my sick child to see a doctor. I loved that you could reserve a spot. The front office was friendly. Our nurse, Christina, was super kind and amazing with my daughter. Very professional. The doctor checked everything and listened to my concerns. He was also kind and professional and we were out quickly. I would highly recommend this urgent care to anyone needing a quick look at their sick child. read more

Not completely satisfied with my visit... I was in a lot of pain from slamming my finger in my car door. The throbbing pain from blood build up in my nail was not taken seriously, as we all have different pain tolerances. The empathy I recieved the moment I walked into the door at the front desk from the time I was assisted by the Doctor was poor. I was sent back for X-Rays, (which I will say was conducted by the nicest and caring gentleman) which took about forty-five minutes. When the Dr. came back I asked her why she didn't give me an ice pack as I was in a LOT of pain and thought I made that clear to her by communication and the fact that I was crying. Her reply, "I didn't think about it." That itself took me aback. Well, and the fact that her non-verbal communication towards me crying stated: "Suck it up." She told me she hated the tool that was used to put a hole in my nail to drain some of the blood from it. Very professional. I was told I would be called about my X-rays on Mon. as I had gone in on a Sunday night. Here it is Wednesday and no communication. read more

I would suggest to anyone NEVER COME HERE THE DOCTORS ARE HACKS. I came here on Monday march 11, 2013 because I was having a really hard time breathing. First off the nurse that I saw was very rude. The placed me in a room and it took forever for the doctor to come in. When about 30 min later she finally came in (may I remind you I could hardly breath) asked me a few questions told me I was having a panic attack. Then the nurse came back in to give me a volume shot I asked her is this going to make me sick since I haven't eaten she then responded back in a really nasty tone "well we don't have any food here all we have is a vending machine". All I wanted to know was if the medicine that they were administering me was going to make me sick since I hadn't ate, and she couldn't even give me an answer except for a rude remark. When the nurse gave me the shot my knees gave in and she said another rude comment "oh honey it doesnt work that fast". Clearly she forgot I hadnt ate (oh yeah i am 115 lbs) so when i have drugs administered they tend to hit me pretty fast). Then the doctor came back in about 15 min later and said did that help I responded no I still am having a hard time breathing so then they gave me a breathing treatment still didn't work then they gave me a steroid shot and I don't even know what else. By the time I left I was so messed up on drugs that they had given me I couldn't stand and had to be wheel chaired out. Oh and when my husband came back to get me after he had taken my son to his doctor for bronchitis the nurse and the doctor couldn't tell him what they had given me, and they where really nasty to him. And on top of all that they prescribed me an anti-depressant called PAROXETINE look it up. Come to find out I have bronchitis like my son not panic attack bronchitis. We also had prior issues in 2011 when we took our son here they missed diagnosed him too. DO NOT COME HERE. There are new walk-in clinics in the area at heritage square and by the mall. I believe memorial med group should not treat there patients the way I was treated and with the economy today I will def take my money somewhere where they care about there patients and not the money!!!!!!!!! read more

This place has to be the worst medical experience that I have ever had. I went in after 12am on a weekday evening, as I was very sick. I was also having some stomach discomfort, however, my head was really hurting and I was running a fever. After being checked in, by a very rude " Security Guard " who seemed to be more interested in his drawing of cartoons, to which he stated that he was working on being a cartoonist, I was told to take a seat and that I should go to the hospital, because they were very busy. It honestly seemed like he and later even the nurse, were trying to just get me out of there. While waiting in the waiting room, I noticed that the place was filthy. In several places the ceiling was coming down from what I guess is water damage and there was even black mold on the paint. In fact, while I was checking out, I told them about this and I was told that it has been like this for years and management is aware of the problem??? After waiting nearly two hours, a doctor, came in the room, told me He could do nothing about the stomach problem because they could not do a cbc blood screen and I was told to go to the ER. I was also given tylenol by the nurse and billed almost 200.00 for seeing a doctor for less than five minutes and told to go to the ER. What a joke. I would not let my dog be treated in this dump. I have never seen so nasty a place that is in the business of treating people who are sick. Besides the poor service, the lazy staff, and a security/ want to be cartoonist, filling in and working as a receptionist. I have to say this was the worst medical experience I have ever had. In the future I will just go to the med center. I guess my first time there, is my last time. Not worth the wait or the waste of time and money. AVOID!!! I would give zero stars is that were an option. I generally do not send in reviews but this time I felt that I needed to. My 21 year daughter came home about 6:30 Saturday evening, June 1, complaining of an UTI. She is susceptible to these and has had many. Since it was after hours, I decided to call the MedPoint in Granger - on Main Street. I wanted to find out if the doctor could just give her a prescription of if he would need to examine her and take a urine sample first; especially since this is a reoccurring event for her. When I called, I listened to a recording about hours and insurance. The recording then said if I wanted to talk to a receptionist, dial 0. I thought the receptionist would be able to answer the question for me. While still on hold waiting for the receptionist being told "we appreciate your patience, please continue to hold", I changed my clothes, drove round trip 7.9 miles to Walgreens, and purchased an over the counter medicine to help with the pain. My daughter has now taken the medicine and I am just about to hang up after waiting for the receptionist to answer. "We appreciate your patience, please continue to hold," does not continue to help after holding 50 minutes and 53 seconds.! I consider this INCREDIBLY BAD service and will never ever just this clinic in the future. Remember, we weren't waiting to see the doctor on call, just talk to someone on the phone! read more
