Now I've only been twice, not including my consultation, but this place is amazing. The staff is so incredibly friendly and very professional. I felt right at home every time I've been there. This feels misleading and unfair to customers who receive gift certificates in good faith. Based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing or gifting certificates from CaloSpa unless all expiration terms are clearly disclosed in writing.

I am giving 5 stars on my overall experience with the office staff, doctors, pricing, and results. At this practice, I went to see Dr. Geoffrey Durham-Smith for a breast reduction (non-cancer/illness related). I was referred by a friend who had a surgery done by him in the past and was satisfied with the results. I went for a consult (sometimes these are "free" meaning they may be covered by your insurance plan, CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE FIRST). At the consult, they will take your general information (height, weigh, blah blah) and it may include taking pictures of your breasts if that is what your surgery is for (it's weird, but just a heads up). Then the doctor will come in and briefly speak with you, ask you a few questions, and give you more information. If you want them to, they will submit a request for medical review/prior authorization to your insurance company to see, if you decide to have the surgery, if it is a covered benefit. Once they receive a response from your insurance company, they will get in touch with you. After the initial anger of my insurance company refusing to even review it for medical necessity (because it was NOT cancer related), I was able to talk with them about the self pay option. When it comes to self pay, they can give a pretty accurate quote (including the doctors fee, anesthesia, operating room, and hospital fees). Make sure to ask what fees may come up NOT included in the quote. I had a few fees come up that they did not say, which led to some anger and heated discussions with them, but everything was sorted out. The office staff was, 99% of the time, helpful and patient with all my questions and paperwork requests (needing receipts, FMLA paperwork for me and a caregiver, disability paperwork for work). The other 1% was after I received an unexpected bill and someone who didn't do the billing/cost information tried to help me and did not have all the information when I was already mad (if you already paid everything for you were quoted and you get another bill when you have already paid everything out of pocket, you would be mad too). Dr. Durham-Smith is a very professional and to the point doctor, he did not chit-chat and shoot the breeze. His bedside manner was all business, which when surgery and pain scare you and make you feel like a child, may not be the best, but the nurses at the office and at the hospital, help with that. I am very happy with my results from this surgery and experience with this office/doctor. If there are any women who are even THINKING about getting breast reduction, I greatly encourage you to at least get a consult, and I would recommend this office. Just make sure you are asking questions of your insurance company and to the office itself when it comes to money and coverage.

She now stated to me I should not be on vacation or getting any tan. No where in my paperwork does it advise a person cannot have a tan in the summer time). I say beware of this scam to all men and women considering it. All my paperwork states that their outstanding professional lasers can treat ALL SKIN TONES and COLOR (states this on the website also). They also now are blaming it on my Dark (Black Hair color) but they were fine to sell the package to me with dark hair and dark skin back in January. This treatment is simply not working, now that they realize I am having a very low success rate they are refusing to treat me and say I owe now more money for "touch-ups" they want me to pay 10% for touch-ups even though my paperwork does state free "touch-ups". They also will not give me any info. as to the owners name or anyone else in charge. When you google Premier Laser Spa you can see that in October 2015 they filed Bankruptcy. When I went in the room, Ashton sat down with her arms crossed and literally said we aren't doing anything. I was so confused because I had been speaking with the manager. Ashton was so extremely rude to me and it was silent in there because this is something they had obvious intentions with. I was so upset and telling the girls up front that I'd be calling back. Ashton for some reason aggressively walks fast towards me like she was going to put her hands on me. I turned around to confront her and told her to back off. What a dumb decision..finding out later from another client that she was fired for doing the same thing to a client at a different place. Just hiding behind all those good reviews. Remember those reviews reflect your work but not who you are as a person. I also had nose filler done only to find out later they are supposed to use an ultrasound to make sure you don't go blind. They did NOT use an ultrasound and he injected me like 4 times and said done. I didn't know what the routine was so you trust these random people. Never again. I've already filed a formal complaint and will continue up the chain because they refuse to respond from their lack of care. I sat in my car for an hour trying to calm down because I couldn't believe what happened. The manager came out and said " I'm sure we can work something out" lol absolutely not.
