My girlfriend went to Indigo with a desperate situation - she had been sick for nearly a year, with…read moreno help from any doctor. Indigo ran blood tests and said she had EBV and Lyme. They recommended ozone treatments. A pint of blood was drawn, ozone gas was injected into her blood, and it was fed back into her arm with an IV. We were in a desperate situation - and even though ozone treatment has almost no scientific basis, and the FDA says it has "no known useful medical application", we agreed to proceed. This happened for every week for 3 months, at nearly $1000 per week. At the end of the three months, there was no improvement. We called, and expressed our concerns. We were told that "now the real treatment can begin." What was the 3 months of ozone treatment for? They recommended a new treatment of IV antibiotics, at a cost of $20,000 per month. When we expressed shock at the cost, they said, "it's only money...and it doesn't matter which treatment you pick, just go with one." We stopped going to them after this phone call. They clearly did not care about anything except charging us as much money as possible. We finally discovered that she was suffering from a tooth infection and had been living with sepsis. She did not have EBV. She did not have Lyme. Indigo completely misdiagnosed her, and she almost died because of it. She had weeks to live before an amazing dentist did a 3D scan and found the infection. She had two molars pulled, and her health improved immediately. Indigio peddles pseudoscience and preys on the desperate. AVOID these charlatans at all costs. Going there may kill you.

For the past two visits, both appointments have been nearly all on-time, which I appreciate. The facility also has an in-house X-ray technician and machine, which cuts down on time. I can't emphasize on how much I really appreciate the aspect of how efficient the entire team there works. As strange as it may sound, I couldn't help but to feel like I am guilty of wasting everyone's time there, and I felt rushed and flushed out of there quickly. Yes, I love physicians who are on time and the office so efficient that I waltz out of there happy and ready to get on with the rest of my day. Maybe it's just me who felt bad about the reasons and cause of issues I have presented and I felt like there's really nothing anyone can do about it. Maybe I should just call it disappointment. I'm not sure. Whatever the case is, I will just go back to my regular orthopedic office I've come accustomed to.

He was very confident that he could give do the surgery and improve my quality of life as it pertained to my foot pain and issues. I am going to be honest, there was a good amount of work done to my foot. Repair a plantar plate, fix a mild bunion, and remove 2 neuromas. He said he needed to shorten the second toe. I did everything that he told me to do. I did physical therapy in his office for the full recommended time. I went every week wearing 2 masks in a crowded office. I did all recommendations...Alex Brinlee my PT was excellent. However, Dr Feldman kept pushing the goalpost when I was not pain-free with the right amount of mobility in my foot. First, it was, give it 3 or 4 months....then, it takes at least 6 months, then, 9 months I am sure it will be better, and finally, this usually takes a year...Well, we are about 1.5 years post and my second toe doesn't move, the pain barefoot is the same or worse and I STILL can only wear sneakers comfortably. I cannot WEAR a small wedge or simple ONE inch heel. He said that I would be able to wear better shoes and was VERY confident. One visit that I had where I was complaining about my pain and the thickness on my foot, he ASSURED me that the thickness GOES AWAY and also told me that my x-ray was beautiful. Hmmm...Oh, I am glad my x-ray looks so lovely but how about you acknowledge how the PATIENT feels? I definitely felt he was being extremely arrogant. So, as time has gone on, I am very grateful that I can walk. I am grateful that I have my foot! But not happy with the outcome of my surgery. I did NOT want to post this review, but I wrote Dr Feldman a letter letting him know of my displeasure. Of course, he did NOT respond to me. That in itself speaks volumes. I want say that while I do NOT think that Dr. Feldman did anything WRONG. It just happened but his arrogance and lack of solutions are what is disappointing. Oh, let me not forget to mention that he recommended that I "protect my investment" by purchasing $300 custom insoles that HURT SO MUCH I CANNOT WEAR them. A total waste of money. Think twice about going to this practice!!!! Is this the type of doctor you want? Arrogance and no offering of better solutions to what a patient considers a FAILED surgery?

I will always be grateful for that. I am also a patient of Dr. Maruf and I feel that he truly cares about me. When I am with Dr. Maruf I never feel rushed. He is a kind, gentle, and excellent Doctor. I have recommended him to many friends and family members and they have all felt as I do about him. The staff warm, helpful, and friendly. The office is very attractive and clean. Occasionally the wait can be a bit long because they take emergencies as they arise. What good is a doctor if they are not available in an emergency!

However, now that Dr McNamara is part of Bethesda Physician Associates, an MDVIP practice, there is no comparison to the past. Now, if there is an issue, I usually get a callback from Dr McNamara within an hour or so. If I am sick, I can usually get a same day or next day appointment. The physical exam is comprehensive and is not rushed. I am highly satisfied with the change. The downside is that there is now an additional fee of $2,000 per year. However, I realize that in this age of managed care and insurance-driven health care, it has become necessary in order to get the care that I desire and expect.

He then proceeded to tell her that her test results were fine; however, he was sure she needed to get back to her family as he needed to get back to his. I understand people have lives outside of their work; however, it should have never taken until October to hear back about something regarding her health, good or bad. He now works for MDVIP where patients pay extra money to have a doctor on call whenever they need them. I don't know about anyone else but, if I'm going to pay over $1000 extra to have a doctor there whenever I need him/her, I would want someone who really cares about the hospitality aspect of the medical field. I don't seem to be the only person who feels this way either.

I have has many primary care physicians in my lifetime, but his wisdom, caring, and sensible advice made for a very pleasant relationship. I rarely come to crying, but I feel a deep loss personally. I'm not privy, but I'm guessing had been dealing will some overwhelming personal issues as well as under pressure from the perils of running a practice within the current structure of medicine; low insurance reimbursements, predatory hospitals, etc. The outpouring of love, affection, and respect at the memorial service was one of the most amazing I have witnessed. I am both sickened and saddened to loose this wonderful man.

I'm in and out on time and am encouraged to ask questions, go for follow-up when necessary, and continue to refuse the $25 voluntary fee each year without a problem. In my five years with this practice, I have never had an issue with billing and have probably seen each of their doctors once (including Dr. Abbey who is no longer with them... sad face). I've also traveled to their McLean office in order to get an earlier appointment and have had no troubles there either!
