The workers were helpful and guided me to the plants I was looking for. Great accessories as well! Surprised how well priced they were as well!

So cute! I loved their huge selection and great prices. They also were handing out beverages the saturday we stopped by and coozie too. I picked up some small gourds and my friends got more plants for their houses as well. Highly recommend stopping by, parking is easy along the street and all free. All the plants looked to be in great health as well!

Discovered this gem next to my new apartment Cormac! Literally can walk right to it! I found only the best selection for my patio. Staff was very helpful and talked on the different plants and which ones would work best. They have been in the NOMO location 5 years and I see why!! Stop in and check them out!

Love this place! It's one of my favorite places to shop for houseplants in the Charleston area. They have a wide variety including some uncommon plants. Prices are reasonable and every plant I've gotten here has been healthy and pest-free. They also have some cute pots and plant accessories!

Great selection, beautiful modern planters, friendly and super helpful staff, quick delivery (delivered before we got home), very reasonable delivery fee. One of the best nurseries in the area, highly recommended!

New plant babies I picked up on my visit!

There's some that…read moreare larger and some that have lower prices, but the service and knowledge at Abide A While can't be matched. When I first moved to Mount Pleasant 5 years ago, Abide A While was the first nursery that I went to. As soon as I walked in the annual section, I was met with the warmest smile by an older lady that instantly made me feel at home. I forgot her name, but after talking for a while she had mentioned she was with the company for about 40 years! Being as happy as she was with the same company for that long is definitely is a statement in itself! Unfortunately she retired not too long ago, but now I've met so many other friendly and knowledgeable people at Abide A While. Bruce and J.D.(?) are my go-tos. As for the layout, I like it a lot. Pretty much all the annuals are to the right. Houseplants are on the left, inside with the household items. (All of the household items are beautifully displayed and consist of great quality). Outside, towards the rear of the building are the perennials, trees, and some tropical plants. One of the most important things about Abide A While is every plant is labeled and the majority have full descriptions! If the description is not on the pot, it'll be on a nearby post or printed out on a card. There's nothing more that I hate than to have to do full research on the spot for a plant that catches my eye. So kudos to them for providing that information. I'll end with saying Abide A While is just beautiful, inside and out. I especially love going there after a stressful day. It's so serene, and even majestic in a way. If you haven't been there before, it's worth going for that reason alone.

They told me how to take care of it and it's sprouting lemons!! Value: you get what you pay for. It's not cheap but the product is clearly top notch.

Despite proper sun and watering, withing several weeks one shrub started to turn brown. I brought it to the nursery when 3/4 of the bush was dead. I requested a replacement and was advised that I had over-watered the plant and it had develeped a fungus. I was further advised that they would offer a ONE-TIME REPLACEMENT, AT 50% OF THE COST! This did not sit well with me but I needed another bush, so I reluctantly paid the additional cost and purchased fungal spray to have on hand. Within the next couple of weeks, another shrub as well as the replacement shrub started to turn brown. I administered the fungicide accordingly, but the plants did not respond and died. Upon calling the nursery and advising them of the situation, I was told this time that the shrubs had been UNDER-WATERED and that they only offered a ONE-TIME REPLACEMENT. I have purchased many plants and shrubs over the years from other nurseries as well as at Home Depot, Lowes, and Costco, and have never experienced this deplorable level of customer service. If there is a problem, this nursery expects one to call with any issues so that they can give you the run around and BLAME YOU for the plants failure! I learned that Brownswood Nursery does not stand behind the quality of their merchandise. NEVER AGAIN!!
