Jimmy and the gang at Angel Oak Nursery are the best! Honest, candid, straight shooters. They can get just about anything, help you decide where to plant it and won't be shy about telling you if it is going to be delayed for some reason. His goal, so far as I can tell over the past 3 years of doing business with him, is to make customers happy in an honest way. I can't find flaw with his business standard. I didn't want to leave a review at first because I felt I was being too sensitive but the more I think about it the more it bothers me that I didn't speak up more firmly. My dad selected this company to do landscaping for the house I live in year round and my parents stay seasonally, and I approved because I like supporting small businesses. My dad first met the guy to assess our yard space and then I scheduled a time to stop by to check out plant choices. He didn't have everything I wanted but tried to get a few from my list. He originally chose all pastel colors and I wanted either all various purples or brighter pinks. He took time to show me each plant in the yard or in a brochure and then showed me the drawing where he planned to put each of the plants and I said it looked good but I would need to see in person where he sets the plants before putting them in the ground before I approved because I couldn't visualize from the circles on the plan. His son did a lot of work prepping the flower beds that hadn't been messed with since before I had moved in. They set the plants up according to the plan, and I liked all but 2 plant placements. For all I have listed so far I give 3 stars. However, I requested that the tall bush not be directly in front of the window and in the corner instead. The owner argued that this is what the plan said. I said I understood but I didn't want a tall bush blocking my window and the height of that bush was not apparent in the drawing, and I wanted the tall bush in the corner and since nothing had been dug yet and only placed in pots it would be easy to just switch. The man told me that I did not want that and I needed to just listen to him. I took off a star because as the customer, I should get to decide what I want instead of being argued with or talked down to. We argued back and forth before I then asked if he planted it where he wanted and I didn't like it after living with it a bit would he be willing to replant it where I wanted in the corner. He said yes and I was annoyed to be told what I want instead if listened to when I told him what I want. I figured I would just call a week later for it to be moved. I took off another star because when it came time and we called they wanted to charge us another $150 to move the same bush I told him I didn't want there but 2 feet over in the first place. This is already over a year or so ago, and it is over. I don't think I needed quite so many bushes now that they have grown but he thought I needed them. While I love my tea olive bush, I still hate it blocking my window view and wish I had not given in. If you are female an enjoy being talked down to by all means use this company. read more

I highly recommend Angel Oak Nursery. Steven and Jimmy were so helpful. I learned so much in the short time I was there. They were so helpful in helping me select the right shrubs for what I had in mind. I am very pleased with my purchase - 10 shrubs. I had called Angel Oak a week earlier and they said they were backed up with deliveries and to call Monday. I requested delivery and had to wait one day which wasn't bad. I was quoted $34 a yard but was charged $48 a yard. I called to verify and they told me the person I had talked to Friday was wrong and it was $48 this was after I was charged and dirt had been delivered. All Seasons Mulch Market only charges $30 a yard for topsoil. I feel a bit ripped off and there was no customer service to try and fix the problem. I never have left a review before but I felt this needed one. read more

Great customer service and reasonable prices. Their mulch is high quality - it retains it's color much better than the stuff you get at home improvement stores. Definitely recommend this nursery. read more
