We always visit Mega each time we're in Cozumel. Chris and I love browsing through isles whenever we're in a warehouse club or large supermarkets and Mega is not an exception. It is Cozumel's version of Walmart. Chris gets one of his favorite beers here, the Bohemia Vienna. And I get my coconut water. Very large 'everything-under-one-roof' type store in Cozumel. It is within walking distance from one of the cruise ports (Punta Langosta), but would require a short taxi ride for the one my brother and I got off of (International terminal). The prices might be a bit higher than on the open local market stalls, but with better odds that the items are authentic. They also have a full gamut of grocery items, along with an instore restaurant serving a Chinese buffet of all things. And there are other stalls lining the outer inside ring, selling various things, under one roof. Kinda reminded me of the asian market set-up where the main store brings people in, and vendors rent out the space to sell their wares. read more

"Mega" Is an appropriate name for this place as it is HUGE! They seem It to sell pretty much everything under the sun! Fresh produce, baked goods, cooked food, fresh food, clothing, electronics, just to name a few things, and really cheap tequila! If you haven't been, it's definitely a place to check out! read more

Not so different from Chedraui. The selection is somewhat varied and the stores within the mall are different, too. I enjoyed going into the office supply store and some clothing stores in the first level. There is also a movie theater in this building, and a gym. They take credit cards. Have public restrooms. Bring your own bags or purchase some. read more

My Bien ! Went off the port as we were looking for balon de futbols for our soccer playing kids who traveled with us . No where in the cruise ports sell them . We were not disappointed we found soccer balls with Mexico teams on them for $13 US . I was able to use my limited Spanish to explain to people at the port what I wanted and also to get directions from the locals. Its kinda like the US version of Walmart/Target but they also sell motorbikes read more

We have been traveling to Cozumel for twenty years and usually stay on the north end of the island in a condo. There are several grocery stores to choose from, Mega is fantastic, produce, deli, meat/seafood all fresh and you will find anything and everything needed Including clothes, pool toys, sandals etc. Clean and very well stocked including Wine, beer and spirits Easy parking and access. There is a secure ATM inside the store. We've always had a good experience and like this store Note, currently ( June 2021) they arent offering plastic bags so bring a couple of beach bags or similar to carry your groceries. read more

This is a pretty vast supermarket full of staff who don't speak English, which allows me to demonstrate just how lousy my Spanish is. Given its enormous I was surprised to find it didn't sell birthday cards so that was one part of a practical joke that we couldn't carry out. Best laid plans of mice & men and all that. Anyway I was focussed on finding different varieties of sun dried, smokey Mexican red chillis. What else, but I gotta tell ya the fresh pineapples, to which was added salt & chilli were first class. I got the chillis for my own home cooking. Having picked and bagged me chillis (3 different varieties) I turned to the in - house coffee bar. The bar is right beside their home bakery, which turns out a vast array of wonderfully smelling sweet and savoury food. I opted for a selection of sweet cakes which I brought to the bakery attendant. She boxed, labelled and priced the cakes and I then went right next door to the coffee bar where I could order coffee and also pay for the cakes. There was no one in attendance at the coffee dock. I asked at least three staff for service but I was wasting my breath. One American chap stood with me but after several minutes gave up and left. Another American couple joined me and we mutually whinged about the total lack of customer care. We must have waited near to 15 minutes mutually complaining when a staffer suddenly appeared clutching bags of change, and she was totally unfazed that customers were impatiently waiting. In truth, the fact we had in - store WiFi (which was pretty poor quality) and the fresh buns kept us there. We I eventually got my two good coffees at about half the price of Starbucks and we sat and enjoyed the freshly baked buns. I watched what the staffer did, and how she did. So next time there's no service I'll nip behind the counter and do it myself and see what happens. Apparently the Lord helps those who help themselves. read more

Store was huge, Air-conditioned felt like a walmart , we bought souvenirs, snacks , and clothes . They accept debit cards and Major credit cards from the United States, there is also a Atm for cash back . The pricing was comparable to the states , it was not cheap for Mexico. read more

Posting as a U.S. American abroad: prices are good. Don't expect much service. This is right across from where cruise ships land and the employees for the most part seem very done with outsiders. I found it to be a great one-stop shop to grab food/beverages and things you need but forgot or didn't want to pack. Think "mega grocery store" in the United States. Easy to locate, being at the cross-section of two major roads. I am staying in Cozumel and rented a scooter to get around. There's a lovely man who attends to the scooter parking area in the lot. Be sure to tip him if you park your scooter... he is a wonderful guy and so helpful! read more

Came here a few times during our stay in Cozumel. Store is like a smaller Target with a market section. We stocked up on drinks and chips for our beach day. Good prices. I found some traditional Mexican blouses for cheaper than the ones I saw outside sold by vendors so that was a plus. Stop here before heading out to the other side of the island to get water/soda, etc. for your day trip. Save some money! **If you walk in with any tote bags or backpacks, they make you lock it up with security. read more

Honestly, I know it's a supermarket but this was one of our favorite stops in Cozumel. It was pouring down rain and we needed a break from the downpour so we ran in here, went up the escalator and holy crap! It reminded me of Sam's Club or Costco but better! They even had mopeds and street bikes for sale. The employees were all so very friendly and we found so many interesting things to bring home to our family. The Mexican craft beer, the homemade tortillas, the spices, the discount medicine (trust me). They also have an aisle for souvenirs but skip this because they're overpriced and you can get them cheaper at the flea market. Try the desserts and buy some Mexican whiskey because if you're an American, the exchange rate is 17 PZ =1 US. Also, tip your bagger! Watch out for the aggressive salesmen when you first enter the store. They're trying to sell you on a tour of Cozumel. read more

This place pretty much has everything you want and need. The prices are almost identical to the same products sold throughout the U.S. in most stores. They accept U.S. dollars, but will return change in Mexican pesos. The main store is up the moving walkway, on the second floor. On the first floor as you walk in, there is anything from OfficeMax to a clothing boutique (super nice staff there!) to a cigar place to a nail salon. The first floor also has a GNC which was surprising. And the air conditioning feels amazing after coming in from the blistering Mexican heat/sun. read more

Great place with lots of stuff you can buy. It has a variety of individual shops downstairs and the real shopping is upstairs. All sorts of items: furniture, appliances, outdoor, vehicles, alcohol, packaged food, freash produce, meats, and cheeses, etc. It's as nice as any grocery store in the USA. Sells many familiar brands. Prices are great. If buying alcohol, be cognizant of the cutoff times. It's 8:45 PM some nights. The baggers rely exclusively on tips from what I understand, and 20 pesos is much appreciated. They take bagging seriously! This is very central so you will have no problem getting taxis around here. Lots of interesting little shops and a few restaurants nearby too. read more

Im reviewing this place so tourists know how great it is. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort in cozumel and if you are then this should be your first stop after check in. Bottles of water are much cheaper than at the hotels. Beer is also very cheap. We got some for our room since the AI alcohol is....missing something....flavor and alcohol? haha. They have liquor and wine also. The best part about this place is that it Actually has the cheaper prices, instead of places just charging the "american" prices in peso's. You can also use USD and they give you change in USD(actually most places in Cozumel do) We got snorkeling gear here, and even the most expensive pieces were cheaper than renting at the resorts. They have a ton of stuff here, grocery items, clothes, shoes, bathing suits ect. A little mall downstairs. Worth visiting if you need anything and much cheaper than the gift shops. read more

A couple of crew members on the cruise ship told me about this place. This place has most any item you would want. Fruit, a snack bar, sodas, fresh seafood, homemade tortillas, clothing, alcohol, groceries, snorkel mask, pool floats, coolers, water shoes, sandals, Cozumel t-shirts, toys, a bakery, car tires, electronics, washers & dryers, and even new motorcycles and scooters. Store was very clean and orderly. Of course, all prices were in Pesos, and we used our credit card, with no problems. They did ask for an ID when we used our card. We showed our US drivers license. You can see the top of the MEGA sign on your right, as you walk down the Punta Langosta pier. Use the entrance on the right side of the store. As soon as you walk in, you will turn left, and take the escalator to the second level. On the second level, is where the store is located. Easy, short walk from the Punta Langosta pier. read more

Parking is good. Centrally located. We came here to buy sunscreen and water, however we probably won't come back given the prices were not that great on food. It's better than Walmart but still expensive considering the local wages. In the future we will try to find local stores to support. read more

We stopped here as our first planned stop of the day when we were in port on a cruise. And I have to say I was impressed. We went on a little mini spree grabbing bottles of hot sauce and seasoning to help make up for the lack of it on the ship. I grabbed a much needed drink and we did a good bit of looking around. I speak spanish so I didn't have any trouble with the cashiers, but I did see that they offer a few lines with bi-lingual cashiers to help other visitors that might not speak the native tongue. If you're in town for a few hours and there's a few items you need to get, make this your one stop. read more

Great grocery/all purpose store in Cozumel. Loved taking a shopping cart up the ramp. The grooves wheels stuck on the escalator giving me a smooth ride. Definitely a first stop when you check into any resort. Pick up water, drinks, coffee, pastries but WHERE IS SUGAR? No sugar in the whole store. Only substitute. Hmmm. Trade war in Cozumel? Great clothing selection with dressing room. Hard liquor area. Fantastic wine selection! Got 2 bottles. Staff helpful in getting my party of 5 taxied back to the resort. read more
