Review is due to location!…read more I've been dealing with severe neck pain for about two years and decided to try chiropractic care to see if it would help. Due to its convenient location, I visited The Joint Chiropractic in Slabtown. I wasn't aware of their membership/subscription model but decided to commit to the process. The membership includes four visits per month, and the appeal is that no appointments are necessary--just drop in when you have time. At my first visit, I met with a chiropractor who seemed knowledgeable and was very aggressive in his approach. He did get my neck to adjust, but I can't say I felt immediate relief. Still, I was willing to give it a chance. To ensure I used all four visits each month, I scheduled time on my calendar. However, I quickly realized that getting all my sessions in would be nearly impossible. Over three weeks, I dropped in five times but was only seen once because the office was frequently closed. One time, I even paid for parking--accidentally for four hours, costing me $15--only to find a "Closed" sign on the door. Another person arrived at the same time and was equally frustrated, so it was clearly a recurring issue. Additionally, the office has a lunch break when they are closed, making scheduling even more difficult. When I did manage to get in, I was surprised to see a different chiropractor each time. This meant I had to explain my situation repeatedly, and each session lasted only about 2-3 minutes. Over the course of my membership (May-December 2024), I was only seen about eight times due to the Slabtown location's inconsistent hours. On two occasions, I was able to visit other locations, and those experiences were fine--but constantly having to visit different providers felt ineffective. On a positive note, canceling my membership was easy. I simply emailed the company, and a helpful representative sent me a form. I returned it, and my membership was canceled the same day. Ultimately, my issues were specific to the Slabtown location. As of now, their Google Maps hours show them as being closed Sunday through Friday, only open on Saturdays, and still closed for lunch--so it seems their scheduling problems continue. If you're considering this location, I'd recommend looking elsewhere unless their hours improve and they can hire a committed and reliable chiropractor!

I went to my doctor and they did an ultrasound and took xrays, the did blood work, analyzed my mobility, and they couldn't find anything. Told me to take ibuprofen and tylenol for the pain and that was that. Thankfully, I was referred to Back To Life, and Ali specifically by my coach to whom I had been complaining due to the pain of various exercises. At this point I was so desperate for help and just didn't know what to do. This sounds made up, but after two sessions, the pain subsided. It still hurt, but it seemed as though it was improving. After three sessions, the pain no longer woke me up at night and I stopped wearing compression sleeves and took far less pain killers. After the fourth session, the pain just evaporated. It's been a couple of months now and there is absolutely no pain. I honestly cannot thank Dr. Ali Khoshbin enough. He quite literally took away the pain that I had been suffering from for weeks. I had back problems prior to the accident that I was not aware of either and Dr Scott B Shephard was able to find all the issues. My spine is curved and Dr Scott B Shephard is working on my curvature. He was able to adjust my back and I feel a massive difference every time, I feel like my body is straightening out painlessly. I googled PI/ MVA Chiro/LMT clinics and found this place, which I chose b/c it was down the street from my house and so happy I did! First off, the ladies at the front desk are so nice! They are incredibly patient with your scheduling needs, cancellations, check-in's for appointments, etc. Second, I've had the pleasure to work with every LMT, who've I've absolutely enjoyed! I love the fact that they are all such individuals, with their their own personality and techniques. Before every appointment, they would ask "how are you feeling" and confirm any "problem spots". It always made me felt heard and while they have their own techniques, they always ask throughout the massage if your comfortable/in any pain/ etc. They always make sure you're warm with a heating pad, music, water, or want to try cupping. Lastly, I had the pleasure to briefly work with Dr. Sam, and then mostly with Dr. Julianne. At the beginning I was absolutely terrified of "chiro" work. She changed how I feel about it and I'm so grateful for her. She was extremely patient with my fear and taught me different levels of adjustments and what worked for me. Every appt she was so kind and tentative, while taking her time, by asking me q's about pain levels, mobility/flexibility. I've learned a lot about in clinic and at home PT and stretches, that I will continue to utilized on a daily base for on-going self care and strength.
