I gave them a full initial overview of my medical history and related family medical history so they would have as detailed a personal medical history as possible. They went over the various treatment options that they could perform to treat my conditions which relieved my initial apprehension. I had a massage with Martin today and I appreciate his thorough care from asking if the pressure was comfortable to which areas hurt and at what scale, so he could work on all areas but increased the areas that needed more. I have been going to Oregon Spine and Disc for a few years. The staff is very nice. However I have noticed that the service is lately rushed and it feels a little bit chaotic. They are not nearly as thorough as they used to be when I started. A few months ago I got to my appointment 5 minutes late...I even had the courtesy to call them and let them know I was on my way. When i got to my appointment they turned me away because I was 5 minutes late even thought I had called them. That was the 1st time I was late. I got to my chiro appointment ON TIME after my wonderful massage (those are always great), and they had me waiting almost 15 minutes. I get it they were busy, and I didn't mind waiting, but what makes mad is that they didn't extend the same courtesy to me when I called them and told them I was going to be 5 minutes late...they just turned me away "because the appointments are so short, we cannot wait for patients...we have to keep a schedule". Well, people, it has to work both ways! I also have a schedule to keep. read more

Today was my first time at Oregon Spine and Disc. I was overly surprised by not only the great service but also the relaxing and inviting atmosphere. My massage therapist was attentive to my needs and did a great job focusing on my trouble spots. After my massage I went next door for chiropractor. Once in the room I was questioned about my history and when the doctor arrived she gave me a full body exam, something I'd never had in past clinics. I was very impressed by the exam and the treatment that followed. I'm very excited for my next appointment and would highly recommend the clinic to family and friends. I came here after a recommendation from a friend. I was sceptical at first, but I tried it out~ This was only my 2nd visit with Dr. Deerborn and she is really awesome! I tweaked my lower back and I've always had back problems but I really believe in chiropractic treatment & I trust Dr. Deerborn. At this visit, I saw Allen for a massage and he worked on my glutes and lower back pressure points and I felt so much better afterwards. The "Oregon Spine and Disc" gave me back my life. I was able to Walk maybe one block or Stand for five minutes before I had treatments from the Oregon Spine and Disc. I would then have to rest my back before I could continue for another short distance. We visited the "Oregon Spine and Disc" and had a MRI on my spine and was determined I was a candidate for treatments they offered. This Treatment was ten times less costly than Surgery. After the treatments were completed I was and today able to hike five miles with no pain. I encourage everyone to have a consultation with the "Oregon Spine and Disc" before Surgery. I was told by my primary care that I would have to have spinal surgery, I am caregiver to my mother so I couldn't see myself as going through with the surgery. I researched other options and came across Dr Hamlin office. I figured what do I have to lose let's see if this will work. I came in to his office with multiple problems ... herniated disc, frozen shoulder and carpal tunnel. I was in excruciating pain, I would wake up all hours of the night in pain, and I was taking pain medicine that would never help. To be lightly touched was painful so everyday task and activity was difficult but I still had to care for my handicapped mother. I started spinal decompression therapy with Dr Hamlin and after two weeks of therapy I was able to get a full nights sleep (it was amazing) I no longer take pain medicine and my range of motion in my right shoulder and arm is almost like normal (still working on the frozen shoulder). The Dr's and staff here are the greatest they welcome you like you are family and treat you like family. I only see them once a month, now, just for regular maintenance, but it was one of the best investments I have ever made. I know every patient is different and everyone heals in different ways but it's worth the try to be pain free. Dr. Hamlin and the staff are absolutely great. I've had chronic back pain for so long that I forgot what it feels like to be out of pain. The pain is not completely gone (lots of sports injuries), but I have my life back and I'm not taking any pain meds! He recently diagnosed that I had thoracic outlet syndrome after I took a hard fall while skiing. He then gave me a complete treatment plan and instructed me on what to do at home. That was only a month ago and I actually played golf the other day while on vacation! They also have some very cool decompression machines that are designed to help repair a disc hernia. If you have any type of back or neck issue, or just want to go in for a massage and maintenance, you can't go wrong at this place. read more
