I've been going to The Joint for over 10 years, and one of the things I love most is the drop-in option. It works perfectly with my busy work schedule and mom life. When I first started coming, I saw Dr. Jeff Otto at the Cedar Hills location. He was incredibly kind, always listened, and somehow made the five minutes he spent with me feel like thirty. After Dr. Jeff left, I never quite found another chiropractor who made me feel the same way--until I met Dr. Kent. I know the doctors at The Joint see a lot of patients every day because of the walk-in model, but Dr. Kent always made me feel like more than just another appointment. No matter how much time had passed between visits, he would ask how my twins were doing and remember details about my life. That personal touch meant a lot to me. Dr. Kent never made me feel like a number. If the clinic wasn't busy, he would take extra time to help stretch out my very tight muscles and address my concerns. I always left feeling better, not just physically, but because I felt genuinely cared for. Dr. Kent gave me the same level of compassion and attention that I experienced with Dr. Jeff all those years ago. Because of that, I plan to follow Dr. Kent whatever location he is at. The person at the front desk is a teenager she made me feel uncomfortable/awkward for not wanting to get a payment plan. She doesn't know what she is doing. The teenager pursued to get us to get on a plan but didn't tell us there was a specific amount of months we had to pay. Around $50! just for a walk in? and the service doesn't last 2 minutes. I appreciate that Dr. Harris treated me after discussing my issues and concerns. After the 1st adjustment, I could feel the difference. I look forward to my subsequent treatment. I just tried to go here for an adjustment and immediately the receptionist snapped at me because I was putting my mask on literally the moment I stepped inside (the door hadn't even closed behind me) instead of one step earlier when I was still outside, which I thought was uncalled for considering that I was voluntarily putting it on right away and with the mask mandate lifted it's easy to forget that it's still required in healthcare settings. She then proceeded to angrily tell me that I couldn't be seen for an adjustment because they needed more time for an initial appointment and they were near closing. This is frustrating in and of itself, because that information is not clearly conveyed on their website. But it was even more frustrating because she was extremely rude about telling me that and did not provide with any information about when the clinic reopened, other locations, or basically anything that could have been helpful. I honestly have never been treated with such overt rudeness and hostility by a stranger on my first visit somewhere and I have no desire to come back to this clinic again ever. I have no idea what their receptionist's problem is but I don't think she should be taking it out on other people, especially not patients in pain looking to get relief. read more

All of the regulations are understood and respected. As soon as we became aware of them we asked for an accommodation that was REFUSED by your staff. Her exact words were "we'd have to clear the treatment room and we aren't able to do that". Why, I have no idea, y'all were not busy and it was close to closing time. I'm guessing that's why and it's just NOT ok. It's awful to have to choose between physical and mental health. Your team could have done better, they chose not to. What wasn't well received was being yelled at by your receptionist. Based on other reviews online that seems to be a continuous problem with her. read more

The place is like a fast food joint they want you in and out as fast as they can get you in and out. They don't take time to treat you like an individual. I got good case of whiplash from the chiropractor who adjusted my neck way too hard...twice. He was in such a hurry to get to the next person he could care less. I ended up in the ER on Christmas day getting IV's and CAT scans. Terrible experience! Don't do it. Go to a real chiropractor. I will have issues with my neck for awhile as a result. Be wary folks. The one I went to is on Hillsboro, Oregon. Now let's see if they will let me out of my contract. I will update that situation. UPDATE- they were very apologetic and graciously let me out of my contract. I was impressed. I will up my review from 1 star to 3 as a result. read more

Pros: Friendly, professional staff and Drs. I went to the Cedar Hills location. For my first consultation everything was discussed thoroughly and fears were eased. Check ins are a breeze and only had to be informed once about a wait due to back to back new patients ahead of me. No biggie, I just ran errands and came back. Cons: To cancel membership you have to physically go in to sign a cancellation or have the form emailed to you vs calling to cancel. Also, they do the same adjustments on everybody it seems. I am uneducated when it comes to adjustments, but would some need a more tailored adjustment based on what they come in for? Finally, I would have loved more education on prevention tips or things I can do at home, even if it was just a few handouts or brochures. Although it didn't work out for me, I would still recommend them. Environment is nice, convenient and staff is great. Keep in mind that sometimes it is just not the right treatment for what really is the issue behind your pain. I ended up having my back go out even after a few chiropractic treatments. Turns out I have degenerative disc disease at age 32. For me, physical therapy works better and now I am pain free. PT gave me a world of knowledge of what is good and bad for the back for a life time of prevention. It would have been nice for the chiropractor to do the same instead of just having you back for multiple visits without recommending tips on how to prevent injuries in the first place. read more

After spending the entire afternoon at urgent care and getting zero answers for what I thought were kidney pains I decided to try going to a chiropractor for the first time. I walked in as a first time patient and was seen within 20 minutes. The receptionist was so kind and reassuring. I was extremely nervous due to watching an unnecessary amount of back popping videos on YouTube, but the doctor was amazing! He walked me through every step and explained what I would experience. In the end it was my ribs, and he definitely helped! I cannot recommend this location enough, especially for anyone who has never seen a chiropractor before. read more

Doctors are great. Staff are just OK. They recently started to make it a chiropractic factory where you get no privacy during your adjustment. There are multiple other customers sitting there watching you! Went in today and it was really busy. There was an employee standing in the back area supposedly to direct traffic flow. A couple of us had been waiting about 15 minutes when some ignorant guy checked in and walked right back to the adjustment area. The employee standing there did nothing. That guy was put on the table and worked on while we were still sitting in the waiting area. WTF!! Thinking about canceling my membership plan. read more

This is possibly the worst adjustment I've ever received. I have a history of back issues, and after getting a puppy, I over did it playing with him and needed an adjustment ASAP. I had just moved, and hadn't established care with a new chiropractor yet, so after a recommendation from a co worker, I thought I'd try this place, because I REALLY needed some help. The staff was sweet and quite lovely, actually. They were nice to talk to and smiled and were pleasant in a general way. Too bad I wasn't going in for some pleasant conversation. Nope, I was there to be adjusted, and that is where everything went WRONG. The "chiropractor" took me behind a wall that separated the reception area from the rest of the store, but was quite viable from the lobby, to a series of tables, all adjustment tables, and all about 4 feet apart. Apparently they want you to be adjusted at the same time as someone else and in full view. The guy, Kevin, I think his name was, started to "adjust" me in the strangest ways I've ever been adjusted. I'm sorry, but I don't think its normal to use your Knee to adjust my low back/hip area. That is just wrong. In the end, after 10 minutes of doing some really strange things to my back and hips, he pushed me into a sitting position which made all the muscles in my back freeze. I was in such intense pain, it hurt to breathe, but he forced me up and out of the back area so he could help someone else. Then because they don't take insurance, they want you to buy some package for additional visits. I'm sorry, I'm NOT going to buy something I'm not only never going to use, and refuse to endorse. The kicker is that the next day I was able to get into a friend's chiropractor in Tigard (a bit of a drive away) and he honestly fixed me up. I was able to walk for the first time in a week when I left his office. Guess there is a difference between a real Chiropractor and some "on demand" strip mall chiropractor. This guy is a menace, and when I went to their Facebook page to get some answers, my post was quickly deleted and they responded to others posts instead. This place is a joke. Its a waste of money and time and its bad for your heath. To say that I am angry is an understatement. I hope this place goes under, because they're doing way more harm than good! read more

The Chiropractors I saw where fine, my compliant is the automatic charge. I purchased the two months for $69.00 and told the front desk I wanted to fill out the cancellation form right now because that is all I wanted. I filled out the form and she assured me my credit card would only be charged the two months. Well, I had to call them today since they charged me a 3rd payment. She apologized and will credit me back. It happend once again at the Cedar Hills office as well. I went in for the $29.00 first visit then before I knew it they were putting a contract in front of me I had to ask what it was? $69. a month and you can come in I believe 4xs a month and so on. I told the lady this wasn't discussed with me. And, I would think about it. Found out later they charged me again $69.00 I had to call that office and they apologized again and credit my card back. I have to say... I so dislike! The bait and switch! So deceiving it seems to me! Hate automatic payments, i feel business are hoping you overlook it and it's worth it to them since they make up funds with the client that overlooks it. Great experience and even better results for me. I came in barely being able to walk and walked out feeling 70% better. Doctor Kevin gathered as much information as he could from me and then got to work. I was in fairly strong pain and within a few minutes I could already feel the huge improvements. Afterwards it wasn't a simple "ok we're done come back again" but actually giving me information! He explained what my issue was and how to best heal it. Not only by visiting them but actually doing things in my everyday that promote health and my healing. Thank goodness they finally opened here a few months ago. I've been going to The Joint for years now. I think I have been to around over 25 of their locations, in Texas, California, and now here. I heard they are about to open one in Timberland just if the freeway. I love that when I travel I can just go online and find the closest clinic to where I'm at and just walk in without an appointment, my medical records come right up after they check me in with my 'FOB' key and the Doctor there reviews my previous visits before he or she calls me in. Very disappointing! I live a little over an hour away from this location and was in desperate need of an adjustment. Before I drove that distance I made sure to call and get all the necessary information. I spoke with receptionist and she assured me that if I got there before 315 that they would be able to get me in no problem. We discussed cost and that there may be a 15 to 30 minute wait time. I arrive there at 2:00 PM and I introduce myself and told her I was there for an adjustment. She looks at me and says I'm sorry we will not be able to fit you in today. I looked at her stunned and told her that I had spoke with her on the phone and she told me that if I was there by 3:15 I would be fine and I was an hour and 15 minutes ahead of that time. She Sighed and said I guess we can squeeze you in but it will be a two hour wait. I couldn't believe how unprofessional they were! Clearly inconsiderate of others time and will tell you whatever you want to hear in order to get you there in hopes that you will stay. It's just a factory and it's about quantity not quality to them. I told her she must be joking and left. I would look elsewhere For a chiropractor. Dr. Young was filling in at another location but i will be back to him because he's actually practicing closer to my work. In my very strong opinion He gave me the most efficient adjustment after hearing about my lifestyle (arms above my head for 5 hours a day walking on people) & what i was struggling with that day- nausea. We are all in need of a change in our bodies when we feel terrible & i fealt the change after my 1st appt with Dr. Young. Ive also got to note that ive been Adjusted by 7 other highly skilled chiropractors & i did not feel like this was a personal injury mill where i am adjusted just like the last 100 ppl. Yeah the getting adjusted by a stranger is a bit of a HIPAA issue for me but i dont feel like i need to be afraid to say that i have nausea or pelvic pain around someone that i dont know because i dont give a fuck what a stranger thinks if they want to judge my pain. It would be cool if you had some privacy curtains like at the 911 hospital's. Im just happy that for $69 i get 4 adjustments a month & $10 each after that for more a than 4 a month. For those of you who haven't had to pay out of pocket for a chiro appt its actually about that price for ONE visit at $45-$55 & some chiropractors that CHARGE THAT MUCH ALSO take auto injury patients all day or private insurance which causes BURN OUT for those DC body workers so you arent ALWAYS getting a good quality adjustment at those places. They might be the best thing yet for everyone in need of quality adjustments SO PLEASE GO SEE Dr. Young. Just visited the the orenco station location and met Dr. Kevin McCausland . Glad I did, His approach and method were far beyond and above what I've found in my traditional chiropractors office.
