I had my reservations that anyone would be able to break my eldest of her extreme fear of water or my youngest of her timidity. But, with her patience and persistence, Ms. Paige had them enjoying the water in no time! We have been swimming year-round with her for the past three years. Not because my children haven't learned how to swim, but because the LOVE it! Paige is unique in that she teaches each child as an individual, working with their own personality style and skill level. Over the years I have seen her interact with many different children. She has a gift with special needs kids. She can accomodate unusual requests, like blending groups of swimmers so that siblings and friends can be in the same class, if desired. To me, learning to swim is as important as wearing a seat belt. It is a life-saving skill every child needs to learn. The location page highlights simple monthly prices (for example, $120 based on a 4‑week month billed monthly per class), but it does not clearly state, in plain language on that same screen, that: - You will be **charged immediately at enrollment** for a full month of tuition, even if your first lesson is weeks away, and - Ongoing tuition is then **billed in advance** of future months. I only understood what happened after I went searching and eventually found SafeSplash's Terms & Conditions / School Policies page. That page is not obvious from the location or pricing section; you either have to notice a generic "School Policies" link in the footer or go hunting via search. Once you get there, the key billing information is buried deep in a long, legal‑style document, written in dense policy language instead of clear, parent‑friendly English. Buried in that text is the explanation that they take your first month of tuition at enrollment and then bill monthly on the 25th for the following month's lessons. That policy might be acceptable if it were plainly disclosed where parents actually sign up. The problem--and the reason for this review--is how hard it is to discover and understand these terms before you see a charge. Lee became the second Korean in a row to win this event. Sung Kang won in 2019. The tournament wasn't held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lee and Kang joined Sang-moon Bae, who won in 2013, as three Koreans to win the AT&T Byron Nelson in the last eight times the tournament was staged. Over that stretch, Australian Steven Bowditch and Spaniard Sergio Garcia won in 2015 and 2016, respectively, with Americans Brendon Todd (2014), Billy Horschel (2017), and Aaron Wise (2018) covering the other years. The other three are the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Memorial Tournament (Jack Nicklaus), and the Genesis Invitational (Tiger Woods). The API, Memorial, and Genesis Invitational are slightly higher in status than the AT&T Byron Nelson. For example, those three tournaments are invitationals with slightly smaller and more selective fields. The Byron Nelson is a "regular" Tour event with standard qualifying. Also, as of 2021, those three tournaments award 550 FedEx Cup points to the winner. The Byron Nelson awards the standard 500 points. Finally, the API and Memorial award three-year Tour exemptions as opposed to the standard two years that this tournament awards. All that said, outside of the majors, The Players Championship, WGC (World Golf Championships) events, FedEx Cup playoff events, the aforementioned invitationals, and the CJ Cup (okay, that *is* 14 tournaments; the Tour schedule is just packed), as of 2021, the AT&T Bryon Nelson is tied with the Wells Fargo Championship with the highest purse at $8.1 million. It's good money, especially for the caliber of field that has typically competed in this event, certainly in recent years. The fields at the AT&T Byron Nelson typically don't include a lot of the biggest names, mainly because this event immediately precedes the PGA Championship. Previously, it was the event that immediately followed The Players. The AT&T Byron Nelson supports the Momentous Institute. Since aligning itself with Byron Nelson in 1968, the tournament has raised $167 million for the institute which "exists to build and repair social emotional health with children, families, and communities." Of all the tournaments on Tour, I believe the Byron Nelson has raised more funds for charitable causes than any other tournament.
