Hitting up a double feature today!

I seriously 100% LOVE Megaplex and will go to my grave saying it's the best movie theater ever. Here's why: All Megaplex Theaters have points you can earn by simply providing them with your rewards card or better yet, phone number. I haven't paid for popcorn or drinks for quite a while--not only because of the rewards I've stacked up personally but also the random emails and rewards they send out because they love their customers. All Megaplex Theaters have $5 Tuesday, which also correlates with cheap popcorn, drinks, and nachos. (Ranging from $1-$3). And the best part? If you use their app you don't get charged any online convenience fee. (Unfortunately if you go online, you do, so just download it now it won't take up too much room on your phone). WOOT WOOT PARTY PARTY. All Megaplex Theaters have delicious food and comfortable seating. Luxury Loungers? CHECK. D-Box? CHECK. Even their regular peasant seats (which I will happily sit in) are spacious, slightly reclined, and have plenty of leg room. I'd also recommend their loaded nachos with pork and a shake to wash everything down. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you choose. This one specifically is a little more quaint, but still have a ton of options and movie times to choose from. It's in a convenient location. TIPS & TRICKS: * Typically the parking lot is fairly full, so wear your best shoes and be prepared to get your walk on.

The chairs recline and heat and they have footrests!

My friend rented out a theater today and invited my kids and me to come along! All staff and guests were in masks. The line for food was socially distanced. The popcorn was the rights amounts of buttery and salty. My kids loved their Icees. The chairs were super comfortable. I liked that I could change the angle throughout the movie when my neck started to get stiff. And everything was super clean in the theater and the bathroom!

One of the best places to watch a new action, romance, drama, kids movie-- you name it!! I love this theater, because you are able to reserve seats when you buy your ticket so you will certainly sit by your friends and family. This theater also has a higher level of cleanliness that most movie theaters lack. I love their comfortable seating which includes lots of cushion, arm rests, and enough room to not feel squished by those you sit next to. This theater has wonderful movie screen quality and their speakers are at the perfect volume-- so you get sucked into the movie every time.

    Star wars night!

In all honesty it has been a long time since I've gone to a movie theater--they have assigned seating now? Why didn't we do this years ago? I went to this megaplex for opening night of Star Wars. I have to say, I was impressed. The movie theater was clean; the seats were large, spacious, and comfortable; and the popcorn was delicious. Our only problem, really, was finding parking on such a crazy night. As for Star Wars . . . well, I won't get into that can of redundant worms :)

Flash finally got to come see himself on the big screen! He was so excited!

When we've visited, we were either one of two lanes in use, or the only lane in use. They seem to still have some bugs to work out with their processes and systems. When we checked in the first time, they struggled at the counter and had to get a least two different employees to help us. The second time, they didn't get the time correct for what we paid for so we were worried the lane would shutdown before we could complete our games. Ultimately, it wasn't without some repeated trips to the counter during our bowling. While bowling, there were additional issues. We bowled on different lanes each time we visited. But both lanes had similar issues with not recording one person's score correctly which delayed our play, but didn't stop the time clock from ticking away our bowling time. Each error had to be corrected at the counter and not by us at the lane terminal which was frustrating. Another issue was that our balls, which were those supplied by the facility, would periodically get stuck in the ball return which again delayed our play and we had to fetch an employee to come and clear the balls. There is a snack bar and alcoholic beverage bar near the bowling area, but both times we were there, the staff did not man that area and we had to go to the front counter to get an employee who was old enough to serve alcohol to come back to the counter and serve us. This again took way too much time and delayed our play. In the end, we didn't feel like we got our money's worth due to the challenges with the scoring, ball return, and service issues. We may consider other venues if we choose to go bowling again.

The prices here are outrageous, and I do not mean that isn't good, just more than I like to pay at times. Plus, we wanted tacos anyway. After that, we rushed back to the theater and thought we had 20 mins of previews. To find out we did not, we were 6 minutes into a fight scene, and we were like, hum, that is strange. We have no idea what is going on. Anyway, we sat in our seats and watched the 2-hour show. It was good overall and had some great parts and some okay parts. The place is clean and easy to get to, and the staff was friendly. After the show, we talked to them and found out the projector was having some issues; they invited us back for another show, which was great on their part. They did say that it was other shows as well and they are looking into it. That is why I did not dock them too much. If you want a fun-filled movie adventure, come here. They have snacks, drinks, ice cream, pizza, and more. It is a little spend but worth it. They also have places where you can take pics sometimes and a place to hang out massage chairs in the lobby. It's like 5$ for a massage, which is not bad these days compared to some. There are other places nearby. If you need anything else and freeway access is easy to get home, just be careful the turns at night can be interesting, and there is a lot of traffic, so plan accordingly. Happy going to the show! It's mostly an automated concession stand so be ready for that. Service was slow that day to get popcorn and a cup for soda. It was on a Sunday. I think Sundays might just be a slow day. The entrance to the movie was easy to locate. The seats were a bit tricky to locate in the dark. The advertisements had already began so the lights were out. There were many advertisements and movie previews to sit through before Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning began. Be aware of that delay. The seats are deep and luxurious. I sunk into the seat and felt very comfortable throughout the movie. They had sliding tables for each seat in the row I sat in to put food on while enjoying the movie. I was glued to the screen much of the time. Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning is action packed. I did use a restroom once during the film. The restroom was somewhat easy to locate. There are signs up near the ceiling by the restroom doors. Only problem was that the water for the sinks to wash my hands in did not dispense water. No water for the sinks! So I had to use an anti-bacteria foam dispenser by the door to clean my hands after using the restroom. One other suggestion. The air conditioning that day was excellent at the concession stand. However, inside the individual movie theater, it was too warm. Just a suggestion to turn the air conditioning up a bit more. It was hot outside when I was there.

The seats are old movie seats so they are comfortable, they are arranged in tiers so you have a clear view of the screen, the screen is an adequate size, the projection and sound is clear, the ticket holder and waitlist lines are indoors and out of the cold, and there's a snack bar in the lobby. Even better, there's a free shuttle bus stop directly outside the door and the terrific Grub Steak restaurant across the street. Clean, large restrooms too. What's not to love?

Everywhere I walk I've got FIVE STARS on the brain. Night two of "high culture" at the festival is in the books & I gotta say I feel about 10lbs smarter already. Prospector Square is far more intimate than Eccles Theatre so the lines aren't nearly as long & you don't have to stand in the cold. They also offer concessions while you wait and you can bring your goodies into the show! Eccles seats a little over 1300 people & is JAM PACKED for each showing. Prospector Square seats about 360 movie fans. My guess is if your film plays at Prospector Square during Sundance, it's like making the JV squad in high school. Coach Redford gives you a pat on the butt and says - "You're getting there little buddy. Now go home, practice dribbling with your left hand and come back when you're four inches taller." I didn't really know what to expect sitting down for this film. The Hollywood businessman who brought me to Sundance told me that "all of these films are kind of the same." I hate to say it but he was wrong! While this film was ALSO very slow, methodically paced & dramatic, the miserable situation was COMPLETELY different. This film dealt with a bastard fisherman who suffered from severe muscular dystrophy and lived with his poverty stricken mother who forbid him from spending time with his childhood love. AND it was in Spanish! Talk about ART! I think most of the foreign films play at this theater (JV). There's something about subtitles that just thrusts the misery of a situation right out into the audience. It's tricky watching subtitles, though. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to being paying attention to the faces the actors are making or the little text that's shooting across the screen. Sometimes I get confused & start making my own faces while reading the dialogue. No matter how I handle it I know I'm smarter for trying. They had a Q&A w cast and crew but I didn't stick around. I was exhausted from reading. Hola Amigo! You'll get 'em next year. So much culture. Prospector Square gets FIVE STARS!!

Nearly everyone we interacted with gave off grouchy vibes. I get it, it's the holiday season and there are lots of kids, but there's not need to be a jerk and ruin the moviegoers' experience. I could also complain about having to sit through 20 minutes of commercials and a further 15 minutes of previews before the movie began, but that's not unique to this location; it's the industry norm now.
