I was wearing a skirt and he noticed a mole on my leg, told me to come back for an exam. It was positive for melanoma, and a bit more serious than my husband's. Had he not noticed it and removed it, I'd be dead. Really. We both still see dr k at least a couple of times per year - he's a good guy! I looked at some of the other reviews and am wondering why you go to the dermatologist, to chat with the office staff or to receive medical attention? I see him to deal with a life threatening cancer. He answers every question I ask, tells me what all of the medical terminology means, and always spends a lot of time with me, reviewing every mole. I've been on the end of his scalpel many times, and I trust him absolutely. Oh, I've been in the office probably at least a dozen times, I've never met a male PA, so I'm wondering if that review is even for this office (our billing is fine, they send a bill, I pay it). After all of these times, I don't know the office staff's names (shame on me, I guess), but I find it surprising that people are mentioning a receptionist of a doctor they saw once...? So - pros: caring, intelligent, good listener, solo practitioner, you go there, you see Dr Kamath. I was referred to Dr. Youker in late May of 2017 for a large barbell keloid that had grown on my…read moreright earlobe. Before my appointment I had been to other doctors who told me keloids were impossible to treat and that there was nothing they could do. This was a low point for me because although I know there are far worse problems in the world, I was so self-conscious that I never wore my hair up and was constantly trying any possible remedy I read about (tea tree oil, lavender oil, scar away strips) and nothing helped. Then came my first visit to Dr. Youker's office. From the minute I walked in the atmosphere was amazing. The office staff was friendly and helpful and everyone was genuinely supportive of my issue. I was a little embarrassed because there were patients with much more serious concerns than me but my keloid was never trivialized. I was treated as though I was as important as every other patient. Dr. Youker developed a plan with me which involved shaving down the keloid, injections, a cream to eliminate the keloid and pressure earrings the compress it and keep it from returning. July 5, 2017 was my appointment for the "surgery" and it went well. She even took the time to personally call me that night at home to make sure I was doing okay. I continued to go back every 4-6 weeks for follow-up appointments to monitor the recovery process. Every time I entered the office I was greeted by all the staff. I never even had to tell them who I was, they just would start the process of checking me in. Even my primary care doctor's office isn't this attentive and I've been going to them for most of my life. I wish I still remembered everyone's name but I'll just say every single person made my day when I went for my appointments. Their kindness and incredible work have led to better results than I could have ever hoped for back in May. I included a picture (where I forgot to hide my ear) and one of my ear as of today. Anyone out there who is dealing with stubborn and out of control keloids, I recommend Dr. Youker and only wish I could give more than 5 stars! If I have any dermatology concerns in the future, I will definitely return to this office.

She then began the microneedling, but only stamped the device 2-3 times on my cheeks and forehead before stopping and going back to cleaning. I was confused and asked if the treatment was already done, and she said yes. I also noticed that she didn't apply any numbing cream beforehand, which is usually a standard part of the procedure. On top of that, the treatment wasn't done evenly across my face--just a few quick stamps in limited areas. Overall, this did not feel like a proper microneedling session. I would not recommend this place for microneedling, as it seemed like a lack of proper technique and knowledge. It felt like a waste of money.

Office was comfortable and clean and Covid safe. Jennifer went over the procedure very thoroughly and signed one document. She began with a facial to cleanse my face and then started the procedure. It felt like electricity tingle at first but you use the very cold roller to sort of numb your face. There is no pain & complete procedure took about 20 minutes. My treatment left my skin feeling so clean and bright and sun spots seemed lighter. I have two more sessions which I will do two weeks apart and I'm very excited to see the overall results.
