I received a lip flip. I received way more units than I should have. I did not feel listened to. I've gotten a lip flip before from somewhere else and did not have the experience I am having now. I look like I've had a stroke and my upper lip is a million miles long. This did not happen to me before. I told Kristina that the place she was doing it was not where I had it injected previously (around my nose), I really wasn't sure about doing it there (said this plenty of times) and she did it anyway. I also told her it turned out a little heavy on one side last time, and Kristina made it heavy on both sides. Max effects are at 20 days, I'm ~5 days out and I am horrified. My stomach drops when I see myself. I don't recognize myself. I hate my smile. I know this is not just the lip flip, because I liked it before. This is not how it looked before. Last time, I was told "smile" "make a face" etc so the injector knew where to inject. This is a normal thing. Kristina did NOT do this, was not precise, and poked me so QUICK, like right after she asked me a question and I was still answering -- I felt like I was going to puke because I was so shocked by the experience. This was my third time at a med spa. I know what is usually like. After, while I waited to be checked out in the lobby, I had no follow up care (ice or anything cold) like I've had before. As soon as she poked me it was like she wanted to rush me out the door. I went to the bathroom and got a paper towel with cold water because my lips were hurting (the pain was phenomenal by the way, but I did have caffeine beforehand which you're not supposed to do). I left and I bawled and regretted everything because I knew in my gut something wrong had happened, and this was going to be bad. I was right. I do not recommend this injector. If you live in Davis, go somewhere else. It's worth the drive to Sacramento or anywhere else. I am so upset and can't believe this will be how I look for several more months. Horrified. read more

Hey there everyone... My sister has been looking into get a Chemical peel, and settled on this business in Davis. The staff? Great, professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. The ambience is lovely...very welcoming. My sister had Maribel as her esthetician, she was really calming, asking if you feel okay, very concerned about how you are feeling...whether, you be nervous, anxious, in any discomfort. A really lovely person and we felt very comfortable with her. The office is really calming, and beautifully decorated. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The procedure, called a VI Peel, cost $ 340, took about 20/25 minutes. My sister felt no discomfort and was comfortable during the procedure. Maribel recommended 3 sessions to get the ultimate result, waiting at least 30 days between sessions. We were sent home with everything needed to complete the process. All in all, a really positive experience and I would recommend this business. read more

I used to work with many fine injectors in Las Vegas as a medical assistant. I moved from Las Vegas to Davis and was in search of a good injector. I did some research and visited a couple injectors out here but they do not compare to Christina. Christina really listens and takes her time when you consult with her. She makes sure that we're on the same page as what you want. I have had past filler from elsewhere dissolved by Christina because I was unhappy with the look. She dissolved me and I feel so much more confident and I look natural again. She fixed some asymmetry I had on my lips with a half syringe of Volbella and they look absolutely natural. I'm currently in the middle of a six session treatment for my lower face here, and I really love this place. They fit me in for a consult the day after I emailed them and were totally transparent about pricing and what they thought was best for me. They seem to really care about their clients and immediately asked if I wanted something to drink when I walked in for my consult. They also know me already by name with just one visit. I also had my first session, and it was great. Not painless, but very comfortable for what was being done. Plus, I already notice a huge difference after one session. They also threw in my unibrow for free even though I am only doing lower face, because I mentioned that the only reason I wanted to do my full face was for that purpose. She gave honest advice on both and does not push you to do things to make a profit. My visit to Nouvelle Medical Aesthetics changed my life. I was experiencing a terrible hormonal breakout all over my face. I tried over the counter medications and natural remedies but nothing worked. I then began searching for a dermatologist when I came across Nouvelle Medispa. I sent an email explaining my condition and my concerns about products that work well for brown-skinned people. Christina responded and suggested I make an appointment for a consultation. I was initially skeptical, but I made an appointment anyway because I was desperate. I felt very ugly with the acne and the hyperpigmentation on my face. During my visit the ladies in the office were all wonderful and made me feel very comfortable. Christina and Hina both suggested that I try the VI Peel. I had never gotten a chemical peel before so it would be my first. I chose to do a series of three treatments over 3-4 months. After the first VI Peel I saw a significant improvement. By the time I did the third VI Peel treatment my face was nearly clear. I also purchased the Obagi Clear and Obagi C Serum. Hina also suggested I begin a daily regimen for improving and maintaining my skin which I follow religiously. Today my face is nearly flawless. I'm so excited about my new and improved skin. I have waited 2 years to write this review because I wanted to wait and see how effective the laser hair removal I got done would be. As a South Asian woman (Pakistani to be specific) hairiness is just in the genes. My first time, I got the happy trail area on my stomach done (finished those sessions a year ago & I pretty much have no hair there other than very light sparse hair) and right now I'm currently on my 4th or so session of Brazilian/bikini area and thighs. I noticed a reduction of hair after every session (including the first) and especially by the 4th/5th out of 6 sessions. If I wasn't seeing as much of a difference in one small spot, Christina would make adjustments to ensure that the next time I did. She always listened to feedback and wanted to make sure I was seeing a reduction in hair. I am very happy with my results and so so glad I chose nouvelle to have laser hair removal done at (I had a friend who paid less elsewhere through a groupon deal and her results were not good at all so I was pretty apprehensive about not noticing a difference). I was also worried that I would see most of the hair growth return but I have not. Lastly, like many other reviews have said, Christina and her staff are very kind and provide great customer care which I really appreciate. I've had several treatments here including Botox, Juvederm, and micro needling with plasma. Christina is a magician with a needle! My jawline is smooth (juvederm) and my hard-to-get forehead lines have disappeared with her Botox injections. I have a habit of using my forehead muscles to raise my eyebrows because I have hooded eyes, and Christina is able to smooth out my wrinkles without giving me the silent film star look. My thin lips get just the right amount of filler so I don't have the weird turned up top lip going on. The micro needling with plasma smoothed out my skin tone and fine lines (I did a series). Her assistant is really good at numbing but I skip it because I just want to get it over with and the needles are so fine, it's really not that bad! So there. I've told all my secrets. I was lying around thinking about when I should have my last laser appointment, and I realized I have not reviewed Nouvelle Medical Aesthetics! In all honesty, I created this account just to recommend this place. When I came in for my consultation over a year ago, it was still called Davis Laser Center and undergoing new management. I came in asking about laser hair removal as I had been having a very tough time in life. I was so depressed and so ashamed of my appearance that it was affecting my life. I'd done obsessive research on LHR, and Nouvelle Medical Aesthetics was the only nearby place that provided it. I'm glad I made the decision to go because my life turned around completely. First of all: The place is beautiful--I'm glad I was around to see the process. Planned out and designed by Christina herself, it has the look and feel of a high-end spa. The name is beautiful, the color choices perfect, the chairs, the plants, the front desk... everything fits into place aesthetically. If I can recall correctly, Christina even has some peaceful music playing in the waiting room. You will not feel your money going to waste here. Second: The staff there are beautiful, inside and out. Although I only ever met Christina (who performed all the operations), and Andrea(?) at the front desk, I can genuinely say I love everyone I met. Being so self conscious about my appearance, I was afraid of being judged when I opened up, but that was not the case. Christina was so understanding of me and my struggles, I began to see her as a friend. I can tell she cared about me. We would talk about many random things during the laser appointments to pass the time. She will ask time and time again how I was handling the pain, because laser HURTS (but it is tolerable). She'd also ask about how well I recovered from my last appointment, and how much energy I thought I could handle in my next. Also, she is a woman of God. If you're a Christian (or even not), and you're looking for someone to talk to about religion and Christianity, she's the go to woman for you! Third: Let's be real... Laser is expensive... but Nouvelle Medical Aesthetics makes it affordable. You can choose to pay for each session separately or pay in advance for a pack of sessions. They also have summer deals worth considering if you're a college student like me and can't even afford to put bread on the table. The only thing that might be troublesome about this place is the parking. Though I never had to deal with it because I bused or walked, the only parking available is the typical downtown 30-min to 3-hour parking slots, and there aren't many. Overall, I love this place... and if life calls for it, I will definitely be coming here again. If I have more hair I want vaporized, or acne scars I want removed, this is my go to clinic. read more
