After recent surgery, they applied a bandage to a good leg that was essentially a tourniquet. When I called them the day after surgery to say her bandaged foot was swelling, they outright refused to see her and said that I had to take her to the ER. I begged several times and explained that she had just had surgery the previous day, but insisted they would not see her and I had to go to the ER. I took her to the ER (VCA Highlands Ranch - rock stars!) and the vet explained the issue was poor vet care - the bandage was too tight. The bandage over the suture was incorrect and the information they gave me on handling fentanyl was incorrect. The ER vet was so bothered by the poor care that she called Greenwood to explain the issues. They also did not even charge me for the care because they were so shocked at the poor treatment. Because of the poor post-surgery treatment, my pup had another 4 weeks of casts on her non surgical leg and almost $1000 in additional vet bills to try to correct Greeenwood's mistake. She likely has a permanent injury and a limp from the care. We are hopeful it will eventually go away, but no luck so far. While they called to say "Sorry" about not seeing her the day after, AND knowing she had additional issues, they never once called to see how she was doing after she had been a patient for 8 years. The lack of professional care and knowledge and basic lack of care for our dog has forced us to change vets.

They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

I brought my 16 year old dog in for an evaluation due to suspected heart failure. After a chest…read morexray and lab draw (pending results) , I was reassured multiple times that she was going to "be fine" and that her condition could be managed by getting her out of heart failure. Based on those assurances and no other reasoning to be concerned per the vet, I agreed to proceed with medical management of the heart failure. I questioned given her age and decline in kidney function if this was the appropriate plan given her age, requesting only comfort for her and quality of life. I again was reassured she would "be fine" with extreme enthusiasm. Less than 24 hours later, I came home to find my dog had died, probably suffering with her breathing , all alone. She had prior kidney damage and now suspected much more severe heart failure , and I strongly feel I was not given an honest or realistic understanding of her prognosis considering her age and condition. Furthermore, when reading the medical records I requested , it was noted that the option to see a cardiologist was discussed (which I did decline), but also which was NOT discussed but documented by vet in the records was the option to admit overnight . Of course I would've done this if it was offered , suggesting this issue is more severe than just a routine medication fix. Had I been properly informed of the severity of her health status and likelihood of rapid decline, I would have chosen her to be admitted over night , but since I wasn't, peaceful euthanasia so I could have been present with her and prevented unnecessary suffering. There was failure to appropriately communicate the seriousness of my dog's condition and end-of-life options which makes me question the integrity of the provider. Was I a bill? Why wasn't I given the full picture and the option to decide which choice to choose to have the final moments with my baby? I was heart broken to say the least and I will forever remain with the guilt that I didn't speak up more for my dog to give her the best options for comfort with her overall health picture. Disclaimer, since I would pay all the money to have my dog back, I still would like to add I paid a substantial amount of money ($878) for false reassurance. I can however say I was reimbursed for the meds which cost $200 which she only had 1 dose of because she died before I could even treat her.

We were able to book appointments over the phone and online, speak with the nurses and doctor prior and say our goodbye's in a quiet and peaceful way. The staff is truly unbelievable in that they are insanely sweet, gentle and sympathetic. They were very professional, explained the process to us and allowed us to mourn as long as we wanted. Pricing is very reasonable for services and an additional outside service has paired with WellHaven to provide proper burial and cremation services for a small cost, while a paw print with your pets name stamped onto it is free of charge. We opted to get both girls' ashes which were ready less than a week later, which came in a beautiful small engraved box, which pairs perfectly next to their tiny paw prints! We also received cards in the mail signed by each member of the WellHaven team which was heartwarming and a very sweet touch. After the evaluation, Dr. Beebe came out and talked to us personally for about 45 minutes explaining procedure options, what he thought was best, and how everything would happen depending on what we decided. After leaving, we were immediately sent PDFs of the treatment plan, estimated cost, and pre-procedure instructions. They got us in the very next week for the procedure and this was where I was most impressed. Before dropping my dog off in the morning, the vet-tech went over procedure details again, medication information, and asked for all phone numbers of people I would like to keep updated. We were able to text this number with any inquiries we had during the time he was there. I dropped my dog off and they created a group chat with the phone numbers I provided to keep us all updated throughout the whole procedure. Then, I received a call as my dog was getting put under anesthesia, three calls during the procedure to inform me of how it was going and about a change of plan due to unknown low integrity of a tooth we had originally wanted to put a crown on, as well as a call when he was waking up to inform us of how he was doing. We brought our puppy to this clinic and he was diagnosed with meningitis…read moreback in November Dr Dopkins did not run any testing or blood work, he quickly diagnosed my puppy with meningitis. He was placed on long-term steroid treatment. After spending approximately $1,500 and keeping my puppy on steroids for close to 3 months. Dr Dobsom wanted my puppy on another month of steroids. My puppy got sick again this past Saturday with a 105 degree temperature. We rushed him the ER (AESC ) A second opinion was determined that the original diagnosis was incorrect and that our puppy should not have been on steroids for this length of time. This experience has been extremely concerning--not only due to the financial cost, but because prolonged, unnecessary steroid use can have serious health consequences. We trusted this clinic with our pet's care and feel that the misdiagnosis led to avoidable treatment and stress. I strongly encourage pet owners to seek a second opinion if faced with a serious diagnosis and long-term medication plan.
