I went in at 7 am because she needed emergency surgery I told the front desk it was an emergency just to be informed that the medical staff would get there closer to 8 am I decided to wait. They finally took me in a room at 8:15. The nurse came in an took her vitals and said the vet would be in shortly , at 8:45 I noticed my dog was not responding so went to the front desk and told them something was wrong with Tiny and finally the doctor came in and they took her away. I finally decided to have her uthenized because they informed me she would not make it through surgery. I think if they had treated this as an emergency she would have been saved. They took too long to see her. I am devastated too lose my sweet little Tiny.

The vet care is unsurpassed-- compassionate, smart, thorough, professional, collaborative and completely transparent about costs. The daycare and boarding is run extremely well, with caring and highly trained staff. They carefully evaluate each dog before placing them in group play. The staff engages in ongoing education with an exceptional trainer. Knowing that Luca is so well cared for --and loved--while I'm traveling, makes all the difference in the world!!

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about our experience here. The staff and doctors were…read moresome of the kindest and most compassionate people I've ever encountered at a veterinary clinic. My dog, DeeBo, can be pretty difficult and has quite the temper when it comes to vet visits , which is something I'm always nervous and a little embarrassed about. Not once did they make me feel bad or judged for it. Instead, they were incredibly patient with him and took their time making him feel as comfortable and safe as possible. They gave him treats, got down on the floor with us to speak to me and interact with him at his level, and were so gentle and understanding the entire time. They were able to clean up and treat the irritated areas on his head, give him his vaccines, and even made sure we had additional trazodone for future visits. I never felt like they were rushing us or just trying to get through the appointment. I walked in feeling anxious about how the visit was going to go and left feeling SO relieved and thankful. Having a reactive or difficult dog can make vet appointments incredibly stressful, and the compassion they showed both DeeBo and me meant more than they probably realize. This was, by far, the best veterinary experience I have ever had. I'm so grateful we found them and feel so much better knowing DeeBo has such a kind and patient team taking care of him.

WARNING TO CUSTOMERS…read more South Platte Veterinary Hospital engages in shady business practices designed to harm customers. I recently sent my cat to South Platte Veterinary Hospital for bloodwork and upon reviewing my bill I discovered that South Platte Veterinary double charged me for the exam ($79.95), after contacting South Platte Veterinary Hospital about the error they elected to issue $79.95 in credit to my account rather than return the funds to the original form of payment-- this shady business practice effectively gives South Platte River Veterinary Hospital a free loan (and free money if customers don't return to claim their credit). To make matters worse, the office manager made me jump through hoops to get the funds returned to the original form of payment (several phone calls / emails; easily 30min to get the refund). The default should be to refund to the original form of payment. South Platte Veterinary has lost me as a long-term client based on this customer experience / interaction. In full transparency / disclosure South Platte Veterinary Hospital is adequate at the core duty of taking care of sick animals; however, their business practices are disastrous. Do better South Platte Veterinary Hospital, Neil

After ingesting some string and socks, an emergency enterotomy had to be performed. Both the doctor and the techs stayed late to finish the surgery. Shortly after, a hernia was discovered, possibly from the stress of the surgery. Dr Wozniak took care of it the same day and the incision cite has since healed very nicely and there is no scarring. The staff also recognizes our boy by name and greets him very friendly and is very gentle with him knowing he is deaf. I greatly recommend Cherrelyn to any pet owners

This was URGENT my service dog Aspen HAD TO HAVE a 3 rooted tooth removed…read more Our first visit was very pleasant and finding a new amenable vet was at hand, my last 35 year Vet was retired and here we MUST have surgery. Very simple environment, with a plus they perform all their own blood work on premise, still Veterinarian cost are over the top! BUT we must have excellent amenable doctors whom we trust. My first appointment was free, NICE. Yet the extraction was costly and efficient ($910.00) and a live savor. Aspen, two days later is doing great. Swelling has gone down and she is playing around a bit with caution. The group is very conscientious and kind, understanding would be an understatement. Full explanations are given with care and empathy, and scheduled on time. Each time we have entered Cherrelyn there have been a host of animals, mostly dogs, some emergencies and taken full care of immediately, others wait their turn patiently with confidence. The only downside was the $$$, higher than the estimates, but the Vet and his team did save my dog's life. For when there is an upper level 3 rooted canine cracked infected tooth, the infection can and will go to the dog's brain and the results are ugly, it can and will kill them. We caught it in time. Also, I will say I did call 4-5 vets, some we had free 1st visits, procedure amounts were from $1000.00 to $2676.00 The aftermath is: Aspen is healing exponentially! Out of danger for this was as serious upper tooth extraction. And I have developed a firm trust in Cherrelyn Veterinarians, he is most compassionate and spoke firmly of his concerns. My service dog did have post-op symptoms, not wishing to eat and very running bowels, which is to be expected. Otherwise, now 6 latter, she is beginning to play and eat once daily. There is no perfect when it comes to surgeries, don't expect and costs for living these days is just simply outrageous, please so not complain, do your work and get estimates and ask lots of questions during that visit. The costs are breath taking these days, as most everything else are; yet it is a must have urgency, with confidence and a smile. Know that Aspen is healing well due to Dr. Kostner and ALL staff!! Thank you so much!

They got him in for a CT scan quickly, gave us options to keep him comfortable with the breathing issues he was having, and he was scheduled to start radiation within a week. After completing SRT Radiation with Dr. Vernon our cat was in partial remission and breathing much better, and thankfully we had another happy 10 months with him. Dr. Vernon did everything he could to help and was always available when we had questions or concerns. We knew that everyone there really cared about our kitty and how he was doing. When it was unfortunately time to say goodbye to our sweet boy they sent a very thoughtful condolence card that meant a lot to us. The Emergency department was also wonderful when we had to bring our cat in when he wasn't feeling well - there were several emergency visits needed throughout the year, and every vet we met was attentive and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing Oncology or Emergency services for their pet.

He gave her the antibiotics you should have while waiting for a cancer blood test which came back negative. What you did to me is unconscionable and charging for the unnecessary emotional distress you put me through. Shame on you. Disgusting. At least your wrong diagnosis didn't leave to her unaliving my girl like the vet in Bailey, Colorado. You should really be more responsible. People are supposed to be able to trust vets. Not so
