I stayed with this practice for four years, largely out of loyalty after they correctly diagnosed my first dog's diabetes. That turned out to be the only accurate diagnosis we ever got here. Last year they told me my dog had severe cancer and gave me two options: put her to sleep, or pay for an ultrasound. They prescribed cancer medication and had us wait two weeks for that ultrasound. Something felt wrong, so I pushed to get it done. The result: a bladder infection. Not cancer. We spent over $1,000 on visits, medication, and imaging for a misdiagnosis that nearly cost my dog her life. May 2022 was one of the hardest months of my life. My husband and I lost both of our 17 year old kitties within 3 weeks of each other and to say we were devastated is an understatement. When we started to notice both of our kitty's decline - one after the other - we weren't sure what to do. Seeing their active decline and wanting to keep them out of pain, we knew putting them at ease was for the best. THE hardest decision, but one that we knew was right. With our usual vet booked out for days, we opted to do a simple search for spots near our home who could assist in the process. Our main concern was keeping them comfortable and letting them go in a quick, sweet, painless manner, so after seeing WellHaven and the wonderful google reviews, we knew just the place. While we were there for other reasons than other Yelpers, we found WellHaven to be amazing. We were able to book appointments over the phone and online, speak with the nurses and doctor prior and say our goodbye's in a quiet and peaceful way. The staff is truly unbelievable in that they are insanely sweet, gentle and sympathetic. They were very professional, explained the process to us and allowed us to mourn as long as we wanted. Pricing is very reasonable for services and an additional outside service has paired with WellHaven to provide proper burial and cremation services for a small cost, while a paw print with your pets name stamped onto it is free of charge. We opted to get both girls' ashes which were ready less than a week later, which came in a beautiful small engraved box, which pairs perfectly next to their tiny paw prints! We also received cards in the mail signed by each member of the WellHaven team which was heartwarming and a very sweet touch. WellHaven also serves as a vet clinic, ortho clinic AND as a doggy day care/camp, and is NOT just a place for the sad stuff. The visit was fairly priced compared to other quotes from competitors. It was super easy to register & make the appointment. Everything went smoothly. We found our new local vet! read more

I was walking by and saw the girl with black hair and bangs grabbing the dogs by their neck and dragging them across the room. She was also kneeing dogs in the chest when they came up to her. When people would come to drop off their pets she acted like she was excited to see them. Then when they left she would continue being awful to them. I went here one evening because my dog was pacing after being at the dog park. I am that helicopter dog mom that notices if anything is off with my doggo. He's a corgi so he has to be careful with his long body. He apparently had some mild back pain and couldn't get comfortable. So, in we went to the urgent care. The staff there were so great and gracious. They explained what they thought it was because of the exercises they did and he winced when they did the check along his back. My poor bunny hopper. They prescribed some Rimadyl and something else, and within a few days he was feeling so much better. He needs to live in a bubble because he is such a "delicate flower." heh. Anyway, I would definitely return here. The urgent care visit fee is $149 but if you go during the day, I believe they said it was $75. I am relatively new to the area so I did not have a regular vet to call when my cat got an eye infection. I called around to several vet clinics to try to get her in asap, and WellHaven was able to fit her in the next day. The staff was very friendly when I dropped her off and picked her up, and their prices were reasonable. I would definitely trust them with my pets again. read more

My dog was neutered on Friday at Wellhaven and is bleeding on Sunday. I need to speak with someone to know what to do as I have never had this issue in the past. I tried the nurse's line from the post op instructions and got stuck with some lady from England who referred me to a Vet in Portland, OR. Not helpful. Then I tried the emergency number on the back of the post op instructions and got a guy named Marve, who is not a vet by the way. Not helpful. They do not even have an option to leave them a message their machine and the first appointment I can get is for Tuesday on their stupid app. I'm completely disgusted with this vet. They don't care about my dog at all. I'm also very frustrated because they didn't tell me about important aspects of the surgery until I picked up my dog after the fact. The alternation is likely to cause post op problems and it obviously did. I should have been informed about their shortcut so I could make a decision about what was best for my dog. read more

Its a shame that the vet services rating is linked to the negative review from doggie daycare, because it isn't even close to my experience with the veterinarian and the staff. I've been coming here regularly to get my cat's nails trimmed. They are great with her. Quick, friendly and always greet me and Anchovy with a smile. Scheduling is also really easy. I love that they are opened on Saturdays. I visited today to get a well check before we move next month to Michigan. Dr Dennis was fantastic. She and the technician (I think that was her position) really listened to my concerns regarding heart-worm, tick, and mosquitoes. They even gave me some meds for my cat's stress and anxiety for the long car ride. The staff here really cares and I am sad to be leaving. Thank you for all you've done for me and Anchovy. read more

The staffing was all rude except for the guy that took my dog back, he was very personable and friendly. However the tall dark haired doctor was extremely rude. They did take care of my dog so I am grateful for that, but next time I will go somewhere else in hopes for a better experience with the doctors which is very important as my dog is everything to me. read more

I feel so fortunate to have this practice as a partner in veterinary care not only for my own pets but for my fosters. The doctors and techs go out of their way to treat the pets by thinking outside of the box, using step-by-step treatments rather than throwing the whole kitchen sink at them, unless absolutely necessary. Their thoughtful approach includes pet owners, which helps manage costs but doesn't overwhelm the animals through over medicating. In addition, they understand the needs of a rescue organization and the uniqueness of where our animals come from to better treat them.
