The reason this review is happening is coming from a rather bad experience with a previous veterinary clinic that I consistently took my French bulldog in for her check ups. The prior negativity is now irrelevant, but the new medical center I chose absolutely blew my mind. The location is beautiful. It's tucked away in a neighborhood in lone tree and almost feels like a little country club for animals. My little Frenchie went through a bit of a hard time when she had an ear infection as well as a UTI at the same time. I took in my dog after calling around to other veterinary clinics to find one that I thought would be a best fit. It was very clean, everyone who is there was very kind and the one thing that blew me away was the doctor who ended up working with my dog. He was absolutely incredible. He spent so much time and attention making sure that my dog got the absolute best diagnosis and I left feeling like I had put my trust in the right place. I would highly recommend this place to any of my family and friends or anyone looking to switch it up, feeling like your current animal care isn't up to your standards. read more

Took them in for a routine shot and brought up concerns with our pug only to be told that we would have to spend another thousands of dollars to see what's wrong and there's nothing they can do to ease his pain or help in the meantime. Got a second opinion after two different vets at that practice couldn't help and we now have our pug on some cough meds and steroids that are helping him! After moving here in February we needed to establish a vet for our 2 dogs. In the meantime we adopted a kitten who became very sick as soon as we got her. I called around and Lone Tree was the only place able to take us same day. When we brought Zelda in she was like a rag doll and needed help ASAP! We saw Dr. Moyle and Claire who took amazing care of her and treated us with such compassion and kindness while we were in tears over our new baby kitty. While running every test under the sun we waited patiently in the waiting room. Dr. Moyle came out multiple times to update us on the status of each test and assure us she was in good hands. When they were finishing up with Zelda, Dr. Moyle took me on a tour of the entire facility. I was highly impressed with every inch of the building, the cleanliness, and the wonderful staff! Over the next 2 months we brought both dogs in and the kitty back a few times for more shots and follow up appointments. Dr. Mercuri was gentle and extremely sweet to Zelda on all her follow up appointments as we brought her back to a healthy kitten! Dr. Voss is now our regular vet for Kobe and Cora (dogs) and he is very patient and thorough! Dr. Voss told us about their new boarding school program for our fearful pup Cora and we enrolled her almost immediately! It was a two week program for $650. We brought Cora in on Tuesday's and picked her up on Friday's. She spent the week trying with Eric working on her behavior. While she is a very good listener, she wanted terribly to attack our new cat as well as every dog, leaf, and car on our daily walks! Eric called me and asked exactly what I wanted out of Cora and he delivered! When my wife and I went to pick her up on Friday we were almost in tears as she was running around happily with his dogs in the room! (She does not like any other animal!) We brought Cora home on Friday, she ran in the house sniffed the cat and walked away! Throughout the weekend both became friends and our house was calm and comfortable! I am 100% satisfied with every experience we've had here! We have not once felt pressured to buy anything or do any treatments we felt unnecessary! We've been going here since our pup was born. The front desk staff used to be kind, considerate and not make mistakes in scheduling. I called back in May to schedule my pup for grooming and boarding. Magically they don't have my boarding but they have my grooming for the time I need boarding. No apology or anything. Now I'm scrambling to find a kennel for our trip next month. Also make sure they take your deposit for the holidays or you boarding will be cancelled which is what I think happened here. read more

this is a review for Natasha, the groomer. This was my pups first time getting groomed and it was a less than pleasant experience thanks to Natasha. My dog was calm as Natasha marched her way up to us, but it wasn't until she was only 2 feet with aggressive body language that my dog reacted by barking (no lunge, nor attempt to bite). She immediately gasps and demands to know whether she's ever bitten anyone before (she hasn't). Her reaction only causes my dog to be in a protective/defensive manner. I tried to calmly explain that she's anxious at the vet and for that same reason, I had given her a dose of Trazadone. Natasha doesn't hear me and demands to strap my dog to the pole to keep her away from me, I obliged. I continue explaining to her that because my dog was gotten during COVID and due to her trainers recommendation, to wait a little longer as her anxiety eases. Natasha, again, in an aggressive manner gets closer to my leashed dog without warning. At this point, our pup didn't bark nor lunge but she was clearly agitated by the situation. Natasha then states how she's 2 YO (she's not) and has not gotten groomed. Her professional demeanor and judgement was sickening even though I tried to explain. I then suggested, calmly, that maybe it wasn't the right fit for the groomer, as we clearly needed someone with professional etiquette (perhaps Jill who my initial appointment was with) and experience with more anxious dogs. She follows it up by rudely stating that I don't need to stay (not what I was saying). I completely understand my dogs initial reaction as a cause for concern, however it was her rude professionalism, combined with her grotesque inability to interact with dogs from the get-go. I'm glad I didn't leave her here because I would be thinking about how mistreated my dog might have been. I hope Jill is the face of the grooming department because this was an emotionally taxing experience. read more

had to put my cat Elmo to sleep on Tuesday - He had a nasal tumor that was inoperable - he was only 7. I've never had to put a pet to sleep before..I discovered late Monday night that his nose started bleeding heavily, and for the first day in his life, he refused food..I knew this was what I had been dreading the past 8 months. I called every animal hospital/vet clinic in the area, and then I spoke with Amanda at Lone Tree - She was so incredibly kind and helpful with explaining everything, and in addition to being the best place, they had the lowest prices - I am a Banfield member, and I opted to go here over there, they were nicer, and again had lower prices despite what I pay per month there (I will be switching) They have a special 'Comfort Room' that is just for saying goodbye to your pet - it has nice leather furniture and blankets in a quiet, home like setting - I was able to bring Elmo's best friend, Yoda, who made himself comfortable (as pictured on the ottoman!) Which I thought was important for Elmo, as well as Yoda to sense where Elmo went rather than having him disappear suddenly - I was in such a distraught state that I was not entirely aware of everything happening, so it was so helpful to have everyone be so kind - Amanda again was absolutely above and beyond sweet, and they all treated Elmo so well. Most importantly, Elmo was able to relax and was as comfy as possible - and I was able to lay with him on the couch, with my friend who came with me having plenty of room to be there for support with her own space - We were able to stay until they closed - I had privacy to sing him his favorite song, and tell him his life story before finally saying goodbye. (I also really liked that they were open until 8, it gave me extra time I very much needed. I have these photos that show how nice the room is, and how comfortable we were) I am so grateful to everyone there for making this horrible time less horrible than it might have been elsewhere. I came to this vet because my previous vet "down the street" mis-diagnosed my dog, essentially stating that his heart was failing, and had about a year left to live, prescribing the wrong medication in the process. There were many things about this previous vet that did not sit right with me, so I needed a second opinion. Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center actually performed diagnostic scans and physical tests on my dog. Dr. Voss was an excellent provider, making sure all of my questions were answered, and seemed to have a command of veterinary medical knowledge to make sure all possibilities were explored. It turns out, my dog had kennel cough, and after taking antibiotics, is recovering fine. After a very stressful week coming to terms with my dog's mortality, LTVMC fortunately alleviated this stress by doing a much more thorough job than the rushed, impatient provider I saw down the street. Scheduling was a breeze, the facilities were clean, the process was smooth, and all of the staff was friendly. They followed up with a call to see how he was doing, and even sent a customer satisfaction survey afterwards. Emergency visit today and had an extraordinary experience. They met us curbside and whisked my dog away as she was having a severe allergic reaction and tongue swelling. In literally three minutes they had a room waiting for her with oxygen. Dr Bursting called me with an update within minutes and spoke with me multiple times throughout the day when she didn't respond to treatment as they desired. We even exchanged pictures so they could determine her normal facial appearance and from there created an ongoing treatment plan together. Given all that is happening in the world I must applaud the extraordinary efforts of the team in treating our pup and keeping her safe. Eric Gillaspy is the definition of a very special Dog Trainer. Adopting my first rescue pup, I was clueless how to train her. Enter Eric: In a very short time, Eric knew my dog's quirks, and taught me how to work with them. I was concerned that I had no idea how my puppy was treated before I rescued her but Eric pointed out that I was her Future; to put away the past, and that I would be the one who would be offering her a very special life. The long and short of it is: Eric showed me how to recognize how much she loves me and wanted to learn. And together we learned! A Lot! We learned how to walk on a Loose Leash. Sit! Down! Come Here! Leave it! Fetch and Retrieve! The dogs love him! And their Doggie's Persons loves him. Eric is personable, and fun to work with. I left our training Sessions with the confidence that we were both on the same path! I've been a client here for 5+ years. Their care for animals and pet parents have been consistent. You'll get the undecided attention you need in the exam room, endless treatment options and sincere care if your pet is terminal (as was 1 of our fur-baby). The genially care about our pets and will always follow up with a phone call the next day to check in with our pets and how they are doing with treatment. Cost seems to always be a concern with pet parents but they do work well if you decide to buy prescriptions online. They also have a full range of other services such as birding and training. We wouldn't go anywhere else. After a terrible experience at Banfield and a lot of expense at Meridian Animal Hospital, this was a relief to find. First, the hours and services offered are awesome - open 7 days a week, early in the morning to late at night. You can almost always get an appointment quickly. Second, the staff. Dr. Voss has our loyalty forever. He is caring, conscientious, and knowledgeable. He takes time to answer our questions and make sure everyone is comfortable. We have a very high-maintenance household with a lot of special needs (we joke with Dr. Voss that we're on his speed dial), and he is on top of everything and provides peace of mind. The office and vet tech staff are also great. They all know one of our frequent visitors and always seem thrilled to see him. Finally, Lone Tree is feasibly priced. We spend A LOT of money at the vet, and for the quality of care, this place delivers on value. As mentioned, we have been to Banfield (cheaper, but extremely poor service and care) and Meridian (good care and service, very expensive), and this is very reasonable. The vet and staff were so gentle through the entire process from beginning to his untimely end. They were caring, sensitive and nurturing to Dodger and myself. 2. I've been to a couple veterinarian clinics since I moved to the Denver area a year ago. Daisy wasn't well and LTVM was open today with an availability. I can describe the entire experience in 1 word: Quality. The waiting area is super comfortable and broken out into a couple areas to provide separation from other dogs, if needed. A little extra space was nice--quality. I noticed the facility was very quiet and calm. No barking dogs in the back. Staff was friendly, the room was comfortable and spacious. We saw Dr. Voss--he was pretty amazing in amount of quality time he spent with Daisy and I. Wow, impressive. He was pretty laid back and sat on the floor giving Daisy time to get comfortable with him. It was as if he had no other patients. We talked about what has been going on with her, etc. Doc was very thorough with our medical concerns. He mentioned a test but he thought they were not value add at this point. I appreciated his conservative approach. Care= 5 Quality Stars! LTVM's hours are great too--open seven days a week--an extra feature above and beyond some of the other vet clinics. read more

I've been taking my dogs here for the last four years and they have always been wonderful. My old girl had to be put down last year and I could not imagine a better place for such a difficult day. She had respiratory issues that I had thought were allergies but were actually much more serious. They let me sit in an empty exam room so I could cry in private. After the vet made her comfortable by withdrawing a ton of fluid from her lungs, he spoke to me gently but seriously about her situation. They suspected cancer, but couldn't be sure without a painful procedure and testing. The fluid in her lungs made it almost impossible for imaging. They were also very good about making me aware of the cost of these emergency procedures. If I had wanted more extensive treatment and testing, they let me know that her situation was more than they could handle and recommended an emergency hospital. She was 14 and already struggling to breathe again less than an hour after they withdrew the fluid and so I decided her quality of life with testing, procedures and treatment would not be worth getting a few extra months with her. They have a wonderful quiet room with couches and endless treats for you to spend as much time as you need saying goodbye. When you are ready, you get to choose how you want it. I choose sitting on the couch with her head in my lap. The doctor explained everything including what to expect and what might happen; what each drug did and how long it would take. I was given options to take her ashes or have them scattered for me in the mountains. They also took a paw print in plaster for me to remember her by. The respect and care they gave my girl will always be remembered. I have a new rescue for my boy who lost his sister and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for my two furry kids. The vets and techs get down on the floor to pet and snuggle the dogs to make them more comfortable. They tag team the dogs to keep our visit short and less stressful. One dogs goes back for blood and stool samples while the other is examined and given shots and then they swap. They also do boarding and grooming, we haven't tried those services yet, but I would trust them to take care of my kids. Thank you Lone Tree staff, you make a difference! read more

Eric has a no non-sense, kind, loving and extremely effective way of training puppies (& their owners). Every single staff member we met from front desk, vet tech, trainer and doc was extremely nice, welcoming and provided great service. The exam was very thorough and I felt better about flying home with our new pooch. Also felt their cost for the exam and tests were reasonable. I wanted to like Lone Tree Veterinary. My 16 year old dog has to have monthly injections for arthritis. We provide the medicine. The very only has to administer the injection. Our vet in Atlanta charged $5 for this service. A vet we had been seeing since moving to Denver charged nothing at all to do this work. Lone Tree Veterinary just charged me $32 for the service. That's unacceptable. It took the tech about 3 minutes to take her back, give the injection and bring her back. I don't think their expertise is worth $640 an hour. read more

I didn't realize I'd never written a review for Lone Tree. Until recently I probably would have given them 5 stars. They've been very helpful with the rescue I volunteer for, price and time wise. I had to take a foster in on a Sunday when she popped out of her leg cast. Lone Tree was great about getting me in (they have consistent Sunday hours) and replaced her cast pronto. They've vaccinated other rescue dogs and most recently boarded my permanent, special needs foster Milo. Many of my clients (I'm a prof. pet sitter) rely on Lone Tree for their pets medical needs. All have been pleased. I have even taken a client's dog to the vet when she had a rash. I've never found the staff disappointing. In fact, I've always been very pleased with the level of professionalism and concern (although I don't dispute any other Yelper's situation. Customer service and apparently veterinary knowledge isn't always even across the board). When I boarded Milo at the beginning of August I got a tour of the facility, including the medical boarding area in intensive care. I went over all of his medications and quirks. I called to check on him every day and he seemed to do very well. One of the techs even bought him a special squirrel toy. When they found the towel that had gotten left behind, they called to say they'd found it and that they missed having Milo around. The "until recently" is due to an experience one of my clients had, which I don't feel I can comment on fairly since it would be a second-hang account. We were referred to Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center by our vet when we needed medical boarding for our cat Phoebe, who has diabetes. The facility is clean and top notch. The staff are friendly, professional, and caring. When Phoebe started eating less, they double checked her blood sugar, and reduced her meds as needed. They even called to double check on her once we had her back home to make sure she was eating and feeling better (she was just missing home). As a person who always reads reviews, and now researching a new vet in a new state, I decided to look back on what people had said about Lone Tree. There isn't much here, so I wanted to help others. I lived in Denver for 11 years, and took my cocker spaniel here from day 1. They were always friendly, thorough, and always called after they closed to check and see how my dog was doing. I had a really healthy dog and never had anything major for Lone Tree to do. Ear infections, a sprained or cut paw, boarding, yearly vaccinations, were about the max for our baby. After 9 years, he had what seemed like a really red droopy eye. We took him in and it was diagnosed as an eye infection. After meds for a few days, it wasn't getting better. We went back in and they recommended a specialist. They believed it could be Glaucoma. They sent us to VRCC on Santa Fe and Hampden where we received excellent treatment. Sure enough it was Glaucoma and we had to remove his eye. Lone Tree called to see how the appointment went with the VRCC and they continued to check on him throughout the check ups, surgery, and after care. We continued to go to Lone Tree until recently when we moved to CA. They have always been fantastic. They always knew my dogs name and would always pet him and play with him upon arrival. Loved the front staff, nurses, and dr's. I highly recommend Dr. Boyle and Dr. Burstein. Fantastic, caring vets! I felt their prices were very reasonable. I only wish I could bring them to CA. This place is overpriced and will actively try to screw you over. My dog tore his ACL and they recommended a procedure involving (I believe) a titanium plate that would have cost around $3000. When I got a second opinion at Rocky Mountain Small Animal Hospital, they were astonished the vet recommended that procedure for my dog because he only weighs 8lbs and doesn't need the plate since he's not heavy. They ended up recommending a band surgery and quoted me around $1300 - $1500. Much more reasonable and I was thankful they explained the difference between the procedures. While I did end up going to Planned Pethood for the surgery, we do routine care at Rocky Mountain Small Animal Hospital and will never return to Lone Tree Vet. Being new to the area, I made an appt for my cat for the first time at this clinic. I was asked to show up 10 mins early to fill out paperwork so I show up 15 mins early. When I got there, The doors were locked and you had to call them. So I called when I arrived. The lady picks up the phone and asks me to hold. 5 mins later she comes back and I tell her I'm here for our 4 o'clock appt. She says someone will be out shortly. 10 mins later (so now past our appt time) a lady brings out paperwork. I fill it out and give it to a worker who happened to be walking back into the locked building and she told me someone would be out shortly to get us. I waited 35 more mins and no one ever came. So we left. I spent a total 45 mins and all this clinic could get accomplished for us was to bring paperwork out to me. Don't schedule appts if you can't keep on time. Just made the switch to Lone Tree Vet and had the best experience. The facility is super clean and the staff was very professional. A big shout out to Dr Amber Korner. My little dog is almost 16 and she's a bit of a grumpy lady in her old age. Dr Korner really took the time to get to know her and make her feel comfortable before the exam. I love this vet! Our dog had an emergency and they were able to see us right away. They had to keep him for a few hours and the vet himself called with updates twice.
