We had an amazing experience with MEI, catering and Nick. My retirement party was planned by my friends, and although I was at the initial meeting, I had nothing to do with it after that. I went to a cat fundraiser for Lucky U, and they had it catered by M.E.I.. They opted for buffet style, which is my favorite because if you can get what you want & go back up for seconds. Some of the options were sautéed green beans, roasted potatoes, roast beef in au jus, fresh rolls, salad, I believe penne pasta in a red gravy/sauce. We had heard good things about the food from MEI and decided to book them for an in home Holy Communion Party for about 100 people. Booking was easy, and we were able to customize our menu completely to our taste. Prices were the most reasonable for any caterer in the area that I called. The package also included a sheet cake to serve all of our guests, and adding on a sweet table was very reasonably priced as well. I was surprised to learn that our package included 2 servers for our 4 hour party. They arrived 2 hours before our start time, set everything up, served the food and cleaned up after guests used plates/utensils during the entire party, and then cleaned up at the end of the event, only leaving behind the delicious leftovers, which they packed up neatly and labeled for us. So in total, they really spent 6 hours at my house from start to finish. The servers were so nice and personable with my guests. The food was delicious. Everyone commented especially how the fresh carved turkey was the best they ever tasted (I highly recommend it)! We also loved the other dishes we chose - chicken marsala, pulled pork, and ravioli, plus sides of roasted potatoes and green beans. The desserts were also better than anything I've had in the Lower Bucks area. The only thing we needed to provide for the party was beverages, and everything else was taken care of - allowing us to enjoy time with our guests! The owner called me personally on Monday morning after the event to ensure my party was a success, which I thought was a really nice gesture. The most beautiful hall around! I cannot begin to explain how gorgeous the hall was when we walked in! It was huge, clean, and had a fabulous layout. The food was so delicious and there was plenty of dietary options for our guests. The staff was absolutely wonderful and interacted so kindly with our whole party. We used MEI for our December 1, 2012 wedding. My wife and I could not be happier with the service we received. Nick and Celia are incredible. You can tell right away that they have done many weddings. You get so much for your money. We did a lot of research, and nothing came even close to the value provided by MEI. And by value, I do not mean in any way that our wedding was "cheap." Everything was of the highest quality. Twining Hall itself is gorgeous. I always wanted a reception hall with a high ceiling - which was actually difficult to come by. The decoration, centerpieces, and just overall ambiance of the hall is beautiful. I recommend making arrangements to peek in during a wedding, as seeing it otherwise simply will not do it justice. Nick and Celia, apart from being knowledgeable are VERY accommodating. We ran in to a small issue with our wedding being on December 1 - meaning Christmas decorations will have been up for the hall since they do many Christmas parties. I spoke to Nick about not wanting Christmas decoration since our wedding colors were pink and black. After some discussion, Nick was kind enough to hold off on decorating for Christmas until after our wedding. And the food! I still have guests telling me how spectacular the food was at our wedding. The bar was also great. The staff was friendly. Finally, they provide a DJ (which is something you won't find many other places!). I cannot say enough nice things about Cindy, the DJ. She was so much fun and truly enjoyed being a part of our special day. She was an absolute highlight of our wedding. I cannot highly recommend MEI Catering/Twining Hall enough. We hired MEI for our daughter's 1st birthday party on August 12, 2017, which was outdoors and in a family member's backyard. We had about 100 people in attendance. Jim (the cook), Stephanie and Matt (the servers/helpers) worked the party and were absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and we couldn't have asked for a better event. During and after the party, many people reached out to us expressing how much they loved the food and how impressed they were with the service MEI provided. The food and drinks were always abundant and the party was kept clean, neat and organized. I was nervous about having so many people, but they made this party great - we didn't have to worry about anything. And it helped even more that the staff were pleasant and had smiles on their faces the entire time, even though they were probably melting from the heat! We held our wedding reception at Twining Hall on 4/8/17 and thanks to Nick and his staff at MEI Catering, it was a perfect evening. The hall was decorated beautifully and the items we added (favors, centerpieces, decor for the gift table, etc.) were placed exactly as we wanted. When I realized I'd forgotten a topper for our cake, he was prepared! The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived and throughout the night. The food was absolutely delicious! The carved beef was our favorite. We had many out of town guests travel for our reception and everyone raved about the food, the service, and the location. I met with Nick in July, 2016 to book the hall and throughout the months leading up to the event, he was a call or email away. My husband and I no longer live in the Philadelphia area, so this was extremely helpful as we were planning this event long distance. Through meeting with Nick and through the information provided on his website, we were also able to secure our DJ and photographer, both of whom also did an amazing job.
