Just had my wedding here and the staff could not have been more attentive and kind! A huge shoutout to our bridal attendants Danny and Giselle for making sure we had everything we needed throughout the day and taking such good care of us, our event manager Kyle for keeping me stress free and running the behind the scenes so efficiently, and the event coordinator Alyssa for bringing my vision to life. I was the Matron of Honor in my best friend's wedding at Spring Mill Manor, and as someone who works in customer service, I was absolutely appalled by the level of disorganization, lack of communication, and overall disregard for professionalism I witnessed from start to finish. Nearly every detail the bride confirmed and signed off on before the wedding was ignored. The bridal suite had dirty champagne glasses and unsafe, wobbly chairs for hair and makeup. Both coordinators were hard to find throughout the day, and when issues arose, they were either dismissed or never followed up on. Guests were served the wrong food (including one with a serious allergy), others didn't receive meals at all, and many didn't even know dessert or coffee was available because there was no announcement. The champagne cart enhancement that was paid for was unstaffed and never used. Even simple things like helping the bride's nephew hand out programs--something I personally spoke to the coordinator about--were completely forgotten. Working in customer service myself, I know how important attention to detail, communication, and accountability are--especially for an event as meaningful as a wedding. What I saw that day was the opposite. The only person who seemed to know what she was doing was Sarah, who genuinely tried to correct issues and assist where others failed. 3.5 stars. I'm not one for these "all inclusive" type venues for weddings. They're just not my style. I can however totally understand the "one stop shop" aspect of these type of places. They're just not for me. Personal preference, but as a guest this past Saturday, October 1st, this one wasn't bad... Positives: A lovely outdoor area for reception...pond and gazebo. Grass for guests. Cement aisle. Smart. Nice concrete area for a cocktail hours after outdoor ceremony with lovely details such and sconces and columns. Beautiful foyer with double staircases for grand entrances and many photo ops. Bridal suite and grooms room with a few restrooms nearby, away from the guests. Valet parking available. Uplighting in the room was beautiful! Passed hors d'oeuvres highlights include bacon wrapped scallops, lo mein noodles creatively wrapped around chopsticks, shrimp cocktail in mini martini glasses. Charcuterie station with cheeses and fresh veggies displayed nicely. They went out of their way to create a vegan meal for me. It was a gorgeous veggie stack with a basaltic drizzle. Hubs said his chicken dish was pretty good. The fireplace and pianos were lively touches. Drinks were strong and the option to have a signature cocktail is always fun Negatives: Our waitress at table 8 was fairly rude and not very attentive. She flat out refused to bring me olive oil when I kindly asked for some for the roll I really wanted to eat since I don't use butter. Cocktail area was very tight for her 250 guests. People trickled out into the hall and lounged on the couches so it wasn't so bad. The champagne used for the toast was pretty awful. The water was not drinkable! It tasted as though the lemon had been sitting in there too long. I would say leave the wedge on the rim of the glass or place slices on the tables. I get it looks nice but no one could drink it! The rooms could definitely use some updating. The retro carpet and definitely the beaded trimmed valances. Also fresh flowers in the large vase in the lobby would make a big difference! There was what looked like an oil stain on the concrete by the front door. I can't leave this review without mentioning Ray. I deemed him the "David Tutera of Spring Mill Manor." Not only was he adorable, funny and personable, he knows his job and does it very well. He knows how to deal with crowds and nervous brides. He was there to oversea everything. From rehearsal, to helping us walk down the aisle, to making sure every aspect of the affair was running very smoothly, Ray was incredible!! I would have loved to have him at my wedding! Ray is a fantastic asset to Spring Mill Manor! He alone deserves a 5 stars!! We overall had a fantastic evening. A few enhancements could really give this place a higher rating! read more

I am giving this 3 stars due to the facility itself being very elegant. Otherwise, the entire experience was one to forget. Our wedding event was on Sunday July 4th. We visited them several months prior to that to see the place and agreed to go with them. I gave the General Manger Ross Wilner (the Only person i ever dealt with at this facility) a deposit and verbally agreed to rent their hall. As we got closer to the event date, i found our guest count was reduced as many of our out of state guests dropped out due to not wanting to fly during COVID. We now had 170 guests, but he said we needed a minimum of 225 (which i later saw he had actually put on the contract). After some debate, he suggested to charge us for 190 guests (20 more that were actually there). I agreed to pay for the extra 20 guests at this point as i did not want any complications with our wedding event. When he gave us a floor plan, he had laid out only 17 tables (170 guests). When i called and said i had paid for 190 and wanted the guests to have some social distancing, only then did he agree to put out two more tables. When i had argued with him about why we would pay for extra guests when guests dropping out due to COVID was not our fault, he said "It was in the contract". When i suggested we never received a mailed copy of the contract, h said that in that case he may decide to "not honor the date" How tough and tormenting is it for a host to hear that your contract date may not be "honored" when you have almost 200 people showing up and a wedding at stake. This is the kind of person we were dealing with. This man is not concerned with making his customers happy, only the money he can bring for his facility. At least that was how he treated us. The bride had decided to get her makeup done at the bridal suite. She arrived there at 12 noon. While i was on my way to the facility to deliver some party favors, i get a call from Mr. Ross Wilner saying some lady had called him and was coming to the facility to do the bride's makeup. Mr. Wilner told me in no uncertain terms that the facility could not be used as early as that. When i said what difference does it make as there is no other event happening and she is only using the bridal suite, he said that he had to go out and could not leave the facility unattended. When the bride got irritated and said she would pay for the extra time, he said it would be $25 per hour. Suddenly and for $25 an hour he was able to take the risk and leave the facility unattended. Considering we paid thousands for this event, an amount of $25 sounded pretty ludicrous to me. But hey, they need to make every penny they can make i guess. The carpet runner leading to the stage had lint and threads on it and looking unsightly. When i asked him about that he said "Your people brought all dirty carpets". "Your people" meant the stage decorator. When you are paying him thousands of dollars you expect him to get a staff member to vacuum the runner carpet on his own, not to point fingers at people. He did get the staff to vacuum it though, but again only after we intervened. At the sparkler send off outside, my wife asked him to turn on the overhead lights which would have looked beautiful. He did not turn them on for whatever reason. Instead of something he should have done on his own, he did not do it even when asked to do so. The water fountain was not working according to him. He said that it was out of order. Why was it out of order? Do you not make enough money on the facility to keep everything in working order? The lights were not on and the water fountain was not on outside. How cheap can you get when you have the facility and you refuse to use it for a special event. If you go with this facility and deal with Mr. Ross Wilner, make sure you have everything written down on the contract and go over it several times. Otherwise, if something is not to your expectation, he will say "Its not my fault you didn't read the contract". That's what he reminded me of several times during the course of the event. Thankfully the event went well. Nothing majorly went wrong. To be totally fair to Mr. Ross Wilner, he did do a few good things. Examples are making the adjacent room available for appetizers and food, supplying us with the piano for a piano recital, putting up a sign i had made on the landing and handling the goat leg carving station himself. But in the end, his overall unfriendliness and at times belligerent attitude left a bad taste in the mouth. For any other event in the future, i will go elsewhere. read more

A very classic elegant venue for weddings and special events. The event went off without a hitch, and the venue was comfortable and convenient. A very large building made up of several smaller rooms that can be flexibly used for groups of many sizes. Minus 2 stars for being way out of date. There's classic, and there's outdated, and this venue falls on the outdated side of the fence. Really fantastic architecture, but everything inside could use a fresh blast of paint and upholstery. Attended a wedding ceremony and reception here. Ceremony was lovely with a few glitches but that can add to the charm. Cocktail hour started with two bartenders and lines too long for a drink and for appetizers dishes that with a hole in them to hold a wine glass. Unfortunately many of us had cocktails or beers and tried to juggle holding the glass, awkward dish and purses at the same time with only a few tables in room to help. There were good choices of a mashed potato bar and some oriental cuisine, as well as butlered appetizers. Discovered a door to terrace at end of hour and it would have been helpful if one of those tables was free for us at the time. Salmon for dinner was slightly overdone. I'm sure it's hard to be perfect for large events and it was above average for sure. read more

Attended a wedding on August 4th, 2012. It will be a memorable wedding because the power had went out and never came back on. One of the worst wedding I have attended. I didn't see anyone from Spring Mill Manor come and apologize or anything like that. They did not provide a generator until late and most of the guest had already left. Other than the power outage and not offering to compensate for a ruined wedding, the Spring Mill Manor's food was not bad. Cocktail hour was just okay. As with most places, top shelf does not mean top shelf. If you want your wedding ruined, then Spring Mill Manor is the right choice. read more

Horrible......The snippy maitre de had such an attitude from the very start. The wedding we attended was for my cousin, my aunt asked my wife to bake Italian cookies that our family enjoys, upon arrival with the cookies for the sweet table, the maitre de seemed to be bothered by this. The cocktail hour food, cheese burger sliders, no taste on a stale roll, pulled pork sliders, same stale roll, crab fries served in a paper cone, spaghetti thin and over seasoned with old bay, below average cocktail weenies and some sort of egg roll type fried somethings. None of the servers were pleasant, no smiles, no eye contact I guess they took the lead vibe from the maitre de. Dinner was on par with hospital cafeteria food. My "roasted NY Sirloin", never heard of that cut of beef, was buried under large stalks of broccoli 4 whole 1/8 inch slivers of what looked like London broil topped with canned brown gravy and a generous portion of tasteless potato wedges and a hefty mound of i think fried angel hair onions, my wife had the chicken, she didn't finish it, it was tough and dry, I tasted it and it had no flavor. The really irritating thing at the end was the tray of Pizzelle cookies my wife baked were put out most were broken into small pieces and the maitre de decided to just combine them into the other tray of cookies saying "we need to close this up". Very poor manners. And lastly when leaving a table was set serving mini cheese steak or pulled pork sandwiches, trying to eat something some what good I waited for a mini cheese steak, while waiting, my favorite maitre de bumped me while bringing baskets of rolls to the table serving sandwiches, and I still don't get his loud remark saying ITALIAN MEATBALLS, the 2 girls serving were confused as well saying theres no meatballs, I can't help but think this was a derogatory reference to the people of Italian ancestry trying to celebrate the wedding of a loved one. My daughter was just married on 3/25/17 and from the time we initially met with Ray until the main event on Saturday, Ray made the process smooth and stress-free. Ray guided us through the process and his goal was to make the event one that they would remember....and that he did!! We had our wedding at Spring Mill Manor this weekend. Joan was such an amazing wedding coordinator. She was on point with everything!!!!!! She was so helpful and helped us find the most amazing DJ (Mike Rossi), photographer (Chris), videographer (Vince) and Photo booth attendant (Corey ...aka Huggy Bear) - all from East Coast Event Group. She also made sure we had the best bartenders and Maitre D (Robin). Robin ensured that we had everything we needed at the right time. She catered to us and was soooo helpful. Everything was just perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We couldn't have asked for a better venue or staff. Everyone was just amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We'd do it all over and use the same crew. read more
