The employees were super disrespectful and rude an older man in the parking lot who worked there yelled at us for trying to help bring in the electric cart back inside and out of the handicap spot where it was blocking handicap parking and this man screamed in our face and called us a slur that we do not feel comfortable saying. We tried calling to report this incident but they completely ignored us and left us on hold for over 2 hours. This is completely unacceptable work behavior and we expect better and change soon. read more

This Meijer is conveniently located right off of the interstate. It's always clean, well lit, and well-organized. I appreciate the open layout and ease of finding items. The staff isn't as friendly as one might expect and is definitely an area of opportunity. With a few tweaks, they could be one of the best in the area. read more

Meijer has the vaccine figured out! My husband and I registered early online with Meijer pharmacy. What they do is call you when you are eligible and they have vaccine available. My husband and I both got the text from Meijer only 2 days after we became eligible. You can pick your appt time. My husband got his shot on the same day he got the text. I got mine next day. So easy. I had no line or wait and they immediately schedule my second vaccine appt. I am so grateful. This Meijer is large and I like to shop veggies here. The fruit is always fresh and the prices are good. I can find hard to find things like oyster mushrooms here. The store carries almost anything you need, including alcohol. Today, I picked up BOGO ribs and rotisserie chicken. Shelves are well stocked. The staff wears masks and hand sanitizer is available. Most of the patrons wear masks but not all and mask wearing is not enforced. Good news is that they offer curbside pickup, too, which I have not used. There is a full service pharmacy on site as well. They carry a full range of household goods and decor. Prices are reasonable. The parking lot is large and sprawling and can be hard to maneuver during peak hours. read more

Overall this is a nice, clean store. It's been recently remodeled and the layout is a little odd. They have a nice produce area and meat section as well as a home and pet section. The grocery section is split up a little confusing though. Items that should be together are not and the groceries are split by paper goods and detergents before getting back to canned goods and dairy. The office area is not clearly labeled. My biggest pet peeve, however, is that their sales begin every Sunday and by most Monday mornings they are out of a lot of the items that are on sale. They may restock some during the week, but who has time to keep checking back? If you are going to have an item for sale, especially one of their popular 7 for $7 sales, make sure to have enough in stock that you are not out of it by Monday morning! read more

Review is for the bakery department. I placed an order for a custom cake online and noticed on my emailed receipt that the font color I selected was incorrect. I called the bakery to see if I could change it and was told that there is absolutely no way they could change the font color on the order and that I'd have to cancel my order and re-order the cake if I wanted to change anything. The online system they use is extremely tedious if you're making a custom cake and I didn't want to go through the process again so I told them to just keep the font color as is. It's extremely frustrating that there's nothing they can do. We'll see how the cake turns out when I pick it up in a couple weeks but I would not recommend ordering a cake from here. read more

The sales are good and rarely out of stock . The quality of their meat is very good . If you call you are directed to the right person quickly . It is my store for every day groceries. This location is going downhill fast. Over the last year or two (covid) all the produce has been moldy. The organic selection (if available) is extra moldy now. You have to really look in the store at the containers. Now buyer beware on their dips! You better check to see if the seals are broken! Also, a lot of the food on the shelves is already expired! I've only heard of this store in various coupon groups but never visited one. I'm in town for a basketball tournament and decided to visit. It reminds me of a super Walmart but better. It has every department you can think of from appliances, to food, clothes, and sporting goods. Everything was very neat and clean. Things have gotten worse! The lines have gotten longer, more things need to be restocked, and the staff has gotten ruder. Today I felt offended when a cashier told me "you're done" for spinning the rack of bags at the register (because she wasn't spinning it far enough for me to get all of my groceries) and looked at me like I was a little kid. Not my fault it took her 20 minutes to check out the two customers ahead of me, and then slowly replace the receipt tape, and then talk to another employee who needed to collect something, and then chat with another cashier... So slow and unprofessional today. I've lost my respect for this place. read more

We only shop at this location because it is the closest grocery store to us. They need more staff, bottom line. More checkout lanes open and more supervision on the self-checkout lanes. If you have an issue or are trying to purchase alcohol at self-checkout, be prepared to wait. If you need help around the store looking for an item, good luck on finding a staff member! Overpriced groceries, bad produce, they are usually out of 1/2 the sale items and they barley restock. Having a monopoly in the area and the fact they are trying to screw Whitestown out of taxes are two other reasons to avoid this embarrassment of a grocery store. Back again today with an update. I was previously mistaken as the deli counter is the slowest on either side of the Mississippi. I swear time was going in reverse. Rest of the store is good with a broad selection across the board. The produce is pretty decent, good variety and prices. read more

I purchased guppies. I did see there were dead fish in a few of the tanks but i did not know that all the tanks share water. I am somewhat new to fishkeeping. My tank is well cycled and has great numbers. I have had cory cats for 4 months. I purchased 4 guppies and now my tank is full of ich and have lost 3 guppies and 2 corys. I went back to Meijer to look at their tanks again. New dead fish in the tanks and many gasping for air at the tops and scratching against rocks. I am so upset! I now have to medicate and go through all the steps to rid my tank of ich and bacteria. I do now now to quarantine all fish for at least two weeks and never buy fish here. It is just sad that I had to learn that at such a expensive and deadly ( to my fish) way. This Meijer does NOT take care of their tanks and if you purchase here you will regret it read more

I want to write a review for Meijer Bakery. They suck ! I ordered a cupcake cake for Birthday. Several days later, I paid and picked up. Right before we started singing at the party, I opened the cake box and found the cake so ugly, clumsy, not even close to so called cake decoration. The cake was sooooo embarrassing to even put candles on. I did not want to say I was in charge of birthday cake. My 5 years old son would have decorated the cake much, much better than that. After that, I've never, ever ordered another birthday cake from Meijer Whitestown Bakery... Not worth it the risk...Especially, you can't return and get the new one the next day... Location opened mid-May 2014, just a 1 minute drive east from I-65 exit 130. Everything is nice and new, bright and clean. No real surprises in store layout or product offerings - it's all as you expect. Pharmacy. Lots of parking. Self checkout isles near BOTH main entry doors. Hippie factor: Baby organic dry goods section is fantastic with many options. Organic frozen foods, however, continue to be lacking when compared to Kroger ...no real surprise there but I was hoping to be wowed. I may as well auto-pay half a paycheck to Meijer every month because, well, that's how often I shop here. Clean, well-stocked, and convenient to where we live. The workers are almost always nice and willing to help, when asked. Plus I love using Mperks app to save moolah ($$), too. Really clean for being so big and so constantly busy. read more

Checkout clerk failed to remove security tags from my purchase triggering alarm as I tried to leave. I was distracted and had thrown away my receipt, so the front doorman told me to go dig it out of the trash and then forced me to open the trash cans and dig out my receipt or he'd confiscate my purchase, watching me as I did so. Disgusting facility, poor selection, terrible service, staff treat people like garbage. read more

I have almost quit shopping there. I regularly cannot find things that I need or want and the produce is often expired but still on the shelves. If you want something from the deli and have children, get a babysitter. The employees at the meat counter are better than anyone else in the store and have their own private social club which doesn't include shoppers. read more

Tried to write this directly to store management. Their feedback portal is impossible to find. This store has always been "housekeeping" challenged especially the parking lot and front entrances. Today it was very unkempt, paper all over. In the winter almost no snow removal for many days. Let's not talk about spirit and morale...there isn't any. I've almost never had an employee say "hello" or ask if they could help. They're mostly glum, bordering on rude. A man stocking the produce area was acting strange today, pushing in front of me to do stocking as if I was interfering with his day. With Marsh closed, Meijer is enjoying a windfall, but it's customers are paying for it with crowded and unpleasant visits. Just a heads up, Meijer. This Meijer is a pretty good store and has just about everything you need. It is reasonably priced and usually has some nice sales. It's very large and for the most part very clean. The cookie samples are the bomb and the water jugs are 10/10. The only problem I have with the store is that the fish need to be taken care of a lot better. They need to be cleaned more frequently and cared for. Also some of the employees are a little "interesting". Other than that it's a solid store! read more

A well-kept store that has a great variety of items. I was surprised to see that their prices compete with the national supermarket chains, and that they have a good collection of clothes as well. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because I like the pharmacy and I like the general merchandise part of the store. The grocery side has improved. This winter the grocery side couldn't seem to keep ANYTHING in stock. That had improved but the meat department deserves NO stars at all. They do not mark the prices correctly but what is worse is theh do not check their dates! Last week I got some chicken thighs on saturday 4/28 and took then out of the fridge on the next day 4/29 to cook but I noticed a horrible smell before I even opened the package. So i checked the sell by date and it was marked for 4/26! I told the manager because I told him that I could have fed that to my 4 year old had I not noticed the smell. His response was "well she probably would have been ok" no...poultry goes bad 2 MAYBE 3 days after the sell by dates and with a smell that strong I am pretty sure she would have gotten seriously sick. So today we went back (not for meat) and my fiance decided he was going to check out the whole chicken because it was on sale and picked one up and looked at the package and it was 5 days out of date!!!!! When my fiance told the man behind the counter the man got an attitude and told him he didn't need to give him a lecture. So if you shop at Meijer be sure to check the dates!!!! read more

Meijer in general is laid out very strangely. This one takes the cake!! The grocery aisles are not arranged in normal Meijer fashion. I have been in this store umpteen times and have to search for everything! I've looked for peanut butter every trip. This last one I gave up and called FROM THE STORE since I couldn't find anyone on the floor to ask. When I told James I was in his store and could he please tell me what aisle the peanut butter was in, he replied "aisle 11". Guess what? IT WASN'T IN AISLE 11. I gave up. Went to get a loaf of bread as I was leaving and THAT'S where the peanut butter is. In the BREAD aisle. Why????? I've never seen it there in any store I've ever shopped in. Slow slow slow! Been in line 15 minutes. Ask for new line to open nicely- only 2 open, no response. If you have an extra hour or 2 go here!

3 out of 4 times I go there they are completely out of 1% milk. I go through 5 gallons a week. 6 teenage kids. They always have things on sale that they don't have any of. If they run out of items they just put another item in its spot so what is there you have no idea how much it is. They never have cases of caffeine free Diet Pepsi. They cannot even keep Meijer brand bottled water in stock. They seem to stock the shelves most evenings and do not care if carts can even fit down any of the aisles around the skids. They constantly sell me things that are expired. Every single trip. I have to spend 3x as long checking every single item if I want to ensure nothing is expired. Their produce is always rotten right on the shelf. They are the closest store since it opened but not much value here. The convenient location brings me here often. I try to drive to Kroger in Brownsburg or Lebanon If I plan the trip. If there were negative stars I would award them. read more

5 times out of 10 I go there to get fried chicken breasts they don't have any. Always one lame excuse after another. Went in there today 10 minutes after a power outage and she told me they couldn't sell me any because it "wasn't up to temperature." I asked her how they are able to sell cold chicken. I get out of my vehicle to get gas, hadn't touched the pump, forgot that my card was in my purse in the passenger seat. As I am grabbing my card I hear a loud speaker of an older woman yelling "stay out of your vehicle when getting gas!!" When I hear this I think nothing of it since I hadn't even touched the pump. As I begin fueling, I go to put my card back into my purse and my gas suddenly stops and it reads "emergency stop" on the tank. At this point I'm still confused and a little bit frustrated as I just wanted to get to my meeting. I go into the gas station to inquire about what happened and the woman rudely states "you didn't listen when I said to stay out of your vehicle!" Okay, now I'm angry. I do not break any laws. I had heard of not being in your cell phones (which I wasnt) and I don't smoke so my anger builds. Not only did I only get $9 worth of gas when I was on empty as I entered, I had to stop and get gas somewhere else. I told him that I am a manager at a local retailer and consistency is what I expect of my team members. Does every time someone gets in their vehicles at a meijer gas station their fuel pump gets emergency stopped? Do team members rudely chastise their customers over the intercom? I see this as classless.
