Another day, another coffee shop checked off my list! I've had my eye on Hattie's Coffee House for a while and finally made the trip--and it was absolutely worth the drive. The space is beyond charming, with plenty of cozy seating and even private rooms upstairs that can be reserved for meetings or special events. The seasonal menu made it so hard to choose, but I'm a sucker for anything banana, so I went with the Grandma's Banana Bread Iced Latte. It was incredibly flavorful and tasted just like the name suggests. From the welcoming staff to the beautiful atmosphere and delicious drinks, Hattie's Coffee House is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. read more

I had a very uncomfortable experience at Hattie's Coffee Shop. I waited about 35 minutes for a single coffee while watching multiple customers who arrived after me get served and leave within 10-15 minutes. I was the only Black customer in the shop at the time, and the pattern of being repeatedly passed over while others were helped first did not feel random. When I asked about my order, I was told they were "busy," but that didn't match what I was seeing--people were consistently being served ahead of me. Being ignored for that long while others moved through quickly made me feel unwelcome and singled out. Whether intentional or not, the way this was handled came across as discriminatory and needs to be addressed. I hope management takes this seriously, looks into what happened, and ensures that all customers are treated fairly and respectfully. read more

I meant to share this review earlier! I visited Hattie's Coffee House for their Harry Potter outdoor movie night. It seemed like a fun way to spend a fall evening. I expected themed drinks but wow, did they go all out with the decorations and little surprises. They had games like a Horcrux Hunt going on, little wands you could use to turn on and off lights, a super fun photo opportunity area, and people in full costume to greet you! The outdoor movie area had some tables and hay bales. Many brought their own chairs. The screen was a bit small and I wish the parking lot lights had been turned off however, probably not possible and none of that really relates to the coffee shop lol. They pulled off a really lovely event that left me with some great memories and a chance to dive back into childhood nostalgia. Also, those macarons were SO good and my friend loved the themed hot chocolate she got. I know that they do other events from time to time. Hats off to the event planner! You can really tell that Hattie's is a wonderful local spot just by the friendly atmosphere and staff that seem to know the regulars and greet the customers when they walk in. This place was very busy and it was great to see that! Located in an old farm house, it's very charming and reminded me of something the Gilmore Girls would have loved. I had the Hey Pumpkin seasonal iced latte and it was excellent- not too sweet and a nice balance of all the fall flavors. Cute and cozy coffee house that seems as if from a Hallmark movie set. Parking can be tricky and if not found within their lot then there is parking at a nearby neighborhood or at a public lot. The addition of the children's playground is great and has benches for caregivers to sit and watch. A great addition would be to place a trash receptacle near the playground. There is a seasonal menu that is always fun to order from. Also, the owner tries to have events from time to time including once a year a Gilmore Girl Event that sells out quickly. read more

Hattie's is an absolutely adorable renovated home in Whitestown! They have seating out front, to the side with picnic tables and all indoors. This is a beautiful remodel and very clean. The staff is incredibly kind and I love all of the items they have for sale from honey, mugs, clothing, candles, etc. I made a custom drink but it's by far one of the greatest coffee drinks I've had! After hearing about this coffee spot we decided to make the drive up and it was so worth it. We went on a Thursday morning around 8:30am. Most parking spots were full but spots opened pretty quickly as people only came for a coffee. We ordered the pumpkin spice latte (hot) and the maple syrup cold foam cold brew, and a muffin. Quick and friendly service. The muffin was delicious and the coffee was wonderful. The inside was so beautiful and had a minimalist farmhouse vibe. A perfect dose to study, work, or just have a chat with friends. There was an outdoor area and I believe here may have been more seating upstairs. But there was ample seating downstairs so we didn't venture upstairs. I'd highly recommend this spot! read more

This is the most insanely overpriced coffee I have ever sipped. I am still in shock. Nearly ten bucks for my basic macadamia latte with nut milk, did they craft the ingredients all in house? No, the syrups are pumped from plastic bottles. Are they making their own cashew milk like Provider in times past providing a perfectionist treat to the pallet? Well not that either. Single origin coffee using some specialty low volume roastery, you know the answer already. I'm boggled in the mind how anyone can come here on purpose to drop double the cash a Panera Bread latte costs. It is a cute atmosphere, large and welcome space, parking on site, pleasant staff, and menu offering some variety, teas, and enough flavors to please the kids. Been wanting to try this place for a while. Came on a Saturday morning around 9 am. Smallish parking lot and there were no spaces. We were going to leave but then a spot opened up. The inside is a bit smaller but nice. There is an upstairs with a large table that seats about 10 and some nice wingback chairs. Not sure if we were supposed to but we sat upstairs all by ourselves. As for the coffee, my wife liked her Iced Vanilla Latte and I thought my Mocha was good, a bit weak but still tasty. The cranberry muffin was good. Overall, a nice place but probably would come when the weather is nicer so we could sit outside if needed. read more

I just adore this little coffee shop! I've been here a couple times and there's always plenty of seating. Now that the weather is getting nicer I highly recommend grabbing one of the tables outside. The baristas have been so nice and quick! I got the golden latte the first time and it was incredible. The real show stopper, for me, was the grilled cheese and tomato soup! Super cute coffee shop that is located in a renovated house. Maple parking AND a fire pit AND a playground in the back! What more could you want. Perfect to bring the kids along. Drinks, goodies to eat, gift shop and a kids book area. This place is a gem. Ample seating inside as well. I would love to come back when we had more time so my boys and I could just chill. We made a pit stop before a trick or treating event and took advantage of their Hogwarts themed drinks. My son got the lemonade with sparkles and I tried the apple latte. Both delicious. Hatties Coffee House is absolutely adorable. The shop sits in a freshly renovated upscale farmhouse. Lovely umbrella-covered picnic tables surround the outside for guests and people with dogs. Inside, the decor is local themed with photos of old Whitestown and maps of Indiana. Fresh flowers sit on the tables. There are about ten tables and seating areas downstairs and upstairs there is a larger table for meeting or larger groups. The place was alive with friends having coffee, people having business meetings or working on laptops. There is a coffee/snack counter in the rear of the store. The clerks are super friendly and helpful. It was too hot outside for coffee, so I ordered a La Croix and a bagel with cream cheese. My granddaughter found a bag of Goldfish to snack on. They offer a small menu of breakfast items. We climbed into comfy chairs and awaited for our bagel. The bagel came out toasted with a perfect amount of cream cheese. The bagel did not taste freshly baked, but was ok. There is a little gift area that sells local honey, Hattie themed logo wear, artisan cards and more. There is parking for about 16 cars. I'm so impressed. First of all, the building looks great and the decor is lovely. The staff was incredibly kind. What a cute place! I am never in the Whitestown area as I live closer to downtown, but at the start of a road trip, I popped in here looking for something a more local than Starbucks. I am kind of picky when it comes to my coffee, especially how sweet they are. I love a little flavor, but not too much syrup. These guys hit it right on the head! This is especially hard to find in seasonal drinks, but I took a risk and I really loved it. I took my first sip of the drink and had to post immediately. When brother and sister on team coffee and tea suggested i try this new coffee shop down the street, i had to go. They waited 80 minutes in line on opening day and still said it was worth it to support local. The parking lot wraps around the building with the entrance on the north side. Modern farmhouse vibes in and out. Two rooms allow for work or chatting and there's an upstairs that currently can be rented out for conference. Word is the upstairs will eventually turn into a public space as well. Walked up to the counter and the staff were very cheerful and helpful. Opted for the seasonal winter spice latte which was as if gingerbread and cafe miel had a baby. It hit the spot and i was sad when i had no more to sip on. I am now remembering why I did not come back as quickly. Love the coffee options, however the coffee is weak. A bit watery. I am more of a medium coffee drinker. I tried the black coffee and a special latte. I was disappointed. I really think this is an easy fix and would love to see a change to support this business! I didn't know which latte I wanted and had a bunch of questions and they were patient and kind in their answers and help. The latte I ended up getting was well made and delicious! You can tell they use quality ingredients. I went there to work and I had a nice spot set up. My only complaint was it was a little loud in there due to it being pretty full. This is SUCH a cute new little coffee shop in Whitestown. I love the cozy home atmosphere and the friendly people that work here. I have been here a few times since their grand opening and love seeing them figure out their groove and I have never seen less than 10 people here at a time. They are always busy but they have plenty of seating. I just wish they had more parking but there are many walking distance spots to park and I know they can't do much about the parking. Hattie's has become a staple for me. There is SO MUCH seating inside and out, and the coffee is great. Food can sometimes take a minute when they're busy, but it's worth it! I typically visit on weekday afternoons, and I hardly ever have difficulty finding seating. Parking, on the other hand, can be hard to find.
