There's plenty of other times to go that should fit anyone's busy schedule. All instructors are friendly & outgoing with challenging classes. They switch up classes so it's not the same routine each time. I always feel like I've gotten my ass kicked (in a good way) every class! Their schedule is on the Mindbody app. & they have great seminars almost monthly. If you're into yoga or want to try something new they offer a discounted price for new members so check them out.

Vinyassa with Tessa was slow paced enough so that even a beginner could follow along yet I left knowing I had a great workout/stretch. The studio is clean and spacious and all the props you may need are readily available. Signing up online for a drop in class was very easy and reasonably priced.

They…read moredon't seem to have parking so you have to park on the street (1 hour parking, was a bit worried I may get towed as the class is an hour long and I was there a bit early) which was easy enough on a Monday morning at 8:45am before the 9am class started, but I imagine it's tougher to find parking space later in the day and on weekends. The energy in the studio was fantastic. It's one large room with lovely wood floors that they've separated into a front desk and lounge area and the practice space in the back. Personal belongings can be stored up front in a cubby sort of setup while class is in progress. I assume they lock the door during class, and like that the area where our things are kept are in view from the space we flow in. The practice space was kept at a low level of light, which I enjoy. It was not a hot yoga class, I don't believe those are offered at this studio. Another yogi asked for the AC to be turned up before practice started which the studio obliged; they seem very accommodating. There's a big shelf full of blocks, bolsters, and whatever other sort of props you could hope to have available. The practice area is spacious and folks are respectful and give each other plenty of space even in a busy class like the one I joined. The class was taught by a yogi named Julia, it was a vinyasa practice which I quite enjoyed. She was kind enough to ask before practice began if anyone had any special requests. There weren't any, so she lead us through a well-balanced practice (I would've loved more back bending/heart openers, but I know that's not everyone's thing). I'm more advanced in my practice and she offered loads of modifications that suited my preferences. Her voice was soothing and I liked the, "I am present. I am complete," affirmation that she paired along with the in breaths and out breaths. A cute, chill little studio in a nice spot. It seems like they have a nice variety of class offerings based on their online schedule. I'll definitely be going back!

Just up the road from Ashlawn Farms Coffee in a most picturesque section of Old Lyme, stone walls and multigenerational farms lead you to a farm with a small demure sign. "Yoga" it simply says. Driving slowly onto the property as requested on the website (animals live on the farm and slow driving is requested to protect them) down a long winding driveway through the farm towards, yes, a Big Red Barn rimmed in white holiday lights and surrounded by more old stone walls. The building itself, though looking like an old barn is new (or perhaps just gutted and rebuilt?) so new that one smells fresh unfinished wood inside. The interior is gorgeous with unfinished wide board wood walls, wood flooring, vintage style lighting with old style bulbs for warm glow, and huge picture windows. The crowd as well as the instructor was warm and welcoming. I was so nervous that I would be judged in this very wealthy area for not having the new style brand name yoga pants, or for being a curly headed slightly ethnic looking gal in the land of the whites, or for having a rusty dented up 20 year old honda. Nothing could be further from what I experienced. Diverse body types, friendly mellow people, normal workout clothes, and a very communal type class. Joan engaged us in introductions and had a light and fun attitude throughout the class. To me, it was exactly the right amount of meditative vibe, prompts to release stress, etc, that one expects with yoga without being too spirit chakra pseudo science. Most interesting was a series of balance poses in which we all gathered in a circle, and linked arms. That was different and really lovely to create a sense of community, and to make me feel even more welcome. The class itself was challenging (for me, having not done yoga in years) and yet I felt like I could keep up, slow down if I needed, and follow along. One of the corrections made on my pose was pretty amazing, ad helped my body click. Can't wait to try a daytime class to see the views out those big windows.

I came to lift, and boy did I come to the right place! Jared, the owner, is a master lifter and you can tell he put together the lifting area exactly how he would want it! There are multiple jerk boxes, squat racks, platforms and tons of plates! And all in kg! I was impressed by his facility for sure. Drop-ins are a reasonable priced at $15, and bc I'll be back he gave me the first drop in free. I'm considering a move back to ri, and if I do you can be sure this will be a place I will consider calling home base!

This indoor sporting complex is just a few minutes from I-95. There seemed to be a good amount of…read moreparking. My son came here for indoor lacrosse. It was big enough for the girls to practice on one side and the boys in the other. It had turf on the field. The perimeter had a waiting area (like an ice rink) with some seating and tables and one wickedly cool rocking chair that was repurposed from old barrels. Also there was a guy there with a relacing machine for the lacrosse sticks. Not sure if that's permanently there. So glad that the kids have somewhere to play/practice w/o getting wet and muddy in bad weather.

When we walked in the owner was extremely welcoming and explained the products and how they were 100% American made. They had a nice assortment of scarfs, gloves, coasters, SteamPunk-style lamps, kids clothing, hammocks (canvas style), throws, and candles. The owner even asked our opinion on stocking the shelves with additional items which showed she cared what her clientele wanted. We purchased a couple of items and went on our merry way. I think this place has huge potential and expanding some of the offerings will make this place a go to stop for us for not only our own collection but for gifts as well.
