Melanie is an artist with her floral arrangements. I was a bride on a budget, but I also have fancy taste, so finding Melanie's pocketbook-friendly flowers was a god-send! I was able to buy all the floral arrangements I wanted/needed at a fraction of the cost of other vendors. For those looking for a more personalized experience, Melanie does also do full wedding florals, but for me the a la carte options of the PBF was a perfect match. Even though we only spoke twice on the phone, she captured the exact look and feel I was going for with my flowers. I loved the minimalism of the drop vases and then supplemented that with the Aisle to Table flowers. I loved that these were designed for the transition from ceremony to reception without having to purchase separate flowers for each part of the wedding. I was so happy with my pocketbook friendly wedding flowers from Melanie! I was very stressed about planning the flowers for my wedding because I don't know enough about flowers to have any preferences. I just wanted the setting to look nice and to spend as little time and money on this aspect of the wedding as possible. The pocketbook friendly package was so perfect for me - it was a blessing to not have to come up with specific choices, to just name some colors I liked and a general vibe. Melanie created the most stunning flowers for our wedding - exactly what we had pictured! So vibrant and exuberant and lovely. I wish we could have kept them all!!! During our initial meeting about six months before the wedding I shared a Pinterest board with several examples of the colors and styles of flowers we liked. We wanted bright oranges, corals, and magentas with greens, featuring my favorite flowers, dahlias, and my mother's favorite, Gerbera daisies. To celebrate our Jewish and Indian cultures, we also asked Melanie to create a hybrid chuppah/mandap (canopy) with flowers across the top and hanging flower garlands, draped with colorful silk sarees. Melanie was always friendly in our email communications and accommodated the changes we requested to our original estimate. While she didn't always reply promptly, I could tell that she was inspired and excited by our color palette (especially after doing white florals for so many weddings). And she delivered! Melanie created the most gorgeous, lush bouquets for me and my bridesmaids; wrapped flowers for our hair; a beautiful basket for our flower girl; exuberant flower box centerpieces; and numerous other lovely touches like trailing vines and hanging garlands. She generously let us take a few centerpieces boxes and bud vases home with us as keepsakes. Her prices were reasonable especially considering that she brought extra florals to improvise on the day of the wedding and stayed after the ceremony to repurpose the florals for the dinner and dancing reception. Our wedding planner suggested Melanie as a florist for our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We wanted beautiful, tasteful blooms (don't we all?) but had a limited budget for florals. One of the things that's amazing about Melanie is that she does incredible, luxurious flowers, and also has a variety of price points. We did her "pocketbook friendly package" which turned out to be a perfect fit. We live on the East Coast, and so Melanie and I emailed back and forth half a dozen times and then had a lengthy conversation on the phone about styles and design. I sent her photos that I liked and we chatted back and forth some more. She was incredibly responsive and came up with creative ideas on how to maximize our budget. Example: the beautiful hobnail vases that hung on the aisle chairs during our ceremony were then moved to our dinner tables, to serve as centerpieces. I never imagined that I'd get emotional over my flowers, but gasped when I saw the bouquet for the first time. It was everything that I could have imagined. Melanie is a top-of-the line floral designer and artist who is kind enough to work with her clients to find a budget that works for them - and I am so grateful! Melanie provided the florals for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, and she did a fantastic job. We knew from the start that we wanted something a little different for the wedding day -- I asked for lots of greenery rather than flowers, "the kinds of things you might find on a hike in the PNW." My MIL, on the other hand, requested softer pieces with more white/neutral blooms incorporated for the rehearsal dinner. Melanie found a way to create a floral landscape where the rehearsal dinner centerpieces were re-used as aisle centerpieces during our ceremony, and it all blended together seamlessly! The table centerpieces during our wedding were absolutely killer. Melanie incorporated wild blackberries, mushrooms, fiddlehead ferns, and various kinds of greenery to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Many guests came to us to express their delight over them -- one guest realized the blackberries were real and ate all the ripe ones at her table! Melanie also created a beautiful wild-looking arbor to go with our forest wedding ceremony. We did many of our family photos in front of it because it was incredible. We would absolutely use Melanie for a future event and recommend her to anyone getting married. She's pleasant, kind, professional, easy to work with (she created an entire visual proposal based on the pics I sent her), and so thorough, down to to the last detail of our vision. read more

We hired Melanie semi-last minute for our plan B COVID wedding plan and are so happy we did! We found her through a recommendation from our vendor as well as a referral from a family member. We provided her with a rough vision and colors and let her run with the rest. All of the flowers turned out so well! Our favorite was the grand floral garland hung in the church to frame the altar. I needed to order flowers for a friend on Bainbridge Island that had just gotten some bad news and did a simple google search. After looking at the website, I gave Melanie a call. She was incredibly helpful! I gave her examples from her website of what I thought my friend would like & she took it from there. I asked if there was any way she could could include some sort of nice dog treat & she was more than willing. She's got an incredible sense of color and style, and perfectly captured the rustic, old-world aesthetic we were aiming for.
