Another person picked up, I explained what had just happened and said I didn't know what this was about and why the other person had transferred. This is the answer I've got: "Because I am the Boss! " At that point I said " OK, you may be her boss but not my boss." Can you please tell me what this charge is about? I haven't been there is years. Her answer, yelling: "Screw it! I'll send you to collection!" and hung up. Collections for what? They will not even tell me, and I am sure I do not owe them anything. Now, what do I do? Who do I talk to? I am at a loss here. When I walked up to the desk I asked if they take health first insurance. I was told "I think so." After getting copies of my drivers license no one ever asked for my insurance card. Strange... So I offered a copy of my insurance card and it was grudgingly taken. Then the office manager came out and said no, no, no, we don't take health first insurance because they refuse to pay us. They are an HMO and won't pay. You have to pay cash. It is $50. So I paid $50 on my American Express, which would be the same price as the walk in clinic at health first. But the line there was over 2 hours. At this point I was handed a copy of a non-disparagement form. I've never seen one of these nor would I ever sign it. It basically holds me liable for any negative comment I would ever make about the practice even if it were a justified comment. That's ridiculous. It's like a gag order for doing nothing wrong. Immediately my antenna went up. I asked the lady at the desk if they had a lot of people saying bad things about them and she replied I've never seen one. I told her that wasn't my question. And she said I don't know. But the doctor will not see you unless you sign it. At which point I had her refund my credit card and left. I will never go back again. Don't waste your time here.

Despite never being a patient myself, I was indirectly contacted through my workplace regarding personal details that could only have come from private records. It's disturbing to think a medical office would reach beyond its walls like that -- whether out of spite or carelessness, it's completely unacceptable. No patient (or anyone connected to one) should ever have to worry that their private information might be weaponized over a review. I don't trust this clinic with a name, let alone health information.

However, we find ourselves in a state of distress due to our experience with The Birth Suites at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Approximately 5 hours before our scheduled check-in, we were informed that her appointment had been canceled and another person had taken her spot. We had made significant preparations, including boarding our dog and paying $405 upfront, to ensure we could bond with our newborn for at least a week and a half without any interference. The cancellation of our appointment has left us not only disappointed but also deeply disheartened and frustrated. This turn of events, especially considering the lack of availability for the coming weeks, has been a significant blow to our hopes and plans. We wish they had coordinated this better and not authorized the appointment to be canceled on us 5 hours beforehand.
