Having grown up in Anderson I always look for an opportunity to give business to those in my…read morehometown. I was referred to this company by a neighbor (from Anderson) and called to inquire about 84" bathroom cabinets. I was informed I needed to come into the showroom, which I did. After selecting a cabinet, I was told the owner was having surgery and would have to call me with a price the following week. TWO weeks later I called and they said they'd call me back. I called again that week only to be told he would call me back that day. It has been four weeks now and while I've moved on and found a bathroom vanity elsewhere, I wanted to warn people about the horrible customer service experience I had. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS TELL YOU EVERYTHING... Mark Alexander -…read moreowns property in Frankton, IN. We called in June 2016 about the apartment for rent on Sigler street. Talked to a lady at the kitchen store he owns. She was extremely rude to us on the phone because she "had a customer" she was already working with. My wife is one of the nicest, most professional people I know and this lady was highly rude, hanging up on her. My wife called back the next day and talked to Mark Alexander, hoping he could tell her about hte apartment. He was also very flat and unhelpful. My wife tried to tell him about her treatment from the rude lady at the store and he told my wife that she "wasn't making a very good impression" herself! I have no idea what kind of work these people do, but given their demeanor, I wouldn't give them a dollar based on their contempt for the average caller. How are these people in business? I guess if you have $20,000 you want to put on a kitchen, then they play nice?

We recently completed a shower replacement project, upgrading the hardware, flooring, and tilework,…read moreand installing new dual showerheads with a hand wand. The Kohler hardware was purchased from Donnie Briggs at Kohler, and the tilework and installation was done by Mark Groce. Mark has strong attention to detail from getting the grout mix and color to carefully placing each tile. The process could take a while since some of the items needed may need to be custom cut. We're incredibly happy with the craftsmanship and quality of the finished shower. I highly recommend both Donnie Briggs for hardware and Mark Groce for his construction/installation work and both of them are great with design and attention to detail. I recommend future clients to be involved in the construction process, as it helps with communication and decisions. I would gladly work with both Donnie and Mark again for any future projects.

She knew it wasn't returnable and didn't give me the heads up that I shouldn't take a chance that it wouldn't fit and I would be stuck with it. On top of that, she told the contractor that I wanted the brick tile stacked in my shower when I explicitly told her that I wanted it horizontal brick pattern. So I'm stuck with that too. Even after I spent all that money at the Kohler store the manager and the owner, Joe Rotskoff, were such jerks and acknowledge how I was misled and ripped off. I would not recommend anybody to deal with the Kohler store in Indianapolis.

Workers showed up at random times, left without telling me when they would be back and did not clean up after themselves. Job was finally finished and due to not caulking the shower, I was left with a musty smell in my bathroom. Now just over a year later, the French door threshold is moving when stepped on and the laminate installed just inside the door is loose and squeaking. i have cleaned up black stuff at the base of the door twice. I am afraid water has gotten in. I called Ace 2 times and was told I would get a call back both times. I have given up and called another company to repair the door and flooring that is just over 1 year old. Do not recommend.

This past summer I recently hired a local contractor in Anderson, Indiana to complete our exterior…read moreremodel on our home. Originally, we wanted a new roof, some type of exterior siding (we ended up going with vinyl) and new windows. As like many people this was our wish list. I started making calls as I was told by family members to get three estimates, fortunately this was no small task. The first few I called did not answer or the phone was disconnected. I know contractors are busy people but I wanted to speak to an ACTUAL PERSON instead of a voicemail. Long story short I finally reached two contractors and Ace being my third. First guy shows up 20 minutes late to our appointment, I understand this but a courtesy call letting me know he was running behind would have went a long way. Second contactor held his appointment and showed up on time. My third and final call was based on a BBB recommendation for Ace that I found on the internet. The first two contractors I found on the internet but without a BBB referral. Just to cut to the chase we ended up doing the roof and the vinyl siding. We chose the Owens Corning duration estate gray, and went with a lighter siding that held a slight hint of blue. (beautiful). Initially our goal was to complete the windows as well, however this put us over budget. We are hoping to hire Ace back next year to complete the windows. I was very pleased with how Joe from Ace Construction explained the estimate while sitting at our kitchen table, this took over two hours, we had a lot of questions. This being the single biggest reason we hired Joe with Ace. The other two companies did not take the time to explain the products and how each product is used during the roofing process. One company mailed the estimate and the other seemed to be in a rush. In closing the job turned out wonderful, and the color combination Joe helped us choose exceeded our expectations. My husband and I are a little order and after hearing so many horror stories of people being ripped off from contractors I felt compelled to let people know that Ace Construction stands behind their word, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for work to be completed.
