Our invitations and thank you cards came out absolutely gorgeous!!! Melinda was very creative and had beautiful options to show us when we first met. We were quickly able to find a design that matched what we were looking for and placed the order. Melinda produced everything in very reasonable time and the finished product (addressed envelopes too!) was gorgeous ...we got so many compliments!! after the wedding, we ordered thank you cards with some pictures that matched the style and theme of invites, and they too were gorgeous! I would not hesitate to use Melinda's services again for any printed cards that I need in the future. Her studio is also easy to get to and conveniently located, and very warm and quaint with many choices well displayed. Highly recommend!!! read more

Melinda created the perfect invitation for our engagement party! Our party was on a boat and created the perfect ticket invitation to go along with our theme! She was super easy to meet with and very sweet throughout the whole process!! I highly recommended Melinda, for any invitations, but especially creative and elegant ones!! I arrived for my appointment and was giving my mother directions on how to get there because this location is very difficult to get to and is hidden. I really am concerned when only you is not the name listed on the signage. She uses a different name and added its very small at the end where it isn't visible. If you miss the service road your lost. In which this happened to my mother who ended up locked into a different location. The lady I met with didn't even acknowledge that I had an appointment. I was We started browsing invitations and I was showing her pictures of what I had in mind and she did not show interest in what I wanted. She gave me books that did not include any style I wanted. She was very rude and unpleasant. She asked me my budget and I did not give her one. Then said I hope you plan on spending $2,500. Needless to say I will not be going back. read more

Established in 1998.

Only You was established as a personalized gift store and as the years went on, the focus has been mainly custom printed/designed invitations and engraved gifts (on site). As of January 2017, the business is NOW located in Bohemia in a larger invitation salon/showroom with plenty of parking offering the best of everything. As one of the only Mariposa dealers on Long Island that engraves, we also offer our very own line of glittered monogram wine and champagne glasses. Also new to this location is MelindaCantorDesigns. Featuring totally custom invitation designs made just for you with all the lush papers and printing processes you could ask for. Make an appointment for your special occasion, we will make you event shine.

Meet the Business Owner: Melinda C.

A career of experience in Advertising, Marketing, Design, Graphic Arts has lead up this very creative business. Established in her garage, Only You was born out of Melinda's love of handmade personalized gifts and over the years, developed a clientele that loved her design (and copywriting) abilities when sitting down to create invitations for their special occasion. Great gift wrapping has been a nuance that has been a staple for Only You since inception. Every gift leaves the store looking so dressed up that the recipient usually does not want to open it. This talent has landed Melinda on NBC, CBS, Mashable.com, News12 and Newsday. After 19 years in the retail business, Melinda is looking forward to her new NEW adventure; Melinda Cantor Designs where she will include her very own invitation designs.

Two weeks ago, I ordered a custom "University Mom" T-shirt from this local tee shirt shop for my…read moreson's graduation weekend. I specifically asked them to replicate a shirt I already had in a larger size using the same school colors. I gave them the original tee shirt. Unfortunately, when I put it in the next day, the colors were wrong -- violet instead of royal blue. I immediately called the shop and was told I would receive a refund. Since this was graduation weekend and we were taking family pictures that day, I wore the shirt because I had no other option at that point. When I went to the shop for the refund, they asked me for the shirt back but I did not have it with me. It never dawned on me to return a custom made tee shirt. Nor did they ask me to bring it with me when I called to let them know of the error. Instead of simply asking me to bring it back, the owner and employees were incredibly rude, condescending, and argumentative. At one point one employee said "you wouldn't go to Kohls for a refund without the item." Wow! I was spoken to like I was trying to scam them over a shirt THEY made incorrectly. The comments, rude looks, and overall attitude were completely unnecessary and honestly shocking. If someone had kindly said, "No problem, just bring the shirt back and we'll refund you," this review would not exist. Instead, I was embarrassed and treated terribly over what was clearly a misunderstanding. They also tried blaming me for a "short turnaround," even though I had gone into the shop weeks earlier to ask if they could handle the order and they assured me they could. My husband returned the shirt an hour later. Mistakes happen. Wrong colors happen. But there is absolutely no excuse for treating customers the way I was treated. I always try to support local businesses, but after this experience, I will never return.

Kevin (the owner), Justin and John have terrible customer service and follow thru! I needed my step & repeat to be delivered yesterday. They knew this date from the time I ordered it and this was NOT a rush job. It's a good thing I called yesterday about noon to check on its status! They went back and forth with me over the next few hours on whether or not it could be delivered by 6pm and increased the delivery fee from $10 to $75. Then to top it off, I had told Justin from the time I placed the order that the step & repeat would then need to be sent to Salt Lake City on our end. I was deciding between checking it or shipping it and also asked Kevin for recommendations to get it back and forth. He recommended that I don't throw out the box or case that it comes in and reuse. Ha! It didn't come in a box or a case, just plastic wrap. The step & repeat rolled up is 8 ft long! When I called him about this, he didn't care. Instead said that he would look into it. He has yet to call me back but instead had Justin call me to ask for the second half of the payment. Oh and he was willing to take off just $10 from the delivery fee for all of the inconvenience. I kept telling them that I don't care about the $10 but I do care that it's not in a box or a case. I then spent additional time figuring out how I can get an 8ft long box!! Turns out that FedEx can build custom boxes; however, you do have to bring it to their store. My colleague then had to walk the 8ft roll down the street in Manhattan to get a box and get it shipped instead of FedEx picking it up at our office per usual. DO NOT USE PRINTARAMA. Fingers crossed the step & repeat looks as it should. I was too afraid to open it and not be able to get it rolled back up with plastic wrap to ship.

Her and her husband, Brian Carr, now run the business and provide full copying services. What we find extremely useful is that we can email our documents to them and we can pick them up that day. We had used the "big box" copy centers in the past... The kids that work in those stores have no idea, or concern with what you need. Brian does! Personal service is great!

I fully take responsibility for that. However, when I returned, both the man and woman working there were insensitive, dismissive, and unprofessional. I was told several calls had been made and that the cards had been thrown away because they are "not a storage facility." My number has not changed, and I never received any calls. My email was also available, yet no attempt was made to contact me that way. I understand mistakes happen, but customer service goes both ways. A credit toward a new order or simply handling the situation with professionalism and compassion would have gone a long way. You don't have to like every customer, but respect and professionalism should never be overlooked. How a business treats people during difficult times says a lot about its values.

My daughters wedding invitations were ready a week early and are gorgeous. Her location is visible from Sunrise Highway on the service road. Our experience of selecting invitations at Only You Gifts for my daughter's wedding was completely positive. Being an invitation snob, I would never order invitations on line, you need to feel the paper quality to know what you are getting. Melinda is extremely helpful and really knows her business. We spent hours looking at every book and ended up customizing one of the beautiful invitations that had been done and is on display. We had the calligraphy done by Melinda as well.
