Asked her to mention the mix up to whoever scheduled us for awareness as I was very disappointed and could have arrived later. Minutes later staff said "oh the next appt is yours to my friend" then said staff showed us to the dressing area. Staff then expressed to me it was probably the owner who booked the appt and that she had no plans to tell her of the mix up bc of that. I thought just the opposite and that constructive feedback is important for awareness especially so improvements could be made. Staff explained that she now was able to allow me to use the steam shower and that we could use it at the same time. Puzzled, I explained my friend was showering in it now and probably wanted her privacy. Waited again before using the shower but if that were the case I may have just arrived later. Experience was very unsettling for me and it showed a lack of good customer service ability to problem solve in situations such as this. Understand that mix ups occur but disappointed in the way it was handled. No complaints about the service itself as this review is mostly for the front staff experience the day of arrival.

I wish salon professionals were professional enough to just say "That color isn't achievable for your hair/texture" or "We can't get you to that color all at once" or just say something honest. Knowing Sarah doesn't yet have children, I posted in my local mom group simply asking for a few recommendations. I never wanted to hurt her feelings, but I still wanted local suggestions so I figured this was a safe bet to get some recommendations. The next day, just one hour before my scheduled appointment with Sarah, after a harrowing time trying to arrange childcare (I have 3 kids and work full time) I received a text from her thanking me for working with her and wishing me "good luck." Next, I immediately received a text confirming the cancellation of my upcoming appointment. I was leaving for a trip just a few days later. I ended up traveling with really faded, grown out hair and I now have to wait another month to book with anyone decent in town. Honestly, it was really disappointing how she handled this. I'm a business owner too, and if someone isn't satisfied with my services I do my best to understand why and figure out what I can do to help either a) resolve the issue or b) support the transition. Having my appointment cancelled against my will and then having to waste time scrambling to find someone else when a simple conversation could have taken its place was really disheartening. Sucked, tbh.
