All that to say I was super intimidated to take the plunge now, in my late 30s. I started with a Saturday afternoon line dancing workshop. I was immediately put at ease by the friendliness and the diversity of ages, sizes, and shapes of people that I found taking the class with me. After my wonderful experience at the workshop, I signed up for beginning modern jazz. Tracey Durbin is an amazing teacher! I was up-front with her about my lack of experience and nervousness. Over the years, I've trained in company, ballet, jazz, contemporary, stretch classes, private lessons, and so much more. The instruction is exceptional, and every teacher is knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping each dancer reach their full potential. The performance opportunities, especially The Nutcracker and the spring recitals, are always so well organized and create memories that last a lifetime. One of my favorite things about Taylor Academy of Dance is the community. From day one, the dancers were so welcoming and kind, and I immediately felt like I belonged. I've made lifelong friendships here, and some of my favorite memories have come from rehearsals, backstage before performances, dressing room laughs, and celebrating each other's accomplishments. Jill Taylor has created such a positive, supportive environment where every dancer feels valued. She truly cares about her students, not only as dancers but as people, and it shows in everything she does. Over the years, I've also had the privilege of getting to know Mrs. Bert, whose kindness and encouragement have made the studio feel even more like home. In the 10 years that my daughter was at her last studio she never had a friend, but on day one the young girls welcomed her in and made her feel like she has been dancing here for years. Not only were the girls so welcoming Ms.Taylor and her mother, Ms. Bert, treated my daughter like family. Altering my wedding dress was quick and painless. She explained everything she was doing for my understanding and turned each alteration around within just a few days. She installed practical yet beautiful solutions for the bustle for my comfort and style. I have a ballroom gown, so it's BIG, but that was no problem for Lori. My dress came out beautiful and I am so excited to wear it in just a few weeks! I also used Lori to alter my grandmother's wedding dress. It's a delicate dress that was a bit small on me. We added panels, removed the sleeves, cut the length of the dress, and added some beautiful gathering in the waist to create an ankle-length gown with a boat neck style. She helped preserve the style of the dress while making it more comfortable for me. I cannot recommend Lori enough. She's very responsive, listens to your ideas, and gives valuable input based on her expertise. She is also very open to listening to budget constraints and is willing to find solutions that stay within the range you are looking for. 5/5!

Never recognizes her dancer's who are not her favorites. Nina screaming at her students tears them down and does not build them up. One of Nina's assistant is as bad because she helps certain dancer's and disregards the others especially with getting ready for solos or competitions. Walking into Legacy I have never had that experience. Each new person is brought into our family. I have been going to this studio for 9 years and each year brings new experiences, great people, and a whole lot of fun. I've found myself wanting to explore every form of dance that has ever been created and goodness knows this studio has no shortage of them. I'm amazed that in 9 years I have not only expanded on my technique but I never ran out of things to learn.
