Bring ear plugs - I never thought I would say this, but the urinals at Penn Station are no longer the worst restroom faciities I have seen

There are lots of wide cracks in the pavement. We paid $20 for parking and we were given 2 free tickets to get in. I thought it was a little different. They have a six pack maximum you can bring in and the sign said the cooler had to be no larger than 12in x 12in but we saw people that had slightly larger coolers. Be prepared to wait in line for food and beer. I.giggled at the sign on the side of the food stand because it said "fast food." There was nothing fast about it. Although it appeared the workers were working very hard...I just don't think they could cook and fry as quick as demanded. Instead of sitting in the bleachers, I think next time I will take my chair and sit along turn 3.

The Tom Fazio golf course, blessed with an amazing terrain and plenty of water views is one of the prettiest in the Carolinas. Part of the subdivision backs to the Little River Reservoir (think water views, fishing and boating). The club has an excellent chef and the members are friendly, extremely interesting and come from all walks of life. The club and neighborhood have plenty of activities and interest groups for all - including children. Our 9 year old grandson made instant friends in the neighborhood and has happily participated in the tennis camps in the short time we have been here. He plans to take part in the golf clinics as well. The pool is beautiful. What's not to love????

We had carefully discussed the menu with them prior, including doing preliminary tastings deciding on salmon for the meat eaters and a vegetarian pasta entree for the vegetarians which included me and a few of my friends. At the wedding dinner they completely forgot the vegetarian pasta and scrambled to find something to feed us vegetarians. They gave us plain white boiled rice with no sauce and boiled carrots. Apparently this was the best they could do. No joke. For real. I think prisoners at the Penitentiary get much better meals than what I got at my own wedding. I basically went hungry on my own wedding night and to this day every time I think about it, I feel sick to my stomach. They credited us monetarily for the miserable vegetarian "entrees" but didn't seem very apologetic at all. The Treyburn employee we worked with who was responsible for the incredible foulup was a lady with the initials J.D. I'm very happily married, but Treyburn ruined my actual wedding and they really didn't care. I absolutely do NOT recommend Treyburn.

I love going here! And I always look forward to it…read more I've been going to The Viking Experience for 5 years now. This is one of the few renn faire style events where there is a bunch of stuff to actually DO. There is the children's glen with stories and activities for the kids. Axe throwing, fight pit (foam weapons), archery, interacting with members of one of the many period camps, fish slap, strong man (have you ever lifted a log in a competition?), etc. Usually you get to walk around and see things, or simply be entertained, which they have also. Main stage with performances all day, cast put on plays which are always funny, etc. This is by far my most favorite event with more to do than 1 person can do in a day. And there are a ton of vendors with themed and period goods that you can't find anywhere else. If you are just now hearing about it, go check it out.

One of my favorite festivals!!!…read more I've been every year since inception and NC is so lucky to have such a cool experience. It's been really neat to see Village of Drekheim move into its new space as the festival continues to grow. They offer two weekends now in the spring and Yuletide Experience in winter. There is camping available and they have an academy weekend if you want to fully emerge yourself in the experience. You'll see lots of great outfits, they have demonstrations (fighting, food, iron forging, dancing, etc), they have great vendors, animals rescues, and everywhere you turn there is something new to experience. This year I was particularly drawn to the Vikings of Scotland and the Wildefell Wolves. But I always love getting to see some familiar faces at CLAWS, Inc, and learning about the Norwegian Lundehund. Also on the property, Goshen Haven Farm is currently under development. They plan to use the land for educational purposes and breed preservation. Their website says they are going to have bees, chickens, sheep and goats, to be incorporated into the festival, educational programs and farm products.

Cedar Creek Gallery is located in Creedmoor, NC. It is a co-op of artists; some create their work…read moreon the grounds, and others have their items available for sale. It is locally owned and was founded in 1968, when Sid and Pat Oakley converted a former tobacco field into the site. It started small with one building and has since grown over time to many more. Two studios are used for glassblowing, and five studios are for pottery, including a kiln. The gallery is 4,000 Square feet, so there is a lot to see! When you come here, you will pick up on the creative vibe and community that develops as artists support each other. The location is pretty great too as you are away from the hustle and bustle and can just relax in nature whether you are strolling through the garden or just walking to the front door of the gallery. Sometimes when you visit, you can watch the artists work as they create their masterpieces of pottery or glass. The studios allow the public to watch at a safe distance. I like the variety of genres here, as you will find glass, wood, pottery, metal, jewelry, felt and more. Many events and festivals happen throughout the year. The National Tea Pot Show is currently going on through the summer, and it happens once every three years, so it is worth checking out. Pottery and Glass Festivals happen at other times of the year. The Cupful Exhibit is another favorite, featuring creatively designed homemade mugs. The Glass Egg Festival is unique in that the 55 blown-glass, unique eggs are auctioned each year for charity. The employees are always friendly when I've been here to browse or shop, and they help you find what you are looking for. They have a rewards program where, after you spend a certain amount, you get a discount and 20% off an item in your birthday month. I highly recommend making a trip to explore this gallery, as you never know what will catch your eye.

I want to love this place but I can't. If I had one word it would be inconsistent. If you have a…read moregood coach, it's great. But there are lots of teenage coaches and referees who just don't have experience dealing with kids. A good soccer player does not equal a good coach. Overall, the place lacks the organization to be a great option. Most of the time it is too chaotic for kids to learn anything. I'd recommend going somewhere else if you are looking for consistent, quality coaching and fair refereeing. They do "evaluations" of the kids but make no effort to evenly match teams and just stick inexperienced kids together. There are teams every season that are stacked. Parents complain and nothing happens. The owner is very nice and will listen to parents, but he's doing too much to make the soccer program better. The fields are horrible- full of rocks, holes, and huge sand areas. There are plenty of options in the area for soccer. I will say, the option to play inside instead of having practices and games get rained out is a real win though. Now if you're looking for wrestling, this place is great. Many friends have kids that wrestle here and have nothing but great things to say about the coaching.
