Really disappointed with our experience. Ordered a pizza on the light side and it came out BURNED! Almost too dry and hard to eat. Also ordered a salad. It came out with no dressing. Not sure what's going on but not sure we'll be coming back. Quality has really slipped of late. Too many other pizza options in town to put up with this! Gave them another try tonight. Our first meal out after Covid hibernation and they did not disappoint! We sat on the front patio and were lucky enough to have the very delightful Savannah take superior care of us. She was very friendly and inviting, efficient, knowledgeable about the menu and fun! Being gluten free, as well as not being able to tolerate fried food - I am forever grateful for MM as they offer GF pizza (and buns for sandwiches), AND, TA-DA....wings that are oven baked!! Win Win!! The sweet Thai chili wings are incredible. We had the wings, GF pizza and they custom made a jerk chicken sandwich for my boyfriend. Live in Atlanta and go to the Decatur MM all the time...the Auburn location is quite the scene as there really aren't a lot of decent pizza restaurants in the area. Verdict: The pizza is pretty much the same BUT is considerably more expensive. And it will cost you $5.50 for a pint of some Denver brew...and even $4.50 for Yuengling ...a tough sell in a college town full of $2 domestics. read more

One of my favorite pizza restaurants hands-down. In this particular location the staff is super fast and friendly. Pizza is fresh and tastes amazing. Though Mellow Mushroom is in no way shape or form horrible pizza, I am unimpressed by the quality and price of the pizza here. The service in the Auburn location is particularly horrible, there has been multiple occasions where I might as well wait on my own table. Tried this place while in auburn for business, I've been to the Columbus ga location and wanted to give this one a try. It was a Friday afternoon, thankfully it was before the dinner rush, the staff was upbeat, the service was fast, our server was very attentive to refills and our questions, there were poke stops nearby so I could play Pokemon go while we waited. Our pizzas were FRESH...like really fresh and hot, it was some of the best pizza I've ever had actually, this place lives up to mellow mushrooms standards, stop by for a pie while you're in downtown auburn. read more

Great beer, good pizza. I'm what they call a pizza fiend, and I'm pretty sure that this is my new spot for the za in Auburn. The dough is fantastic and the philosopher's pie is dee-lish. So if you're in Columbus and have a craving for pizza, this IS your place to go! Columbus doesn't have a lot of great pizza joints but this is the exception. Despite the fact that it's a chain it has a really nice beer selection including the hard to find Purple Haze (bottled) and some of the better finds in the area on tap. read more

One of my favorite spots in Auburn, for so many reasons. First, the food is delicious. From the "munchies", to the salads and soups, to the PIZZA...can't go wrong with anything. (Also, a lot of vegetarian options). Second, they have a fantastic beer selection. With over 20 beers on tap and a seemingly endless option of bottles/cans, you'll find something you love. And if you can't decide, ask the bartender. They always make great suggestions. Which brings me to number three....they have the best and friendliest service Auburn. Everyone is great! My favorite way to enjoy Mellow is posted up at the bar on any given day, enjoying a cold beer, and watching the game. This might just become your favorite local spot. read more

I had a full size Righteous Portobello Reuben hoagie and a mushroom soup. Soup came first, tasted okay, but it's just as salty as you can't finish it. Hoagie is not recommend. It looks like sub, while it's kind of more fresh. They dipped in sesame on the whole crunchy bread optional on white or wheat. Mozilla cheese mixed with grilled mushroom and thousand islands sauce are good, but I supa dislike the sauerkraut which is a sort of chopped sour pickle. It really tastes like the Chinese sauerkraut made by Chinese cabbage. Honestly, the sour flavor much influenced the taste. Not a good match. read more

Believing consistancy is a devine virtue, I can say with certainty Mellow Mushroom in Auburn, AL is wonderful. Yes it is on the small size for the amount of customers it serves. However, they have a variety of beers exceeding the norm for the area. The staff is terrifically hippy for the most part. I recommend the slice specials. read more

I have always loved coming here when I want to treat myself to a good pizza and some beer cheese. The people are always nice and I know how busy it can get in there but they always keep their cool. However I went with a group of 8 as a "last family meal" type of dinner before our semester ended and when we walked in the lady sat us at a booth for 4. When I asked to move to an empty larger booth at the front near the window she said no that they save those for larger parties. Okay... I get 8 isn't huge but at a 4 person table? Immediately I was unamused and when the waitress came back she slapped her pad of paper on the table to take our orders in a less than enthused manner. I get it, days are long and some people can really suck but our question to move tables was what the issue here was and I was not appreciative of the way she decided to treat us because of a simple question. When another friend showed up she actually happened to bump her with the door when our friend was walking in and the waitress was walking out which suddenly changed her demeanor and she began to be nice to us, but it took that for her to be nice only because she felt bad.
