This was our first trip to this relative new restaurant. We arrived at lunchtime to an empty restaurant with an over abundance of friendly wait staff. My first impression was not good, the Melt is very clean, but stark. The ambience is lacking. I ordered the Rubin and my entire attitude changed; one of the best sandwiches I've experienced in a long while. Four stars for the food and service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Food taste wasn't anything like anticipated. Nacho's were potato chips, think they should tell you. Tomato basil soup had some mystery oil in it, would not mix and was not eatable. Sausage bites were fried and so greasy. I've ate next door at Clean eates And the food is so much better and healthier. Service was Great! Everyone was friendly! DO NOT order the food truck nachos. Stale Lays potato chips, microwaved Velveeta cheese, Oscar Meyer pulled pork, sweet baby Ray's barbecue sauce. The ranch they gave me had the consistency of peanut butter. I turned it upside down and tried to shake it, and it would not come out. The rest of the food was below average. Visited this restaurant for the second time today and again was not impressed with the sandwich. The fried pickles and mac n cheese egg rolls were good, but the chicken parm sandwich, much like the Reuben I had on my first visit, was flavorless. Extremely mid food. Service was great and workers were very nice but the food just isn't it. Tried the fried pickles which were pretty good, food truck nacho (do not recommend, tastes microwaved and served on potato chips), and the buffalo chicken sandwich which was average at best.
