Ate here again with my adult son. The GREAT WHITE pizza was better than amazing! Absolutely delicious and the fresh basil added so much to the flavor. Over the last 20+ years, I've never had anything less than an exceptional meal at any Mellow Mushroom. Service was also superb, as we had one of their typically great servers. Though we sat outside for a change, it was very pleasant and everything was clean, with no trash or plates on any of the other open tables. Will I go back? You bet! Tried eating here on Halloween night. Understandably, they were very busy with to-go orders. When we walked in at 7pm, there was nobody sitting at any of the tables. When we asked to sit down, we were told because they were so busy with to go's that it would take 75-90 minutes to make our food. I asked them why they didn't prioritize dine-in customers and was told "It's all the same." This is t true...90 minute waits can be quoted to pick-up orders and they can wait at home u til it's time to pick up. Your dine in customers would have to sit there for 90 minutes with no food. How hard is it to move a dine-in ticket to the front of the line? We were there to support your servers...dis they just not make any tips all night? This was such bad customer service and could have been easily avoided. Very disappointed. read more

I actually have not eaten inside at this location. The few times I've gotten to go the service has been pretty fast. I do appreciate the decor of the restaurant. It's very on theme and on brand with the restaurant. I like the thai chicken pizza the most, although I actually come here for the bruschetta. I actually started eating bruschetta and loving it because of Mellow mushroom. I will give me more updated and detailed review once I dine in at the actual restaurant. Haven't been to a Mellow Mushroom is a few years, particularly since moving to this area from Marietta. Had lunch with a friend today, splitting a medium House Special pizza. Was it good? No... it was GREAT!!! Young lady that served us was excellent and the manager came by to see how we were doing. I'm Marco, Papa John's and Pizza Hutted out quite frankly. Not greasy, all ingredients fresh and very, very tasty. And unlike all the other pizza joints, not even a hint of indigestion afterwards. Maybe they don't have one of those specials where you get a free pizza when you pay for the first one, honestly I don't know if they have specials or not. But it seems to me I'd rather have something Worth eating than to end up being lured in for a deal on something sub grade and all but nasty. As someone with an allergy i had requested their process of handling said allergy- this Mellow location does not seem to be trained in how to properly handle gluten. I had to walk the staff (not the servers fault) through how to handle said allergy and had to ask for basic handling necessities(changing gloves, washing hands up to elbows, changing apron to a clean one, not putting the gluten free pizza in a window for servers filled with other none gluten-free items) to make sure i was not exposed to my allergy. Gluten allergies are just as serious as any other allergy and will send me to the hospital as easily as a peanut allergy. read more

Food was pretty standard, but just what I wanted. I had the avocado hoagie and musroom soup. Both delicious and nothing really to mess up. The tvs had an error message up the entire time. Service was great. Ordered their special new drink and it certainly was not lacking in ice but everything else. For almost $11 I want my strawberries and at least the drink to cover the ice! A couple buddies and I stopped at this Mellow Mushroom in Woodstock after playing a round of golf at nearby Towne Lake Hills Golf Club. We came for dinner on a Saturday and the restaurant was busy, inside and out. There were lots of families, to be expected in the 'burbs. A lot of the servers looked young too, like high school or college students. While it was crowded, there was no wait. We were able to grab a booth inside immediately. This Mellow Mushroom is located in a shopping plaza next to the golf course. Like other locations in this chain, the restaurant is colorful on the inside with funky decor. Some of the decor could be described as psychedelic. The interior was clean and the atmosphere was relaxed and laid back. They had a lot of TVs tuned to sports, which I liked. Also, this particular location is relatively newer and nicer than other Mellow Mushrooms I've been to (e.g. Midtown, Powers Ferry). The restaurant sells pizzas in 3 sizes: 10 inches (4 slices), 14 inches (6 slices), and 16 inches (8 slices). They have a nice variety of specialty pizzas (close to 20); everything from Thai-themed with curry chicken to Mediterranean-themed with feta and tzatziki sauce. Most pizzas range in prize from about $13 for a small to $25+ for a large. The three of us got a medium house special pizza for $19.99. The house special comes with everything -- red sauce base with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham, applewood-smoked bacon, mushrooms, black olives, Roma tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and extra mozzarella on top. Mellow Mushroom's crust is basted with garlic butter and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. The pizza came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was good. Very hot with a soft, chewy crust, melty cheese, and fresh toppings piled on to the point where several toppings easily fell off at the grab of a slice. The ground beef was tasty and I enjoyed the big, thick slices of tomato. The crust was flavorful too. I ended up taking a slice home. I reheated it for dinner a couple nights later and it was still A-OK. My buddies got a pitcher of beer as well. Service was good and we enjoyed our quick meal. Along with pizza, Mellow Mushroom also sells snacks, salads, hoagies, burgers, and calzones. The food here is excellent (consistent with other Mellow Mushroom locations). The wait staff is very friendly and check back often. They lost a star because I went on trivia night. If you want to have any conversation at your table, don't go on trivia night. The DJ is excessively loud and he talks too much. It is also blasted to the outside tables. The waitress couldn't hear my order even though I was pointing to the menu as I ordered and was shouting the details to her. My order came out wrong (not her fault) the DJ was droning on and on about people not cheating or using cell phones during the game. We spoke to the waitress and she asked him to lower the volume. My table was trying to have conversation but the music and DJ talking were too loud to compete. We ate quickly, got drinks to go and got out of there. read more

I had not visited this Mellow Mushroom location in years as was never impressed with the service or the pizza, but I decided to try it this past Friday night as it is right down the street. I ordered online for curbside pick up. All that was great and as expected. The issue I had was with the pizza. To start, the grease sitting on top was excessive. I had to blot it before even trying. I had requested light red sauce and there was so much red sauce on the pizza my family wouldn't eat it. I looked back at my order to see if I had requested extra, but did not. The last thing was the cheese. The cheese was not distributed over the pizza and there was clumps in areas and no cheese in other areas. The pizza was definitely not made with love. We were here for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The waitress was nice however food took entirely way to long to come out. We ordered an appetizer and didn't get that until 30 minutes later, our pizza didn't come out until another 30 minutes later. When the pizza DID come out, the dough was chewy and VERY greasy. Not to mention, when we were waiting for our appetizer, it seemed like everyone in the kitchen was just talking and laughing rather than working. This is my second time coming to this location and neither experience has been great. We were a large group on a Saturday afternoon there to celebrate a granddaughter's birthday. The wait staff could not have been more pleasant, more on top of things than the young lady working our group. The pizza's were good, the wait staff even handled the inevitable trash that youth birthdays create, she took care with a smile than never left her face.
