A few things! This place just celebrated their two year anniversary and the owners are two young women that are a force to be reckon with! TRUST AND BELIEVE I have made my rounds and visited several nail salons and this one hit the spot. I'm a no chip manicure/regular pedicure girl and can absolutely rely on these ladies to do the job right! A FRIENDLY FYI, they are by appointment only which I know isn't the standard since most nail salons allow walk ins. That said, I've sat at those nail salons WITH an appointment and have still waited FOREVER. Made an appointment online the night before for a deluxe pedicure. They were ready when I arrived at appointment time. No wait. Mia did a lovely job ony feet. She was indeed mellow but more importantly careful and thorough. She took her time and even though the salon was busy on the Saturday before Christmas I did not feel rushed at all. This review is not for a manicure or pedicure that I received, but rather the lack of one. I've driven by this salon for a few years, and I thought I would stop in once to get a pedicure and check them out. I arrived late morning on a Monday. In the front of the store there were two staff and only one customer. I was told that they could not accommodate my request for a pedicure because they were too busy and completely booked for today. Supposedly, they are by appointment only, or so I was told. This really baffled me since there was only one customer in the store, and all of the stations were empty. Well okay, I'll just keep moving on down the road! After all, there are as many nail salons as there are McDonald's on every corner. I guess this is one small business that doesn't need customers. Found a great nail salon in the strip mall behind Walgreens on Milwaukee Avenue and 137 in Libertyville. They did a great job at a reasonable price! read more

I've driven by this place a few times and finally decided to make an appointment for a pedicure. The person doing my nails was awful she not only admitted while working on my nails/feet that she doesn't like doing pedicures. It made me very uncomfortable to have someone who self admitted that she does not like doing pedicures doing my pedicure. And I feel like this led to me have a very bad experience here. She was really rough on my nails and caused me to have a bruise under my nail bed that took months to fully heal. I will never go back here. read more

Very disappointed in the customer service. I made an appointment over the phone and the appointment was not made properly on their end. Instead and seeing how they could remedy the issue I was asked if I would like to cancel the other appointment. The women on the phone was extremely dismissive. My daughter and I went to get our nails done, and they did an amazing job. They made sure we were happy with our nails during the entire process. I really appreciated that my daughter's nail tech asked if she had a nut allergy before using the lotion with almond oil. Not a lot of people would take that into consideration, and we were very thankful since my daughter does have a severe nut allergy. We will be going back. read more

I've been here twice. First was a dip and second time was for a dip and pedicure. Each time my nails broke and couldn't even make it to week 3. The first time they broke I called and was told their policy is up to three weeks guarantee and could come in for repair. I went in and had it repaired with no issues. When I called for a repair appointment the second time this occurred I had someone unsure of the answer telling me they think it's a week policy but then put the owner on the phone. The owner then told me it's a one week policy. I asked her when did this policy change as I was just there a month ago and it was a three week policy and she didn't say anything. I will not be returning and will be sure to tell others of my negative experience here. read more

Great experience with the owner and all the staff is really nice. My no chip was looked awesome, and has lasted me a month. Nails feel healthy, my only complaint is that they are usually pretty booked up (which is a compliment to them if anything) so make sure to call ahead to get an appointment around the time you'll need one. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for Sunday at 1:15p at Mellow Nail Salon. I went to their establishment promptly at 1:00 just to be there early and review colors (plus I'm always early). I get there and the doors are locked. I call 3-4x times, no response. The inbox is full, so I'm unable to leave a voicemail. I message them on Instagram and receive no type of response. I eventually just drive off frustrated because they wasted my time. I'm so frustrated since I like to have things scheduled ahead and stick to appointments and I put all of my bookings in my calendar. I call 3x times today (Monday) and cannot reach anyone during what is suppose to be their normal business hours. Eventually after my FOURTH phone call on Monday I reach someone and tell them that they missed my appointment yesterday. She says "oh, we have you for the following week". I know this is a scheduling error on their part, as I always put all of my bookings in my calendar plus I needed my nails done for a WEDDING I am the maid of honor in for this week. No way would I have scheduled an appointment for a date after the wedding. Not only did I have a scheduled appointment, but their front door says their hours are Sunday 11-4pm as well as Google and Yelp has those hours. So why they would Book me for a Sunday when they claim to be closed Sundays is beyond me. The woman on the phone said they were closed yesterday... ( which was apparent by the inside), but even if I didn't have an appointment I would have been confused to see the doors closed and lights off when it says they should be open. So here I am without my mani or pedi for a wedding that I'm the maid of honor in due to poor scheduling on their end. read more

I called on a Sunday and asked for the next available appointment for a full set and pedicure, they took my name and number and I was then scheduled for the following Tuesday at 1:30. Come Tuesday I arrive at 1:20-1:25 and was told that I was late that my appointment was for 1:00 and I could not be seen because of not enough time, like the full set I might understand not having time, but not even a pedicure??? Mind you they do not send confirmation text once you schedule or even reminders for that matter (what's the point taking my number IDK) so basically it's your word against there's on what time the appointment REALLY was, however me arriving at 12:25 they should have still had enough time to do at least a pedicure., I was so annoyed but yet I still managed to ask when would be the next available appointment and after she "looked" she said "next Sunday" lol I was like no thank you read more
