When I heard the story of Memory Trees Charity I knew I wanted to help. I still want to help. 100% of all profits from sales at MemoryTrees goes to the charity and benefits young people via apprenticeships and scholarships. The beautiful leather goods and musical instruments are all hand made by the people all over the world who learn the skills to make the products that is supported by Memory Trees! A complete circle of goodness! How wonderful! 1st visit , I purchased the owner's (with his wife Debbie and son Reese) autobiographical book,"Walking on Water", and read it that night. This is a life story of a man who rose from poverty to hosting a charity that actually gives a man and a woman a fishing pole... you know ... you don't just feed them fish... you teach them how to catch the fish. I knew I wanted to know more and help however I could. Next time I bought a beautiful handmade handbag. Next time I bought a handmade Ukulele! We have become friends. Rudi, the owner, was in finances and is helping me. The store is not only beautiful and well run, it is as I said an oasis I highly recommend . You will not be disappointed. Everything is beautifully handcrafted and displayed with care. There is a gallery of Debbie's lovely paintings of flowers and South Africa from where they hail. Last but not least is a gallery of paintings of every president from George Washington to Jimmy Carter by one artist with an interesting story of how this unique collection was obtained. Have fun and be sure to talk to the owners.

The venue is located in a non descript plaza but luckily I was able to get a good spot. The place is intimate with a lobby which leads into the theatre. Lots of chairs were cramped in. No place for a wheelchair though and only one exit door - could be a fire hazard. The cast consisted of children of all ages. They did a great job and had a ton of fun performing. Another major issue was the performers did not wear microphones. It was very difficult to hear the dialogue. They gave out very professional looking playbills. I think some alterations must be made for the whole thing to come together for safety and a better performance experience.

The school is good at coordinating performances at local community venues to give students the chance to perform on stage in front of an audience. Rodrigo (Luna) taught students at various levels how to perform as a band. They played 90s rock to a large, enthusiastic audience at Swamp Grass Willies in Palm Beach Gardens. Afterwards, my son continued taking guitar lesson with Will S. who is a talented musician and fabulous instructor. Will was super-supportive and helped him prepare for an audition at Berklee College of Music. I am thrilled to share that my son was accepted! I believe Will's ongoing support and excellent instruction, along with the positive experiences at School of Rock, helped my son reach his goals. Again, I believe the school does a great job finding opportunities for students to attend and participate in local music events. The instructors are professional, patient and provide quality lessons. I would recommend SOR anyone who wants to take music lessons and interact with other music students.

If you want your child to have a proper music education, send them anywhere else. You would probably be better watching YouTube tutorials. I think the issues stem from the top down. They are nickel and diming everyone, and the quality of work isn't worth the price. I can't tell you how many teachers my kid has had, and no they don't tell you. My child has gotten attached to three teachers only for them to never return. Front desk staff also turns over far too often. I've heard anecdotally from other parents that they do not treat their staff properly. I think the turnover rate speaks for itself. And the replacement teachers are young, clueless, and don't know their right hand from their left. Issues of racism and ableism are also an open secret. But I can't put up with this any longer. I have heard of multiple instances from parents about mistreatment or black and autistic children (and their families). I know the front desk refused to look a black mother in the eye. Anyway, I pulled my child out several weeks ago. I reccomend any parent looking for lessons to go anywhere else.
