Ive been coming here for some time now and it's such a vibe. The bar is such a nice touch to get the experience going whether you're having an old fashioned or just a sparkling water. Many months back my girlfriend recommended I treat myself to a nicer haircut and suggested Trey, as she'd been to Melrose & McQueen before and seen him cutting men's hair. My girlfriend's usually right about most things, but with this recommendation - she was extremely correct. Trey's been cutting and styling my hair for the almost 6 months now and I couldn't be happier with the results. When he cuts my hair, it's done in a way that thoughtful of each of its growth stages, so even when it's due for a cut it still looks good. I never write reviews, but have to share how incredible my experience with Nick Panzica was this afternoon. I had originally booked a full-foil highlight, but after assessing the condition of my hair, Nick thoughtfully and honestly explained that full highlights could cause more harm than good given the current damage. I appreciated his integrity and how gracefully he communicated this. Instead of simply moving forward with what I had booked, Nick met me exactly where I was -- wanting to brighten my blonde but also feeling stuck with very damaged hair -- and walked me through several thoughtful alternatives. We ultimately decided on a root tap to brighten my hairline and a trim to remove my split ends, which was the perfect balance. What really set the experience apart was how much time he invested in me beyond just the cut and color. We reviewed my entire hair care routine and went through every product and styling tool. Nick carefully explained where I may have been causing damage and offered specific recommendations for both my shower and styling products. It was clear that his advice was rooted in educated and clinical insights. Although this was my first appointment with Nick, I truly feel lucky to have landed in his chair! Not only did he do a beautiful job with my cut and color, but he also gave me tangible guidance on how to start rehabilitating my hair. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but he exceeded every expectation and absolutely deserves the recognition.
